The Shield of Tesalon Gareth

Said to have been passed down from leader of the Shield to the next for many years. It was apparently lost in the first cataclysm. It is reputed to have the magical power to protect the High Clerist (the title then given to the General of the Shield) from any who would not fight him on foot in melee combat. It's existence was discovered by Sir Leumas Circe's research and reading of The Lost Scrolls of Serpantol.

The Silver Sword of the High Warrior

Also found in Sir Leumas' research of The Lost Scrolls of Serpantol was mention of the sword of the High Warrior (General of the Lance). The sword was named "Shining Sanctity" and was gifted to Lord Tesalon Gareth. It was then passed down from each leader of the Lance to the next untill it was lost sometime around the first cataclysm.

A broken sword possibly belonging to Gareth

A hilt of an ancient ornate sword. The symbols of the Shield, Crown and Lance are engraved on it, and the base of the blade before it is broken off reads the letters "Tes". It is unclear if this broken sword is the Silver Sword of the High Warrior, or another weapon which had been Tesalon Gareth's. It was given to Dame Datai Amberillo by Eirsondal the Good to hold while he retrained. Squire Eirsondal claimed it had been in his family a long time, and we are left wondering if he was a descendant of Privus the Good. The Squire never returned or reclaimed the item, which was lost along with all the Dame's personal belongings in the Gods War that destroyed Clan Valor and the Order of Austinians.

The item is mentioned in the Journal of Dame Datai Amberillo.

The Breastplate of the Rose

From Sir Leumas Circe's notes on The Lost Scrolls of Serpantol:

"Legends hold that when Tesalon Gareth completed his quest to form the Knighthood at the spot where the Keep of Knighthood now stands, he knelt on the ground in prayer to the Three patron gods of Knighthood. There on that very glade did a single red Rose grow, and there did Gareth decide to build his Keep when the Knighthood fled from Serpantol. He was commanded to pluck the rose and when he did so it turned to gold, and was later embossed upon a Breastplate. The Breastplate of the Rose was lost sometime after the First Cataclysm and has remained at large since. It is said that it contains the heart of the Knighthood and that he who regains the Plate would bring the Knighthood into a new era of enlightenment."

The Lute of the Shield

A rather young, but beloved artifact, crafted by Dame Datai Amberillo when she was made a "Lute-attendant". It was blue and had the emblem of the Knights of the Shield carved into its rose. It was presented to Sir Amargein Morna when he was made a Shield Officer. The lute was lost in some action Sir Amargein participated in, and was last seen with a kender.

The tale of this instrument is recorded in the Tales of Gareth Scroll, "The Quest for the Holy Lute."

A trio of dirty damaged ancient tapestries

Thought to be the Keep of Serpantol, Tesalon Gareth is thought to have commissioned this. It was found in a quest to the Ruins of Serpantol when Gwynn was Lady Crown.

It is thought that this was the Standard of Serpantol, and when Gareth briefly held the Ruins of Serpantol and erected this banner above the ruins.

"Beaten up and half covered in scortch marks all you can tell is that all three are a depiction of an ancient keep. The initials "T.G." have been woven into the lower left corner."

Sirs Sehvelarious and Mercerion preserved the tapestries until they were hung in our museum where they may be viewed today.

An ancient crumbled letter from Serpantol

Found in Serpantol by Caenarfon Corwen and Dame Datai Amberillo which has come to be regarded as the Serpantol Mystery. This item has been placed in our library.

"And in the days of my youth behold, I came across a beautiful woman whom

worshipped the dark diety Mencius. My lack of wisdom at such an age lead to

my persuit of her, which she demanded I join her in worship of her god,

which shamefully I did. This I have not shared with a soul and remains the

soul burden upon my shoulders.

T. G. "
