Empowerment of women and capacity building

Women share half of the world population and have equal capacity as the men.  Since the civilization, women are treated under the patriarchal society and assigned the household jobs.  The distribution of labour works of men and women is justifiable for smooth functioning of life and home. Later evolution of societies, technologies, and change in attitude, manual work is replaced by the technologically advanced machinery and manual labour becomes secondary.  The capacity of a worker now is not measured by its physical strength but is measured by knowledge, administrative powers, handling of situations and strategic planning.

This opens the doors for women to explore themselves beyond the boundaries of house and can shown their strength.  Now, with improving pace, women are working in nearly all fields like health, security, policy making, management, education, administration and so on.

The empowering of women leads the increase of household income, caring of children, mental status, economic strength and politics etc. In private and public institutions, the growth has been increased by induction of women and several studies have been shown that the handling of anti-situations by women is better than the men.

In developing countries, till now, the women are engaged in non-production and non-incentive jobs, like fetching of water, carrying fodder, hours long cooking of food etc. To increase the capacity of women, these issues should be addressed so that, she can get more time for productive activities.
