For Serpantol

This is picking up on some RP from a while ago. When the ruins of Serpantol were briefly reclaimed from the yinn scavangers (story is on the website) the last thing was that the Light of Salvation was put in our museum, but we lost our hold on the ruins.

Then some excavations from while we were holding it found a trio of old tapestries of what might be Serpantol Keep. Further rp in this area led us to believe that if the yinn ghosts could be exorcised, then there might be recourse to seek out and recolonize Serpantol.

log begins...

You clan 'Come squire, to Serpantol!'

You say 'Prepare.'

You clan 'We ride to Serpantol to determine the nature of the yinnae ghosts.'

You clan 'And seek to banish them from the ruins of the homes of our kin.'

Pail'dar mounts a beautiful white charger.

You say 'Ready to depart my son?'

Pail'dar nods at you.

You clan 'Page Makarios, fetch my holy symbols and follow me.'

Makarios clans 'What?!'

You clan 'That was, Yes Sir.'

Makarios clans 'There's evil that needs to be puched.. in the face!'

You clan 'Decorum my son.'

Makarios clans 'You're not my father...'

You clan 'Son of the Holy Father.'

You say 'The word is that we require a holy exorcism to remove their presence from here forever.'

You say 'Perhaps then could we recolonize the area.'

You say 'Let us see if they are different.'

A faint trail can be barely seen in the tall grasses and scrub brush

here. To the south, you can see the ruins of an old fortress. To the

north, a strange building in the shape of the giant snake can be seen

You say 'Behold, they exist here sadly. forgotton Ghosts.'

You say 'Left as part of the war that sacked this fortress.'

The stench of the undead begins to upset your stomach.

You say 'Likely to be seeking peace after eons of dark work.'

Pail'dar gives a small cough as his hand moves to cover his nose.

You say (to Pail'dar) 'Together, use your holy symbol.'

The horse begins to buck and looks very afraid.

You say 'Present it boldly and attempt to turn the ghost back to its rest.'

Pail'dar attempts to calm his charger down as she begins to become unsettled.

Caenarfon readies his holy symbol.

A ghastly yinn ghost shudders.

You say (to a ghastly yinn ghost) 'In the name of Austinian and Nadrik, begone to your long-awaited rest!'

Caenarfon thrusts his symbol aggressively and with conviction towards the ghost.

A black flame lights within the transparent form of the yinn ghost and protects it from being dispelled.

You ponder.

You say (to Pail'dar) 'This is a powerful curse indeed.'

You say 'We must determine its source.'

You say 'When this fortress fell, the crushing loss was on Serpantol.'

You ponder.

You say (to a ghastly yinn ghost) 'Speak spirit of the ether. How did you fall in this battle and why do you haunt the ancestral home of Serpantol?'

You say 'What terrible curse bound you to this spot for eternity thus far?'

You say (to Pail'dar) 'We heard it speak before? Or was that the wind?'

Pail'dar says (to You) 'I don't know what it was to be honest sir.'

You say (to a ghastly yinn ghost) 'Speak! Those who laid this curse upon you. Do they still have the power of retribution upon your soul?'

You say (to a ghastly yinn ghost) 'Why have you been called to protect this ruin?'

A ghastly yinn ghost says 'Tressspasssers, leaveeeeee'

You say 'Upon whose domain are we trespassing?'

You say 'This is the land of our forefathers, which your mortal shell invaded many years ago.'

A ghastly yinn ghost says 'This is our territory...we reside here...we haunt the grounds...we curse those whom resisted us here...they have no peace.'

You say 'This land is indeed our own uneasy spirit, taken in violence.'

You say 'But do you not seek peace yourself of this hollow and unilateral purpose?'

You say 'Your place is with your kin, in the realm of the Gods to those who have passed this world, and have travelled to the afterlife.'

A ghastly yinn ghost says 'This is why humans are weak. They seek peace. The yinn people will rise again , and finish what was started.'

You say 'You are caught between divine places.'

You say 'In that case I bring unhappy news to those of dae'Tok.'

A ghastly yinn ghost says 'We will never release this fortress, your quest is hopelessssss'

You say 'There is a new power upon Algoron, who goes by the name of Malachive.'

a ghastly yinn ghost laughs darkly.

You say 'Upon his realization that he was in fact the Son of Necrucifer, a meteor fell from the heavens.'

You say 'And it struck the empire of dae'Tok, destroying it utterly.'

You say 'A refuge remains away from the site, but it is little more than a shanty town.'

You say 'Those who fell, your kin, are departed this world to the next.'

You say 'If you too depart this ether between worlds, you will be with them once more.'

You say 'There is no longer war between Serpantol, and any semblance of dae'Tok.'

You say 'We are no longer enemies to the point that within our house have dwelt three honorable Yinn.'

You say 'One who at present holds the privileged position of our weaponsmaster.'

A ghastly yinn ghost says 'We will never be an ally to you filthy pathetic knights. If there is any fate for us beyond this we hope it is reembodiment to erradicate the remainder of

you.'

You say 'Times have changed wayward spirit.'

You say 'You fell in this honorable battle long ago.'

You say 'While Serpantol spent its last strength defeating those of the Triple Alliance, we were too weak to defend against your advances. '

You say 'You fell here in honor as did many of our kin.'

A ghastly yinn ghost says 'There was nothing honorable about this battle. After we killed the knights here, we rampage the city. None were spared, none made slaves. All were slain like dogs.'

You say 'Respect was shown on both sides, of Serpantol's valiant lost stand, and of dae'Toks' powerful thrust to Althainia.'

You say 'But times have changed, empires, landscapes.'

You say 'Both sides that fought this war are fallen.'

You say 'Should you manage resurrection, there is no battle left for you to advance upon.'

You say 'And none have come to you to return you to life, yet we seek you to find your solace in the next.'

Makarios clans 'I hit him so hard, his ghost felt the power of my roundhouse!'

A ghastly yinn ghost says 'I wonder what your gods would say if they saw you here, now, tring to negotiate with evil.'

You say 'Only your undead spirit is evil, lost soul.'

You say 'As all undead must ultimately be.'

You say 'Those of dae'Tok walked in both light and darkness.'

You say 'And I wonder which you were.'

You ponder.

A ghastly yinn ghost says 'Is that so? Have you not travelled to the church of stars recently? Have you not seen the ghost of your own keeps founder ?'

A ghastly yinn ghost says 'He is certainly undead, go find him, tell him about how evil his undead spirit is.'

You say 'There is little of his remains, certainly not in the shell in that catacomb.'

A ghastly yinn ghost says 'You have the spell, go find him, cast your spell, tell me how evil he is.'

You say 'We bear his tapestries which show the Keep of Serpantol to the north.'

A ghastly yinn ghost says 'We wont budge, not an inch. Not even if Austinia willed it himself. This ground will remain cursed. Try as you will, you will fail.'

You say 'What benefit does it bring to you to have this ground cursed?'

You say 'What if Serpantol was rebuilt - in a city to yinn and human.'

A ghastly yinn ghost says 'An endless hate for your pathetic race.'

You say 'Your eons of hate have gathered and festered.'

A ghastly yinn ghost says 'You are a daft mortal.'

You say 'There is ...'

You say 'If you could see the Algoron of today, you would understand.'

You say 'Will you come hither and see how Algoron has changed since your time?'

You say 'I sense his engagement no longer. Come we have much to report and consider.'

Pail'dar nods at you.
