Synopsis

1. Title of the Project: Study of Security & Strength of Noise Based Data Encryption

2. Objectives of the study: The objective of this project is “Study of Security & Strength of Noise Based Data Encryption” method to secure private information from the hackers.

3. Rationale for the study: There are several methods of data encryption in the field of computer science. The strength of data encryption is its key feature. New hardware and fast computing systems are emerging each day in the field of fast computing. If an encryption is not crackable for a long period of time or its cracking costs a huge resource then it is assumed to be a secure data encryption. For example, if a hacker costs Rs 100 for information that costs Rs 80, then the data encryption for this information is considered as a secured data encryption. Evaluations are made for whether noise based encryption is secure or not and whether it is of requisite strength.

4. Methodology used in carrying out the study : The methodologies used in this project is based on the insertion of unwanted data (noise) between the useful data in random order. Whole data such obtained is XORed encrypted by using indexed based pseudo random numbers initiated by using private key. The data block size, noise size and random order are defined by the user independently. This is why; there is no public key or data available for the hackers at any point of security.

5. The expected contribution from the study: This is another method of data security apart from the other available data encryption methods available as open source. This study provides a valuation theoretical concept for the deepened security. Though in this process, data size increases but availability of large storage devices undermine the size of encrypted data. This is also helpful in the backup storage or in archiving of valuable information in highly secured encrypted form.
