Indo-US relations in the new millennium.

After independence India and USA were agriculture partners and USA was a key member for India's food demand supplier.  After Indo-Pak was of 1965, tension arose between Indo-US relations.  In 1998, india's Nuclear test, USA pose sanctions on trade, technology transfer and other aids, but soon the Clienton Administration realize an opportunity with India in trade and commerce as indian economy booms at rate of 7% per annum.  Washington saw positive benefit in engaging an economically vibrant, democratically stable and militarily powerful India. Pakistan is an all-time alies of USA but relations between India and Pakistan are not stable.  Terrorism remains a key point of dialogue between India and USA since the Clinton's visit. President Bush considered China a strategic competitor and India a democratic strategic partner.  India has strengthen the relation with USA in all area and major breakthrough acheived when UPA government signed Civil Nuclear Programm with USA in 2005. After terrorist attack on USA on September 11, 2001, Indo-US relations kept improving when India declared unconditional support to the US war against terrorism. Doubts arises between Indo-US relations when Pakistan uses USA military aids worth 32 billion dollars to increase its military strength rather than fighting against terrorism. Trump Administration has stopped the military aid to Pakistan and favoured cooperation with India in fighting against terrorism.  Since 2014, Indo-US has inked economical, technological and trade pacts during the visits of Indian Prime Minister to US.
