Held within His gentle arms
a mother cradled lovingly
away from all that could harm
and he brings her home safely.
Watched beneath His patient gaze
a child whose laughter rings
through the darkness and haze
for the Light his joy brings.
Ode to the Teacher, our Father,
sing loudly your praises to Him.
Let Him lift you to travel farther
than the place where the world begins.
For He is the Lord of the Light
and there is no other I would follow.
May He shelter us with gentle might
and teach us to love like no morrow.
In every smile do I see Him.
In every hymn I hear His voice.
He fills my heart to the brim
and always I must rejoice!
For He is the One, our Savior,
glory in the highest unto Him.
No matter what e'er came before
in His merciful Light, we are kin.
He is the Father of the Light
and there is no other I would follow.
May He shelter us with gentle might
and teach us to love like no morrow.
Softly do I hear Him calling me,
calling me home to His embrace
where I will lift my head and see
my beloved Father's face.
Ode to the Teacher, our Father,
sing loudly your praises to Him.
Let Him lift you to travel farther
than the place where the world begins.
For He is the Lord of the Light
and there is no other I would follow.
May He shelter us with gentle might
and teach us to love like no morrow.

I call, this day, to you dear Lord
to look to me and my heart.
I call, this day, to You, Father
in search of a new start.
Like the air and like the sky
I may not always see You there
and sometimes I may wonder why
but I will always believe in You.
No matter where I have been, or where I will go
tis always been You who has watched o'er me
and when my time has come, to walk on Home
Your loving face is the one I want to see.
So lift me up into Your redeeming arms,
knowing that I might not always do right,
but as long as I keep You in my heart
You will always be there at my side.
May I never forget the gift You gave
of Light, of goodness and Love.
May I always kneel and always crave
Your acceptance from up above.
For You, dear Lord, are the true King
of all within my heart and soul.
Shadows fear what Your light will bring
but in You I will know no woe.

To the White Moon I talk, But, to others I listen. Reflecting afore my
walk, letting my eyes glisten. In haste you astray, which is why I stay.
Up by the moon, keeping my tune.
From its' light we seek, to stay true to our feet. To better the light, by
fighting for right. In times of need, Gifted magic deeds, Helping our chum,
rejoicing with rum!
Of the light moon our gift, For the light, we uplift. "Of the Light, for
the Light," Use it for what's right! For In darkness I keep watch, so this
gift you won't botch. By ignoring His wish Your gift might vanish.
Oh! If these tenets you fail, No need to turn pale. Forgiveness you wish?
It is his best dish. Forgive and accept, Those who truly wept. Returning
through atonement, Makes for a divine moment.
What could that be? Ah, generosity I see! Be generous towards others, and
always your mothers! Through the children we teach, to provide them a
better reach. Providing for those in need, is always a good deed.
From town to town I have flown, and seen children's minds blown. Joy and
Happiness He brings, As I hoot and sing. Bring smiles to faces, from all
the light places. No deception or sorrow, only laughter for tomorrow.
From this perch I see, his magic all around thee. But, never forget It is a
gift we are lent. Never take it for granted, Don't forget where we're
headed. It is a privilege, alright? Not a right that's airtight.
Destruction I have seen, and the creation of roses serene. Through studious
time, we improve our rhyme. But, what for other students? We must provide
substance. "Blessed to learn, blessed to teach," This wise old owl does
preach.
I love to hoot: Unity! Unity! What does a lonely owl know of unity? Pay
attention and I will show you, That lonely mouse will soon know too. What a
great feast he will make, as I swoop down on my take. If he had not strayed
from the cluster, He would not be my supper!
At last, we come to my tenet most dear, Actions speak louder than words,
young seer. Through your actions you show, All of Algoron below, How the
means bless the end, And that truth can't bend. And through this moon's
light My eyes will always keep sight.

Caged in black despair,
The dark sorrow filled moon,
Our Lord, graceful and fair,
His heart bright as noon,
In every trial He does endure,
Sword of Austinian pure,
The inner fire of goodness, right,
To guide in the endless night,
He our guide, we His strength,
To endure any length,
We reach Him every day,
No matter what lies in the way.
Lift your voices in prayer,
Halls echo with song,
The hope, the joy in the air,
Will keep Honor strong.
In every trial we face,
We close on evil's pace,
With every wrong we right,
A lock broken on the endless night,
His grace released,
Mischief and evil ceased,
Bright sword and word,
Nadrik's return is assured,
To purge evil from the land,
Knights at His hand.
Lift your voices in prayer,
Halls echo with song,
The hope, the joy in the air,
Will keep Honor strong,
Till the day there is no despair,
And Nadrik's song rings everywhere.
- Lady Datai d'Aggravaine, Lorekeeper of Knighthood
Hope of good in each candle lit,
Bright prayers dancing on flaming warm,
Comforting hopes, gentle dreams flit,
Between stars above, safe from harm,
From envy, cruelty below,
Where in the black surrounds we dream,
Of peace and joy, a love to show,
The way through hot hate, anger's steam,
Blows away to reveal the night sky,
High above our gods' promises lit,
Candles of hope, evil defy,
Goodness and hope in our souls writ.
- Lady Datai d'Aggravaine, Songstress of Siccara
Hark, heed not evil's lies and claims,
Nadrik lives, Honor remains,
From this truth Devion cowers and hides,
Honor still lives and through us rides,
Children living and loving Him safe at home,
For we still teach from His holy tome,
In the eyes of each youth who trains,
Hope remains, hope remains,
Imprisoned at the hand of lies and deceit,
His grace and honor never retreat,
Stand fast with our divine love in view,
Trust Honor to see us through,
Through all His suffering and pains,
Hope remains, hope remains,
Carried as torch from one to the next,
Onward, unknowing what to expect,
Honor guiding each as time does turn,
Till our Lord's freedom we earn,
Seraph singing joyful refrains,
Hope remains, hope remains,
Standing tall against Hell's flames,
Nadrik lives, Honor remains.
- Dame Datai d'Aggravaine, Songstress of Siccara

This song is a traditional highlander song, which Dame Fyahy'll Bruce brought to our attention. It suits so well our cause, I have placed it here for all knights to enjoy.
If wealth thou art wooing, or title, or fame,
There is that in the doing brings honour or shame,
There is something in running life's perilous race,
Will stamp thee as worthy, or brand thee as base.
Oh, then, be a man -- and, whatever betide,
Keep truth thy companion, and honour thy guide.
If a king -- be thy kingship right royally shewn,
And trust to thy subjects to shelter thy throne,
Rely not on weapons or armies of might,
But on that which endureth, -- laws, loving and right.
Though a king, be a man -- and, whatever betide,
Keep truth thy companion, and honour thy guide.
If a noble -- remember, though ancient thy blood,
The heart truly noble is that which is good,
Should a stain of dishonour encrimson thy brow,
Thou art slave to the peasant that sweats at the plough.
Be noble as man -- and, whatever betide,
Keep truth thy companion, and honour thy guide.
If lover or husband be faithful and kind,
For doubting is death to the sensitive mind,
Love's exquisite passion a breath may destroy,
The sower in faith, reapeth harvests of joy.
Love dignifies man -- and, whatever betide,
Keep truth thy companion, and honour thy guide.
If a father -- be firm, yet forgiving, and prove
How the child honours him who rebuketh with love.
If rich, or if poor, or whate'er thou may'st be,
Remember the truthful alone are the free.
Erect in thy manhood, whatever betide,
Keep truth thy companion, and honour thy guide.
Then, though sickness may come, or misfortunes may fall,
There is that in thy bosom surviveth them all,
Truth, honour, love, friendship, no tempests can pale,
They are beacons of light in adversity's gale.
Oh, the manlike is godlike -- no ill shall betide
While truth's thy companion, and honour thy guide.

Friends, Allies and all whom live with Good in their hearts,
I am Artor Talgale, a Squire of Knighthood. This day I wish to
share with you a ballad. A ballad of walking the difficult path, the one
of Good. A ballad to inspire. A ballad to give hope. Simply put, I
will be sharing A Ballad of a Knight.
Full of hardship is the path we all travel,
taking the high road filled with battle.
Though not all battles are fought with blade,
no less decisive must the choices be made.
Evil is selfish and self serving in all that it does,
Our virtues give us more reason than simply because.
That evil seeks to claim truth is a travesty,
we pierce the lie with truth and honesty.
Punishment without thought will leave all ashen,
we temper our justice with great compassion.
Evil's ideals leave hearts with sickly pallor,
we armor our own with the strength of valor.
Evil seeks hateful retribution that is malice,
we shield with justice against a thing so callous.
Evil uses the lives of others fearing for its own,
we sacrifice for others so hope is yet known.
Evil flees and deceives thinking it brings power,
we face forward with courage and honor at any hour.
Evil's followers use blind zeal so they cannot see,
we behold truth as we have no secrets in our spirituality.
Evil believes itself above others with godlike ability,
we accept we are all mortals with great humility.
So though the long war has no end in sight,
we will triumph by doing what is right.
It is my hope that this ballad has inspired at least one person.
Austinian bless.
Artor Talgale,
Squire of Fyahy'll
Order of Knighthood
