Critical evaluation of liberalism

Liberalism is the dominant ideology of the modern world. It believes in the master less individual, rationality and goodness. The individuals have freedom in all spheres, like political, social, cultural, economical and moral-intellectual-spiritual etc. It believes in the inalienable rights of the individual, free commerce and state-individual relationship. Though the liberalism is most advocated theory in political science, yet some scholars criticize it. Some scholars think that liberalism is an amorphous ideology. In a liberal society, a group of individual is liberal while the same time other group is against the liberalism, like the general and the soldier, the manager and the labours etc. The liberal view of man and society has also been criticised. In the era of globalization, man is egoistic, lonely, separate from society and possessive for his selfish. There are artificial institutions without organic unity like to joint family. After industrialization, a new class, commonly known as capitalists is emerged. This class works to maximize its gain and advocates for economic philosophy of the capitalism rather than liberalism. Liberalism has no positive conception of social good and that its egoistic individualism made it look with suspicious on the validity of any conception of liberalism. The advocating institutions of liberalism tried their best for their maximum gain when profit is being shared by other institutions.
