Move up the stairs to your north and enter the shack. The woman inside will heal your Pokemon when you talk to her. Feel free to come back to here anytime during this Route to have your Pokemon healed. Head back outside. Head west to the bridge. When you reach, head south along the stream. You'll reach a small tree that can be Cut down to get to a Heart Scale. Alternatively, you can Surf around to it and grab it. Use one of these methods to retrieve it, then head back to the bridge.

Head over the bridge and follow the stream north. You'll be stopped by a Battle Girl who'll challenge you to a battle.

L53 Throh (Fighting)

Move around the Battle Girl and continue north, following the stream along. Keep going until you reach the Ace Trainer.

L53 Emolga (Electric & Flying)

L53 Jellicent (Water & Ghost)

Once he's defeated, head west through the small gap between the cliff face and a rock, then head north. Continue to follow the stream along. You'll reach a Hiker, who you can battle.

Once the battle's over, continue east under the bridge, over to the stairs. Continue east past the stairs over to the stream. You'll see a shack on the other side of it. Surf across and enter the shack. Talk to the man inside and he'll give you TM35, Flamethrower. Exit and Surf back to the stairs. Head up them to the Ace Trainer above. If you head up the left side of the stairs, you won't be challenged by the trainer at the top.

If you wish to, you can head straight to Victory Road now. Head west from the top of the steps along the dirt path. Continue under the bridge and you'll reach some stairs leading north. Move around the Pokémon Ranger to avoide the battle and head up them. If you do, you'll be in Victory Road! Feel free to skip ahead to that section. If you want to explore the rest of Route 23 though, read on!

First, let's battle the Ace Trainer at the top of the steps.

L53 Swanna (Water/Flying)

L53 Galvantula (Bug/Electric)

Head over the bridge east of the Ace Trainer and turn on your Dowsing MCHN. Use it to find the Rare Candy in the south-west corner of the area on the other side. Head back to the Ace Trainer. Head over the bridge just west and south of the trainer. The item in the Tall Grass here is actually an L52 Amoonguss.

Now let's head over the next bridge leading south. Move over to the green thing and a Pokémon Ranger will jump out, that will give you Sitrus Berry.

L52 Stunfisk (Ground & Electric)

L52 Amoonguss (Grass & Poison)

Stunfisk

Type: Ground & Electric

EV: 2HP

Grab the TM05, Roar. Now head back over the bridge and battle the Black Belt to your east.

L53 Sawk (Fighting)

Continue along the path (head through the Tall Grass around the Black Belt if he's blocked you from moving through normally) and continue along the path south. When you reach the bridge taking you east, stop and turn on your Dowsing MCHN. Use it to check the rock south-east of the bridge to find a Star Piece. Now continue south to the end of the path. You'll find some Iron at the end. Now head back to the bridge and head over it.

Once you're over the bridge, head south through the Tall Grass. When you reach the small tree, use Cut on it and head through the gap. Head back north and grab the item near the ledge, which happens to be another Star Piece. Drop down the ledge and head back over the bridge. If you don't have Cut, you can take the long way to the very southern end of the path and then move north up the western path to the Star Piece.

Once you're back over the bridge, head north, past the Black Belt. Head over the bridge past him taking you back north. Now let's head north along the dirt path. You'll reach a Pokémon Ranger near some stairs. Interact with her if you wish to partake in a battle.

L53 Floatzel (Water)

L53 Lucario (Fighting & Steel)

She'll give you a Sitrus Berry. Continue west past Rena until you reach the small tree. Cut it and move through the first patch of Tall Grass. From there, head south-west over to the stairs. Move up them and grab the Full Heal. Move back down the steps and use Strength on the boulder at the foot of them and push it south into the hole. move back north-east over to where the small tree is. Now move west into the gap in the trees. When the gap splits in two, take the bottom of the two paths. Follow it along until you come upon a Hiker who's looking for someone to battle.

L53 Boldore (Rock)

L53 Aggron (Steel & Rock)

Aggron

Type: Rock & Steel

EV: 3Def

Dex No: No.306

Catch Rate: 45

Height: 6'11"

Weight: 793.7 lbs.

Cut the tree near him. Move south through the gap you just created. To your south-east is another boulder which can be pushed. Push it south two tiles, then head west along the thin path. You'll eventually reach an Ace Trainer.

L54 Scolipede (Bug & Poison)

L54 Arcanine (Fire)

Move back to where the Hiker is. There's an L56 Amoonguss in the patch of Tall Grass to your west.

Once you're done, continue following the path west, which will double back on itself and head east before turning north. At the end is a Black Belt. Move up behind him and talk to him.

L53 Gurdurr (Fighting)

L53 Scrafty (Dark & Fighting)

Move all the way back to the Hiker and continue back east over to the small tree. Use Cut on it and move through the gap. Follow the path taking you east until you reach the end. When you do, turn on your Dowsing MCHN and use it to find the Ultra Ball. Head back west and when the two paths split, take the top path that's Repeat Ball, then take the second path. Head west and there's an Ace Trainer.

L54 Magmar (Fire)

L54 Mamoswine (Ice & Ground)

Head back around and take the southern of the two split paths. Now head west all the way past the Ace Trainer to the Black Belt. Just before the blackbelt is a hidden little path, just north of the path of Tall Grass. Move up into it then head west up the stairs. Move over until you reach the stairs leading back down and find the HP Up at the end. Now backtrack to the main path and continue onto the Black Belt.

Continue until you reach the small tree. When you do, use Cut on it, move through the gap and head south through the Tall Grass. Continue all the way through it to the other side and grab the Calcium at the end of the path here. Move north back through the Tall Grass until you see the ledge to your east. Move through the gap and jump over the ledge.

Move east and head down the steps to the pond below. Use Surf and head across it to the eastern side. Now head east, not taking the stairs. You'll see a boulder than can be pushed into a hole. Do so, then head up the stairs past them. There's a boulder to your west which you should push one tile west. Now head back down the steps that you just came up and head back to the water. Move up the stairs near the water and jump over the ledge at the top. Now push the boulder two tiles north. Move around back to the water and Surf back to the north-western shore.

Move back up the steps and head east and push the boulder one tile east. Now push it one tile north, into the hole. There's a boulder just east of the boulder that you pushed into the hole. If you pushed it a little way south before, you'll be able to push it east now. Push it east into the hole there.

There's another boulder to the south-east of the hole that you just pushed the last one into. Push this one one tile east. Now, assuming you pushed the boulder to its north into the hole before, move around and over it so that you can push the boulder south. Push it south all the way into the hole, then move over it and push the final boulder east. That's that puzzle done!

First, let's head back west. When you're near the steps, turn your Dowsing MCHN on and use it to find the Yellow Shard hidden in the rock near the edge of a small cliff. Head back to where you pushed the last boulder into the hole. Head over it and up the stairs. You'll find a Battle Girl running around some trees here.

L53 Gurdurr (Fighting)

L53 Mienshao (Fighting)

Once she's defeated, you'll have defeated every trainer in Route 23! There's not much left to do now. First grab the item sitting to the left of the rock to the Battle Girl's east. It's obscured by a tree and will turn out to be a Max Potion. Now, continue east until you reach the bridge and head north over it. On the other side is an item hidden between the Tall Grass. Use your Dowsing MCHN to find it. It turns out to be a PP Up! Now head west over the next bridge. Head through the Dark Grass on the other side to find TM12, Taunt. Now head back over both bridge, back past the Battle Girl and down the stairs.

Move through the Tall Grass just left of the stairs, leading north. The item near the start of the patch of Tall Grass is actually another L56 Amoonguss.

Continue through the patch. Towards the end you'll see another item (which is actually an item) sitting snugly in the Tall Grass. Move over and grab it. You'll find that it's a Green Shard. Now head east and jump over the ledge. You're back relatively close to the entrance to Victory Road. Move back east and you'll see the female Pokémon Ranger near the stairs. Head up the stairs to enter the final area before the Pokémon League!

C28-02: Victory Road

Once you've move up the stairs into Victory Road, follow the black and white path north. You'll come upon N who will speak with you for a while before eventually giving you HM05, Waterfall.

Anywho, afterwards, go along the path west. As you move between the pillars, you will be checked for 8 badges. Afterwards, you'll reach the main gate, which will light up and slide into the ground. Go past it and north to find the main entrance to the main Victory Road. Just east of the entrance is somewhat of a makeshift Pokémon Center, outfitted with a Nurse, PC and PokéMart. Head inside and heal your Pokémon and restock items if you wish to, then head back outside.

First, let's head east. You'll see a line of trees moving between two cliffs, move between the trees and the north of the two cliffs (yes, there's an obscured path here). Follow the path all the way along and you'll find TM01, Hone Claws at the end. Grab it, then backtrack all the way back to the entrance of the Pokémon Center.

Just south of the ledge to the south-east is a path leading to a few nice items. Move into it and take the south past first. At the end of the path is a hidden Iron. Now head back and take the west path. When you reach the two trees, you'll see a path leading east on the opposite side, with a rock at the end. Move over to and check this rock to find a Dusk Stone. Head back to the main path, then continue south, then east. When you see the first path leading south along this path, take it and head to its end. You'll find a PP Up there. Head back to the path and continue east. Take the second path leading south when you reach it.

Follow this path to the grassy part. When you reach it, head east and then head north up the eastern side of the area. Continue following it north-west until you reach the item just before the ledge. Grab the item, which turns out to be a Star Piece, then jump down the ledge. Head west and enter Victory Road itself. But wait! We let's explore areas which use Waterfall!

C28-03: Route 20

Once you've obtained Waterfall, you can return here to do a little more exploring. You should have entered from Virbank City, so you should start at the north-east part of the route. Head west from the gate and down the steps taking you south. Once you've moved the last of them and see the Dark Grass nearby, head south-east over to the water. Head onto the water with and Surf south. When you see the water leading west, follow it over to the waterfall. Use Waterfall and head up it.

First, head west. When you reach the stream leading south, head down it. Zigzag between the two rocks and keep heading south until you reach the land at the end. You'll need to be here during Autumn to access this land. If you're too impatient for Autumn to come naturally, feel free to change the date on your DS or 3DS. Simply set it to March, July or November and re-enter the game. You will need to exit and re-enter the area to force the switch between seasons. If you need to, head back to where you were and move onto the land, which should now be covered in leaves.

There's a Pokémon Ranger here, buried in the leaves. One out-of-place orange leaf denotes her position. Move in front of her and she'll pop out. Challenge her!

L32 Foongus (Grass & Poison)

L32 Leavanny (Bug & Grass)

She'll give you Sitrus Berry. Just east of the Pokémon Ranger is an item, a Sticky Barb. Snatch it up, then Surf west from the bit of land you're on at the moment. You'll reach a cave. That's Cave of Being, you cannot do anything until you have defeat the Elite Four. Head back to the top of the waterfall. Don't head back down it, but instead move onto the land just north of it. Jump over the first ledge and turn your Dowsing MCHN on. Use it to find the Big Mushroom.

C28-04: Lostlorn Forest

Once you've obtained Waterfall, you can return here to do a little more exploring. Enter Lostlorn Forest by its only entrance, the southern one. Remember that the Pokemon Breeder at the beginning of the entrance will want to battle you. The water, however, is right at the entrance anyway, so there should be no need to have to battle him. Move up to the water on the right side of the bridge and use Surf to move onto it.

Now move over to the waterfall and use Waterfall to traverse it and reach the top. Once you have, move onto the land on the right side of the stream first. Grab the item sitting in the Tall Grass, which turns out to be a Rare Candy, then move back onto the water. Head over to the land on the left side of the stream. Now move north until you reach the Veteran.

L51 Larvesta (Bug & Fire)

L51 Pinsir (Bug)

L51 Heracross (Bug & Fighting)

L51 Leavanny (Bug & Grass)

L51 Scolipede (Bug & Poison)

Once he's done for, turn on your Dowsing MCHN and use it to find the Grass Gem hidden in the north-west tile of grass at the corner of the cliff. Once you have it, you're done!

C28-05: Route 11

Once you've obtained Waterfall, you can return here to do a little more exploring. Enter Route 11 by its western entrance, from Opelucid City. Head east until you reach the bridge enabling people to cross the stream. Use Surf to hop onto the water north of the bridge. Move over to the waterfall and use Waterfall to head up it.

Once you're at the top, move onto the land to the west first. Move west until you find an item obscured between two trees. Move over to this item and pick it up to find that it's some Zinc! Loverly! Now move back to the water and Surf to the land east of the top of the waterfall. Use your Dowsing MCHN to find the HP Up hidden here. Now move back onto the water once more, head back down the waterfall and move back onto the bridge.

This time, head onto the water south of the bridge and Surf along the stream, taking you east. When you reach the waterfall at the end, drop down it to the water below. Move onto the land to your east. There's an L43 Amoonguss.

Once you're done, head north-west, then head north under the bridge. Once you're on the other side, move up to the Pokémon Ranger here.

L52 Simisage (Grass)

L52 Simisear (Fire)

L52 Simipour (Water)

She'll give you an Aspear Berry. The supposed item to the left is simply another L43 Amoonguss. The supposed item to the right is an actual item, believe it or not. Pick it up to find that it's a Razor Fang.

C28-06: Route 14

Once you can use Waterfall, there's a little more that you can do here. Head back to where the Fisherman is. Now use Waterfall to head up the waterfall to his north. Once you've traversed it, move north along the water. You'll be at a T-intersection. Head east and move onto the little strip of land north of the water. Use your Dowsing MCHN to find the Nugget hidden here. Now head back onto the water and head back to where the waterfall that you came up is. There's some land to your west. Move onto it and head west along it. Continue until you reach the Black Belt at the end.

If you move onto the land to your west and follow the path along, you'll reach an entrance to the Abundant Shrine. Feel free to head into it and begin exploring. If not, continue down the stream until you reach the last part of land you can explore. Move onto it and use your Dowsing MCHN to find the hidden Protein. You can now either head back west and enter the Abundant Shrine, jump over the ledge and continue exploring Route 14 or head somewhere else! Your choice.

As soon as you enter, you'll see some people talking about Landorus. The lady tells you about Thundurus and Tornadus, too, but all three of them will eventually wander off.

Anyway, head west until you find a house, and then keep going west until you find a one-way ledge. There's actually a hidden Calcium over there. Head back to the house and then go north until you see some tilled soil. In the northeast corner, before climbing up the second set of steps, is a hidden TinyMushroom. To the north is Youngster.

L39 Skorupi (Poison & Bug)

L39 Seviper (Poison)

To the east of him is a Shiny Stone, which is always nice to have.

Go back to the tilled soil and then head west to find some Twins.

L38 Swablu (Normal & Flying)

L38 Swablu (Normal & Flying)

Past them, don't bother heading south, as that just takes you to that ledge earlier. Instead, climb the steps and fight the Lass.

L39 Deerling (Normal & Grass)

L39 Zangoose (Normal)

To the east of her is a Max Revive.

Climb the steps near the Lass and then head north of the tilled soil to find a hidden Big Mushroom near the flowers. To the east of that is a Youngster.

L37 Karrablast (Bug)

L37 Shelmet (Bug)

L37 Joltik (Bug & Electric)

L37 Scolipede (Bug & Poison)

Southeast of him is TM92, Trick Room. North of the Youngster is the shrine where Landorus would appear in Black and White if you brought Thundurus and Tornadus there. In this game, though, you can bring Therian Forme Landorus here to receive the Reveal Glass, which allows you to change the formes of the trio. You can only get the Therian Formes by playing on the NINTENDO 3DS app, the Pokémon Dream Radar.

Anyway, head over to the east, pick up the Heal Ball.

Further east is a PKMN Breeder, but don't worry, he won't fight you. Instead, he'll give you the Funfest Mission. Pick up the Rare Candy right by him, then even more importantly, swing on over to the other side of the tilled soil to pick up the hidden PP Max.

Go back to the Victory Road when you're ready!
