Components of Teaching Profession & Code of Ethics

Components of Teaching Profession: 

  Teaching profession is one of the reputed professions that is not only responsible for shaping and nurturing of students but it is also shaping the furue of the society and nation.  An excellent teacher should have follow following things: 

1. He/she should have deep knowlege of the subject he/she is teaching. He/she should have idea/skill for presentation of his/her knowledge effectively.

2. He/she has a quality of instructions delivering to his/her student, in his medium of proficiency. 

3. He/she should have capacity to create a favourable teaching climate in his/her class. He/she should have identify the needs/requirements of his/her students.

4. He/she should have classroom management capacities. 

5. He/she should have professional and moral behaviour and should not indulge in non-professional/immoral activities. 

Code of Ethics: 

1. In teacher-student relation, the student matters first. Therefore, teacher should have strong humanitistic, moral, leadership and professional characteristics. 

2. He/she should have great committment to his/her teaching profession, not for short period of time but for long run whithout deteriorating his skill, attitude, devotion and passion. 

3. A professional teacher always study first before instructing his/her students.  A continuum study not-only sharp his/her skills but also, it make him aware of new ideas, technology, methodology emerging with time. 

4. He/she should have healthy relations with his/her students, non-teaching supporting staff, parents, collegues, guidance counselors and administrators.  It makes a healthy and productive environment in a class.
