This time, Pokémon Breeder rematch with you when you re-enter instead of giving you a berry.

You can choose to either take the path left, into the sandy area, or continue north.

First, take the path west.

Sand are like tall grass, except it will becomes slower than walking if you cycle!

Move north-west until you reach the stairs leading to the waterside below. Move down them. You'll find a couple of Fishermen here, as well as a Mystic Water past them both.

Backtrack to the main road and instead take the path north. Make sure you're prepared for a battle before venturing forward. You'll encounter Colress. The one you meet him.

He notes that there are some Crustle blocking the path ahead and uses it as an opportunity to make use of a machine that he's developed which causes the Crustle to flee.

Then, he'll battle you!

Colress will flee himself, but not without giving you a Protein first. Once he's left, continue north up the road. You can enter the first building on the right when you reach it, NOTHING!

Enter the second building on your right. She'll ask you to trade your Cottonee for her Petilil.

On the second floor, next to the television, you'll find a Wide Lens.

Continue north along the road and enter the building on the left of the path. On the second floor is a man who'll give you a Sitrus Berry if you talk to him.

Continue on and enter the final building, on the right side of the road at the T-junction. The woman on the bottom floor will let you choose a Pokemon and will return a name of another Pokemon in your party. Exit the building when you're done.

The sign on the north-west corner of the T-junction shows a Trainer Tip. You can either choose to head north and enter Join Avenue and then Nimbasa City or head west and explore the rest of Route 4.

Every walkthrough must guide the rest of the area.

Road leading left is Policeman Dell.

Continue along the path leading west. When the road turns north, you will notice a small shack to the west of the road. You can enter it and talk to the woman inside to heal your party whenever you wish.

Move back east and walk down the steps to the south of the road.

You're in another sandy area. Move south and go up the stairs leading west when you reach them. Move north between the partially-constructed building and ridge until you reach the end of the thin path.

You're adjacent and looking at the final tile, press A to find a Red Shard.

Go back and move back down the steps. East, then South to find Policeman Neagle.

L22 Herdier (Normal)

Move south, past the Policeman, then head south-east over to the stairs there. Move up them, then follow the path north to the end. You'll find TM28, Dig.

Just before the stairs is...... Use Dowsing MCHN and find Hyper Potion.

Now move up the stairs. Here there are a number of trainers, all itching for a fight, as well as three items, one of them hidden in sand.

You can find the Stardust, west of Roughneck and north of Biker.

The second's south of the four top trainers, on the way to the Hooligans. There's a Grip Claw.

To the west of the Hooligans is a hidden Green Shard.

The final items are through a gap in between the fence on the right and some girders, a little before the Hooligans.

Walk through the gap and into the sand. Find a hidden Yellow Shard. Now move a little further east in this sand area.

Move over and find Stardust.

Head east from the two Hooligans. You'll find a L25 Mandibuzz with its Hidden Ability there.

From here, you can head back to the house with the lady who heals you Pokemon and then choose to either head north past the house into Desert Resort or head back east, before taking the path north at the T-junction and heading to Nimbasa City. If you want to skip straight to there, click the internal link, otherwise continue on to the walkthrough covering Desert Resort!

Now head north, down the stairs. Follow the path along to the Twins. Instead of taking them on immediately, head into the Sand to their west.

Find the hidden Red Shard hidden around here.

Head into the small building to your north-west.

Inside you'll find a woman that will mimic a Pokemon's cry and ask you to identify which of your party Pokemon's cries she emulated. If you guess correctly, you receive a Poke Toy. Wonderful! Once you have it, head back outside and head back over to Twins Tara & Val.

Past the twins you'll find an intersection. Take the east path. You'll stopped by Lady Lina.

L22 Liepard (Dark)

Once she's been enlightened, move between the gap in the buildings to the south and grab the Stardust there.

Head back to the Lady and move east. Skip past the first building and enter the next one. Inside you'll find a Youngster, keen to trade your Petilil in exchange for his Cottonee. If you partake in the trade, the Pokemon you receive will be at Lv. 20.

Once you're done, grab the BrightPowder behind him, then leave the building.

Outside you'll find Backpacker Rachel.

Now head east, off the path and through the Sand, to the building at the end.

You'll find a woman that, if spoken to, will fully heal your Pokemon. How convenient.

Head back outside. Head west to the sand. you'll find the Stardust.

Once you have it, head north-west, through a small gap between two buildings to the trainer behind. Walk in front of Pokéfan Sachiko and the battle will begin.

L22 Darumaka (Fire)

Use it to find the Green Shard hidden to the west of the Pokéfan. Move back to the Pokéfan and head along the thin winding north-east. When you reach what seems like the end of the path, head east and you'll move behind a building.]

When you come out the other side, you'll find Light Clay for the taking.

Days of the week

Day: Monday

If you look around the houses back here by where the Pokéfan, you can find a Braviary L25 sitting outside.

Take it then head back to where the Backpacker is walking around. Near her you should see a gap leading south.

Find the Yellow Shard, head east, then south, down to Pokéfan Norbert.

Head into the nearby building. Talk to the Black Belt inside and he'll hand you Sitrus Berry x3.

Run back outside, backtrack to the Backpacker then all the way back to the intersection. This time take the west path and talk to Rich Boy Keenan.

L22 Herdier (Normal)

Find the hidden Hyper Potion to the Rich Boy's north.

Head to the very western edge of the area, then head north into the Sand. Move north-east across the Sand until you're past it. Here you'll find TM28, Dig.

Backtrack to the intersection. Head north up the stairs and onto the proper road. You'll see a Backpacker Roland walking in circles here.

From here, you can head back to the house with the lady who heals you Pokemon and then choose to either take the path to Roland's west, leading to Desert Resort or the path to his right, leading to Nimbasa City via Join Avenue. If you want to skip straight to Join Avenue or Nimbasa City, click the appropriate link, otherwise let's head into Desert Resort!

C09-02: Desert Resort

Wild Pokémon:

After moving under the highway north of the shack of the lady that heals your Pokemon, the landscape will change rapidly, leaving you in what feels like a vast desert. This place is quite ironically known as Desert Resort. Follow the path past the two people until you reach the gateway. Enter it and continue through to the other side.

Nurse Mariah to the north of the entrance.

L22 Cleffa (Normal)

The Black Belt to the west of the gate isn't looking to fight. But... Pokémon Ranger Jaden west of the Black Belt does!

L23 Darumaka (Fire)

To the west of Pokémon Ranger Jaden in a small depression is Stardust.

Head west and continue until you see an item to your south. Move south to find that it's a Green Shard. Backtrack to the Ranger.

There's also a Star Piece hidden in the deep sand north of him, so move north and use your Dowsing MCHN to find it.

You'll be directed north-west by your Dowsing MCHN. It's a Blue Shard.

Backpacker Clara stumbling around in the sand here who you may wish to battle.

L22 Sandshrew (Ground)

West of her is another Blue Shard! Continue further west to meet Backpacker Sam.

L22 Dwebble (Bug & rock)

First collect the Red Shard near the Backpacker, then move through the thin path leading west, found to the south of the Backpacker Tami.

L22 Drilbur (Ground)

Move south and a hidden item. Dowsing MCHN will point south-east. Follow it to the Fire Stone and collect it. Now move west and grab the Max Ether. Backtrack to the male Backpacker.

Move north to the next male Backpacker that doesn't battle. When you near him, A hidden Red Shard to your north-east.

Backpacker Walt wants to battle you!

L22 Sandile (Ground & Dark)

There's an hidden item to the east. Move north-west first and battle Psychic Future.

L23 Munna (Psychic)

To the north-west is a Nugget. Head back to the female Psychic.Head east over to the Pokemon Ranger and speak with him. Funfest Missions, Treasure Hunting! will be unlocked.

Now head back to the dune with the Backpacker on it. You should get a reading on your Dowsing MCHN again. Follow it to find a Ground Gem!

There's the entrance to Relic Castle. There's also Psychic Tommy.

Now move north past the entrance to Relic Castle. You'll find a Heart Scale.

Move east and your Dowsing MCHN will pick up another hidden item on its radar. Follow it into the sand and grab the Super Repel once you find it.

move south along the eastern edge of the area. You'll come upon a man in black. You'll receive Soft Sand from him.

Continue following along the eastern edge of the map and you'll find a Yellow Shard.

Pick it up then follow the thin path between the sand down to the Pokémon Ranger Anja.

L23 Magby (Fire)

Enter Relic Castle.

C09-03: Relic Castle

RECALL

If you run/cycle on the quicksand, or stand in the middle of the quicksand, you'll fall.

Fall inside the quicksand. There's a hidden Heart Scale. Move right and challenge Psychic Low

L23 Solosis (Psychic)

Move over to the stairs and go up them. You're back on the top floor. Jump over the ledge back to where you started. This time, move left and move around the edge of the west sinkhole. Make sure that you're walking around it, not running, otherwise you'll fall in. Once you're around it, you'll come upon Psychic Perry.

L23 Sigilyph (Psychic & Flying)

Move down the stairs to the lower level. Move right to battle Psychic Dua.

L23 Gothita (Psychic)

Now move right and collect the item TM39 which contains Rock Tomb. Leave this area and Continue past her and back to the entrance to Desert Resort. Head through Route 4 to Join Avenue.

C09-04: Join Avenue

Before you reach Nimbasa City, you must first visit Join Avenue. This place replaces the normal gate that you'd find before a city. Join Avenue acts as a hub for the avatars of people that you battle online, so as soon as you play a battle online, this place begins to have a use. Until then however, the building remains empty.

Once you enter for the first time, there's a bit to do, even if you haven't yet played online. Move forward to be greeted by a suited man surrounded by some girls. After conversing for a while, the man will ask you a question. Answer 'Yes' to it and the dialogue will advance. After you continue talking to him, he will eventually ask you to name two things. The first is your favourite phrase and the second is something you'd say when you're impressed.

After that, one of the girls will perk up and talk with the man. Two of the girls and the man will then leave, leaving you with a blue-haired pair. They'll ask you what you'd like to be called whenever you're in the Avenue. Once you do, conversation will end and you'll be free to go! Exit to Nimbasa City!
