(Golden Aura) (White Aura) Corszana Snowdragon is here.

You say (to Thellas) 'You have turned from Evil?'

[51 Human Pri] (AL) Deacon Ecclesiast Corszana Snowdragon of ~((Nadrik))~

Corszana smiles at you.

Corszana looks at Thellas.

Thellas says softly 'I haven't followed the dark path for quite some time, I have studdied the light in secret.'

You say (to Corszana) 'Corwen, of Nadrik. It is a pleasure to meet you.'

Corszana calmly looks between you and Thellas, the brightest of smiles on her face.

You say (to Thellas) 'What has brought about your return to Good?'

Corszana says (to You) 'I am Corszana, also of Nadrik. It's certainly a pleasure.'

Corszana ponders.

Corszana purses her lips and listens quietly.

You say (to Corszana) 'You come in troubled times my daughter.'

Caenarfon puts his arms into the folds of his robes.

Corszana nods.

Thellas says softly 'I was of nadrik originally, but I strayed due to some dark moments in my life, I realize now that I didn't have enough love for myself to keep myself safe from the evil that approached me.'

Thellas frowns.

You say 'Our Lord is in dire peril.'

You say (to Thellas) 'I am glad that you have returned to us. I remember a dishonorable exit from Gareth's Keep.'

Thellas nods at you.

Corszana tenses slightly but nods, not allowing the cheerfulness to fade from her features.

You say (to Thellas) 'Whom do you follow now?'

Thellas says softly (to You) 'I hope to move passed that now, and find my roots again.'

Thellas says softly 'I am looking to find nadirk again, I hope he hears my calls.'

You say (to Thellas) 'I shall pray for Nadrik to guide you, and I shall pray for your sincerity my Son.'

Thellas smiles at you.

Corszana nods.

Corszana says 'As will I.'

Thellas says softly 'My missive explains it much better.'

You say 'I think a good start would be for you to address the Keep.'

Thellas says softly 'I sent out a public notice.'

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[ 94] Thellas: My awakening.

Fri Mar 26 03:23:24 2010

To: Slayers all imm rp

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear members of Greystoke, I am thankfull for the people I met here, but

I have a new task at hand. I used to hunt the unnatural with you, and now I

will leave you, and hope to one day defend your enemies. I know many of you

will hunt me, infact, I request that you do, as I wish to spend time alone

like the creatures we have spent our time fighting. I wish to see what it

is like for them, and to still have compassion for one such as myself, like

I have seen from a silver dragon today. I realized today that I have been

living a life full of hate, burning bridges, and moving from one home to

another like a virus consuming everything in my path. I vow to be

trustworth from this moment forward, and to never again let my gypsy roots

take ahold of me. I wish you all the best of luck with your futures, and I

hope some of you become awakend, just like I have been, to the fact that the

creatures we try to destroy have just as much right to be here as we do.

Thellas Ahalden.

You say 'Where will your future take you my son?'

Thellas says softly 'Please have a look at my missive, it should explain a lot.'

Thellas points to the wall where his notice is posted.

You say 'I see your awakening.'

Thellas smiles at you.

You say 'I see where your path lay, but not that which now lies before you.'

Caenarfon puts his arms into the folds of his robes.

Thellas says softly (to You) 'I will walk alone and be hunted.'

You say 'Ah, to what purpose my son?'

Thellas says softly (to You) 'I wish to experience life as the creatures I tried to destroy do.'

You say 'What will you find in your solitude?'

Thellas says softly (to You) 'I wish to find empathy.'

Thellas smiles.

Corszana brightens up a bit at the word, her blue eyes shining.

Thellas smiles at Corszana.

You say 'That sounds like a noble goal my son.'

You say 'May the Lord bless you upon your endeavours.'

Thellas says softly (to You) 'Thankyou sir. I will try to rebuild my honor.'

Thellas thanks you.

Thellas says softly (to You) 'I wish for the knights to hunt me as well, if they will agree to it.'

You say 'If you were to express regret to the Keep, then that could only enhance your standing my son.'

You shake your head.

You say 'We will not hunt those of Good my son.'

Thellas says softly (to You) 'I will not activly hunt knights, but I wish to feel the experience.'

You say 'But if you ask for a duel, then I'm sure you will be accomodated.'

You say 'Do you know the safe places of the world?'

Thellas says softly 'No, but I intend on learning.'

Thellas says softly 'The silver told me that I would have shelter once I prove my honor.'

Thellas says softly 'For now that is my first goal.'

Corszana folds her hands together, her slender fingers weaving into the clasp.

Thellas keeps glancing back at Corszana to let her know he is still interested in speaking with her.

Corszana says (to You) 'I hope we will get a chance to speak.'

You say (to Corszana) 'What have you come to know of Nadrik?'

Thellas says softly 'I must train a bit while I am able to learn so much.'

Thellas smiles.

You say 'of course my daughter. There are many preparations to be made.'

Corszana says (to You) 'In him, truth is found. In honor there is truth and in truth there is meaning.'

Corszana says (to You) 'I see truth at the roots of so many things that I did not see before, and the honorable path in so many actions I did not realize it dwelled in.'

You say 'I am working on something at present. To discover honour which is not rigid.'

Corszana smiles brightly at you, her eyes lighting up.

Corszana says 'It certainly exists.'

You say 'Historically, we have been bound by the first decisions we make, but feel bound by that path for our honour.'

You say 'But we are mortal beings, not divine, we learn and experience things as we grow which change our minds.'

Corszana nods.

You say 'So in learning and experience, our honour must be free to change as our understanding increases.'

Corszana says 'I follow you completely.'

You smile.

You say 'Also I am looking at the tolerance of others.'

You say 'We of honour have expected all to be bound as tightly as we are to honour.'

Corszana beams at you, 'Rigid honor has its purpose. But those who will not move are liable to get in the way of others. And that's not always a good thing.'

You say 'In the first shard contest, there were those of honor which refused to work together.'

Corszana nods and frowns, 'Such was the topic of my first sermon.'

You say 'We must be tolerant and understand that not all hold honour as dear, but that we must respect and honour their path, as well as our own.'

You say 'May I see your sermon captured somewhere?'

Corszana ponders.

Corszana says 'I suppose I could put it into a missive for you.'

Corszana says 'It won't have quite the same effect though.'

You say 'I quite agree.'

Corszana says 'I could give it again right here and now, I have internalized it.'

You grin.

You say 'Very well my daughter.'

Caenarfon puts his arms into the folds of his robes.

Corszana nods and closes her eyes as she attempts to recall the words. Eventually she opens them again, appearing calm, she speaks.

Corszana says 'Today I want to talk about an issue of importance to the Light'

Corszana clasps her hands together. Her gaze wanders for a moment before returning to you.

Corszana says 'One which, though it should be heard by every member of the Light. Draws its roots from Lord Nadrik's tenets.'

Corszana says 'Tenet 4: Speak and act with courtesy to all you meet, and of all you've met, no matter the circumstances you find yourself in.''

Corszana says 'Even the most despicable tool of Darkness will not cause one of Lord Nadrik's faithful to break from his courteous nature, for we are not to be baited by anyone.'

You nod.

You say 'Good my daughter.'

Corszana pauses for a moment, her blue eyes intensely focused outward as she concentrates on her recall.

Corszana says 'And, Tenet 10: Understand that you may have pride in yourself and your actions, but mind that pride does not ever become arrogance.'

Corszana says 'It is a fine line to walk, and you must be ever conscious of it. Arrogance is a lack of humility, and the humble nature which those of Nadrik's faith embrace.'

Corszana pauses for a moment.

Corszana says '...I have entitled this sermon: The Vices that Separate us from Unity'

Corszana says 'Hopefully by the end of it you will see the vices too, and hopefully you, like me, will try to work through them.'

Corszana says 'Of course, it's always important to remind ourselves of why the Light must be unified, moreso now than ever before.'

Corszana says 'A divided Light will not be able to bring Lord Nadrik home. A divided Light will not be able to bear the weight that has been entrusted to us by the gods themselves.'

Corszana says 'A divided Light will not win this war, it will not be able to stop the overwhelming tide of Darkness which threatens to spill over this world and toss all who oppose it into death or slavery.'

Corszana says 'They will cull the weak, and destroy those that they cannot break. There can be no hope in a world such as that.'

Corszana looks very grave, and though her features and expressions remain kind and warm, she bears a solemn countenance.

Corszana says 'Because of the events that have transpired at this present moment in time, those of Nadrik's fold stand to have more to lose than any others followers of the Light save those of Kadiya. But make no mistake, should we lose Nadrik, all of the Light will suffer.'

Corszana purses her lips and looks down for a moment, as if troubled with an image.

Corszana returns her gaze back to you, a fire in her blue eyes that makes her appear more determined than before.

Corszana says 'We cannot lose Nadrik. And so we must be unified.'

Corszana says 'And yet we fight amongst ourselves. We squabble and bicker, we bring up small details and make them much larger problems than they should be.'

Corszana says 'We let our pride guide our actions and determine our friendships and alliances. We make enemies because we cannot practice the humility that has been requested of us by our Lord Nadrik in his very tenets!'

Corszana leans forward on this point, as if to emphasize its importance.

Corszana says 'This is not some airy ideal made-up by some no-one. "Arrogance is a lack of humility, and the humble nature which those of Nadrik's faith embrace."'

Corszana says 'Have we embraced these things? Truly and fully?'

Corszana closes her eyes as she remembers her words.

Corszana says 'Perhaps some of the best of us have, but not all of us.'

Corszana says 'Furthermore, we cannot allow our enemies get to us. Too often I hear those of the Light bantering about with those of the Darkness. Taunting, jeering, no better than those who reside in Bloodlust or Shadow.'

Corszana says 'Verminasia, Abaddon or Darkonin.'

You say 'Abaddon.'

You start to shiver.

Corszana sighs a bit and opens her eyes once more, her blue gaze soft.

Corszana says 'If I were to take what I heard, and remove the names, I do not think anyone could discern the thugs from the Knights.'

Corszana says 'I would not be able to see the differences between golden auras and red auras.'

Corszana says 'The thieves from the virtuous. Why is this?'

Corszana says 'Why, if we are humble, do we feel the need to respond to the darkness with their own filth?'

You nod.

Corszana says 'They say that the Light is just a veil covering over their truth, that we are no different. They are wrong, and yet... and yet, for all that I have seen, they might as well be right.'

Corszana looks ahead, at an audience larger than the one present. Her blue gaze is intense, but, importantly, lacks incrimination. Instead, she appears to be pleading.

Corszana says 'I fault no one. None of us are perfect. But I am asking you to listen, to see where we have stumbled, and where we must make up for our transgressions.'

You nod.

Corszana says 'Our pride has caused us to abandon brothers and sisters. It has pitted us in war against those who should be allies. We kill friends because we cannot forgive, we cannot be the first to say sorry.'

Corszana says 'It is no different than brothers killing brothers, and sons killing fathers. How many lives must be lost in fruitless fighting when the real enemy grows stronger, more unified?'

Corszana clasps her hands together and grips them tightly.

Corszana says 'When we fight amongst ourselves, among our allies, then we are not unified. We are weak, we are broken and if the Darkness were to strike right now, we would lose utterly.'

Corszana says 'And if we lose, we lose more than just Nadrik. We lose everything.'

Corszana tilts her head and glances to the side, the words returning to her.

Corszana says 'I come to you humbly as a servant of Nadrik. I make no demands or commands. I have no power over you. I am asking, pleading, trying to show you what your Lord has requested of you. It is up to you to make your own choices, but please, make the right one.'

Corszana says 'Let us band together, let us push aside our differences. Let not our pride get in our way. We must forgive, and we must apologize. We must be strong together so that when the Darkness comes, they will crash into a fortified wall of Light.'

Corszana says 'And they will scatter before our strength.'

Corszana clenches one hand into a small fist and nods firmly.

Corszana says 'That is all I have to say. Thank you.'

You say (to Corszana) 'That is very good.'

Corszana pauses for a moment, then nods, satisfied with her recalling of the sermon.

You say 'Shall we discuss further?'

You say 'If you would like some feedback.'

Corszana says 'Many seemed to think so, but little seemed to change.'

Corszana says (to You) 'Certainly.'

You say 'Firstly, the content was very good.'

You say 'You covered the issues well. A little repetition, but sometimes that is good for emphasis.'

Corszana nods quietly.

You say 'Your structure was good, you covered several points, then had a summary at the end.'

You say 'Perhaps a couple more links between the points, but overall it was very good.'

Corszana smiles.

You say 'Lastly, I've been quite strict in calling this ideological struggle Good and Evil.'

You say 'Evil have long called this a struggle of Darkness and Light.'

You say 'As if alignment had nothing to do with it.'

You say 'Whereas it has everything to do with it.'

Corszana says 'It does, though I refer to them as such for the visual.'

You say 'Light and Dark are like Red and Blue.'

You say 'Good and Evil is what really separates us, the ideology.'

Corszana says 'Darkness consumes, it blinds. Its shroud covers secrets, lies, and murder.'

You say 'It is what makes us different.'

You say 'Evil consumes.'

You chuckle.

Corszana says 'The light illuminates, it reveals the truth and combats the darkness. The light breathes light.'

Corszana nods.

You say 'Darkness is, well. Just dark.'

Corszana says 'Evil is a force of destruction, and goodness a force of construction.'

You nod.

You say 'Yes, a much more powerful statement.'

You say 'Evil cannot know honour nor virtue.'

Corszana says (to You) 'Certainly, Darkness does not actually consume, but the visual of its consumption is a vivid one, I think.'

Corszana says 'Especially when contrasted with the Light, which reveals its secrets.'

Corszana says 'I should likely use the terms good and evil more, true, but they do not portray as striking an image for many as the juxtaposition of light and darkness.'

You say 'Yes, the metaphor shows this, but the principle remains good and evil.'

You say 'Light and Dark is an invention of Evil to cast themselves in a better light.'

Corszana nods.

Corszana says 'Perhaps, but I see no virtue in the darkness.'

You say 'See the words of the Priest of Drakkara.'

You say 'You cannot invent virtue for Evil my daughter.'

Corszana nods.

Corszana looks at you.

You say 'We must be very careful with our words, for we will be bound by them.'

Corszana nods.

You say 'Well it has been a pleasure Daughter of Nadrik.'

You say 'I am sure you will go far with content like that.'

Corszana smiles.

Corszana says 'I only hope that I can deliver my lord's will.'

You smile.

You say 'You are well on the way already my daughter.'

Caenarfon puts his arms into the folds of his robes.

You say 'Farewell.'

You salute.

Corszana nods.

Corszana waves.

gpray Upon this day I spoke to Thellas who had turned from You and the Keep of Gareth to a life of Evil. He seeks to return to the fold and regrets his actions. I pray for his sincerity and if that is pure, then Your forgiveness of his actions.

You pray, saying "Upon this day I spoke to Thellas who had turned from You and the Keep of Gareth to a life of Evil. He seeks to return to the fold and regrets his actions. I pray for his sincerity and if that is pure, then Your forgiveness of his actions.".

gpray Upon this day I spoke to Corszana Your Deacon. She is well spoken and recited her first sermon on Honor which was very good. She will serve You well, and has a fine understanding of Your message. I spoke to her of Good and Evil, and the new thoughts on why honor should not be rigid.
