Allies of the Mountain and Faithful of Raije,
It is rare that I would call upon you. But this day I swallow my pride and
agree that this Glory cannot be mine nore Thaxanos' alone. The world faces
peril on many levels. I seek able bodied warriors and those willing to aid
in putting down the deceptions of Devion before they come to fruition. This
will be a grand battle and while do not doubt my men at arms and their
abilty to face this threat. I cannot take the risk of this enemy becoming
loose within the realm, such has been ordained by Raije and we must have
Victory or face calamity.
Those of you whom are loyal to Raije. Your god has been slighted, this
cannot stand. Those of you whom are allies to Thaxanos, you have my thanks
for your support in whatever form you can give it.
Thanes, you may forward this on to those you feel it may also concern.
High King Grumf Thislebeard
Monsignor to Raije
The Trick as Told by Sir Taxiss
Though he did not have all the details, Sir Taxiss was able to uncover the meat of what had occurred that fateful eve. Devion, pretending to be Raije, went to the High King and asked him to go to the lower levels of the mountain. There Devion bade the High King to give his life that "Raije's" army of warriors made of stone might come to life. The High King gave his life, as he would being a devout follower of Raije. All the dwarves cried in anguish, 'Long live the High King!' Sir Taxiss was unsure, but it was said that Raije intervened, and brought High King Grumf back to life. However it came to be, certainly the High King was alive again, and royally peeved that he'd been tricked by Devion into unbinding this army for the malicious trickster's use against the dwarves, and possibly the world.

Brother Knights,
Thaxanos is threatened by a vast army of Devion which has been frozen in
time.
The dwarves have ever stood with us when it mattered most. As such, knights
are to remain vigilant and in a state of high alert to come to the aid of
the Mountain.
When the call of the Mountain and its Thanes come, then the Knighthood of
Gareth Keep shall ride by their side as brothers-in-arms, shoulder to
shoulder against the common foe of Evil and Devion's deceit.
Be ready knights, remember your oaths and undo evil. Protect the innocent
from Devion's deceit. We will see our duty done.

Fellow Knight's of Gareth's Keep,
This Day of Thunder, 17th the Month of Nature, the mountain of Thaxanos fell
under attack from an ancient enemy long burried beneath the ground. A call
went out for all allies of the dwarves to assist them. Myself and Captain
Caenarfon Corwen represented the Knighthood of Gareth's Keep, recieving the
gratitude of the High King for our efforts. Our enemies numbered in the
thousands easily, some sort of stocky humanoids in heavy black platemail.
Very aggressive and overwhelmingly stubborn about dying.
In the end, they fell. The Mountain was saved, and few lives were lost in
its defense. Following the battle, the Great Warlord Raije himself did
appear, and through his own act, sealed the tunnel where the monstrosities
came from, burying them in the ground once again.
Pleased by the conflict, we also were honored to bear witness to the
ascension of the High King to High Priest of his faith.

Allies,
You have my most humble thanks for you efforts this eve in aiding Lord Raije
and his servants in battle. Our combat gave the Lord of War the time he
needed to seal this enemy back into its imprisoned state once more.
War is a terrible consequence at the failure of diplomacy. Yet there are
times when chaos and treachery bring it without warning and without cause.
War is also a Holy thing to ones such as I. It is not mearly for and of
itself, enough. There also must always be a reason and purpose behind our
conflicts. If not, then the sacrifice of life is meaningless. And such
would be a horrible sin. You have risked much to stand with us this Night.
A cause for Thaxanos and a cause for Algoron.
You all have my thanks and today Raije's blessings. May he guide you all
and grant you his strength in days to come.
High King Grumf Thislebeard
High Priest to Raije
