Sun's energy

The Sun's energy is stored in oil, coal and gas. These were made millions of years ago from dead plants. We burn them to make electricity.

For example, Petrol is made from oil. Cars burn petrol to give out it's energy. This energy makes the car move.

Oil can be used to make plastic, petrol, washing-up liquid and dye up colour material.

Coal can be used to make plastic, paint, soap, perfume and pencil leads.
