Cedany of the Ivory Tower

You say 'Shall we ask them if they wish to attend?'

You say 'The Wizardess is present.'

You say 'I rather think I shall.'

You tell Cedany 'Hail Wizardess.'

Datai says 'Well, we could see how she's doing. I reckon she's the only white robe who really ever wanted or asked for mercy.'

You say 'You'd better bless!'

Cedany tells you 'Greetings, High Clerist'

Datai says 'Oh dear!'

You tell Cedany 'I was wondering if we might have a temporary truce, we're having a prayer meeting at present and we could discuss our current terms of Gareth and the Ivory Tower?'

Datai says 'If we like, we could meet at my house. Or we could go to the Church.'

You say 'Is your house... clean?'

Caenarfon looks very doubtful.

Datai says (to You) 'Totally, Father!'

You peer at Datai.

Kuririn says 'I believe the Wizardess is facing mutiny... she may have greater problems'

Kuririn says 'A mutiny pushed by a former red robe'

You say 'Perhaps there is support we could give.'

Kuririn shrugs.

You say 'Who challenges her?'

Datai says 'Mutiny by a former red robe? That'll do great for their faith in good.'

Kuririn says 'boceephus I believe'

Kuririn says 'or that was the talk'

Datai says 'He was renegaded, I thought.'

Datai says 'And that gnome is crazy.'

You say 'She is taking her time in agreeing.'

Cedany tells you 'Very well. Where?'

You say 'Perhaps they are buying wands too kill us before they agree.'

You tell Cedany 'Sister Datai has a house, or we could use Kantilles temple in honor of the meeting.'

Kuririn says 'He was renegaded?'

You tell Cedany 'You may bring your White Mages if they would be interested in discussion.'

You say 'Ah, she is keen.'

Datai says 'Saw him as a renegade the other day.'

Datai says 'Where would she like to meet?'

You say 'I have given her the option of your house or Kantilles temple.'

Ivy linteled walkway leading to a wide verandah

A long walkway surfaced by smooth cobbles winds through an ivy covered granite

lintel. Ivy vines embrace the two imposing pillars in an intricate weave. The

pillars support the massive lintel, each roughly hewn from individual solid blocks

of granite. Jagged veins of dull transluscent quartz trace the pillars in random

patterns.

A short wall, built from hand-hewn sandstone extends from either pillar to the

boundaries of the property. A small brass plate is set into the left pillar.

Two massive muted brass-clad wooden doors lead into the grounds beyond.

The entrance-way welcomes you within, onto a wide path that leads up through

a lush, formal garden to a low wide verandah that frames an elegant villa. Two

elegantly tapered columns bear the weight of the wide verandah. A line of dark green

evergreens hide the grounds east of the villa. A small gate made of graceful wrought

iron is tucked between the trees in the southeast corner of the garden, near the house.

The floor is of rustic slate, dark-gray interlaced with coppery mineral streaks.

The walls are of rough-hewn sandstone blocks. The craftsmanship is simple yet

pure, barely a scrape of mortar is visible, holding the blocks together, precise

is their fit.

The verandah spreads gracefully, running the length of the villa, to the left of

the simple doorway, a simple rectangular table of aged oak graces the verandah,

flanked by chairs.

A small plaque is situated near the door to the street.

[Exits: northwest ]

A simple but sturdy table of aged oak stands in the cool shade of the verandah.

(Golden Aura) (White Aura) Kuririn is here.

(Golden Aura) (White Aura) Datai d'Aggravaine is here.

Cedany says softly 'Knights.'

You salute.

Kuririn tips his head forward slightly in respect to Cedany.

You say 'Will others come Wizardess?'

Cedany says softly 'Not at this time.'

You nod.

Datai says (to Cedany) 'Hullo Wizardess, welcome to Lord Gwaine and my home.'

You say 'We tend to have prayer meetings on this day every week,'

Datai gestures to the table.

Datai says 'Have a seat if yah all would like.'

Datai sits down at an aged oak table and rests.

You say 'And we were really lamenting our continued war with our Brothers and Sisters in Good in the Ivory Tower.'

Cedany says softly (to Datai d'Aggravaine) 'A pleasure to be here.'

Cedany sits down at an aged oak table .

You say 'And really how war with you is not particularly within the remit of protecting Good.'

You say 'And wondered if you had rationalized these thoughts yourself?'

Cedany says softly 'But, it is in line with your destoying evil, yes? As we now have...vampires?'

You say 'I prefer to call them Demons of the Undead, and stealers of living souls.'

Cedany says softly 'Of course I have, it pains me deeply to be at war with both the Knighthood and Justice...'

You say 'Leaving a cheap copy behind of our friends and comrades we once knew.'

You say 'My comrades and I were discussing what the 'right' moral position ought to be, and perhaps what the most pragmatic might be also.'

Caenarfon puts his arms into the folds of his robes.

Cedany says softly 'Including your Generals?'

You say 'Nay, just within the following you see before you in our prayers.'

Cedany nods gently.

Datai says 'We are simply Shield Knights kicking around ideas.'

You pray, saying "Upon this day, we spoke to the Wizardess of the white robes Cedany of the Vampire dilemma of the Conclave for our prayer meeting.".

The gods have received your prayers.

Cedany says softly 'To be completely honest, I have sought my Lord Kantilles' will on this for some time now. Though I have heard nothing.'

Datai says 'It seemed.. strange to have yah all in our prayers, and the desire to see good for yah all, but not to tell yah about these thoughts.'

You say 'They say that when you have heard nothing from above, then the Gods leave the choice to us.'

Cedany smiles gently to Datai.

Datai says 'As our actions probably lately involve punching mages in the face.'

You frown at Datai.

You say (to Datai) 'Delicacy Sister Datai.'

Cedany says softly '...they do. Though the magi have been no better.'

Datai says (to You) 'Well, I missed.. on purpose?'

Datai grins sheepishly.

You say 'I thought we might find some more leeway in the voluntary peace, though we find combat with Ivory Mages joining with Evil to slay us.'

You say 'But we have not asked you here to dishonor you with an argument upon this subject.'

Cedany says softly 'The only reason my magi join with the ebony to fight you at all is because we are commanded to.'

You say 'Rather than to ask why the Ivory Robes are pursuing the policies of complete war when alternatives exist.'

Kuririn says (to Cedany) 'It is not always with the Ebony... but the Horde and Shadow... when it suits them. '

Cedany frowns deeply.

Cedany says softly (to Kuririn) 'I would appreciate a report if this happens again, if you would.'

Kuririn nods at Cedany.

You say 'I have considered this position, and because the Mages of Ivory are good, then they have a stronger moral bond which demands responsibility of action, as well as the protection of good magic.'

You say 'Whereas Evil Mages do not have to worry of the moral weightings for their actions as those of Ivory do?'

Cedany says softly 'As a general rule.'

Kuririn whispers to Datai, "Speaking of my Lord Kantilles, remind me to pressure the Colonel for the temple design."

Datai nods at Kuririn.

Cedany says softly 'As you may or may not know, we are soon to decide on a new Master...'

You ponder.

You say 'What has become of your old one?'

Cedany says softly 'He has stepped down.'

Kuririn ponders.

Cedany says softly 'The vote will likely come between Xaerik and myself.'

Kuririn says 'Quite the choice...'

You say 'An undead demon?'

Datai grimices faintly.

Cedany nods.

You say 'What would you do Sister Wizardess if you were to win?'

Cedany says softly 'There would be many changes, I see little reasoning for most of these wars. They do nothing to protect magic, or further it.'

Kuririn smiles.

Kuririn says 'I know Colonel Snowdragon and myself would long welcome a peace with the Ivory.'

You say 'War often serves no purpose, even for the victor.'

Cedany says softly 'Indeed, I believe I have a relative of your Sir Snowmantle within my ranks as well.'

Cedany nods at you.

Cedany says softly 'I voted against the Vampires being allowed to begin with...'

Datai says 'What does the Wizardess of the Red think on all this? I do not see her in the field much at all, though she is awake.'

You say 'What would Neutral Magic have to gain from allowing Undead Demons to rule them?'

Cedany says softly 'She wakes enough to stay up to date, though if there was another wake enough within the Crimson I believe they would have a new Wizard. '

Cedany says softly 'They are exactly that, Neutral.'

You say 'I really struggle with this, that the undead demons seem to have cast an enchantment on the mages to make them think their friend still existed.'

Datai says 'I suppose in being Neutral, to have their interest yah would have to be sure yah were offering them something more than the promises of a shifty demon.'

Cedany says softly 'Xaerik is powerful on the field, I fear this will have much to do with how the vote may turn out.'

Cedany says softly 'There will be six votes though, perhaps seven if needed.'

You say 'Are those mages of black more numerous also?'

Cedany says softly 'They are, but only the Council votes'

You say 'So the Crimson always holds the balance of power?'

You say 'It is an enviable position.'

You say 'Have you lobbied those of Red?'

Cedany says softly 'The Crimson will tip the scales, yes. The Crimson Vizier is not around much, nor is Bernadette in truth, but I have talked to them, yes.'

You say 'I wonder what those of Evil will offer them for their vote.'

You ponder.

Datai says (to Cedany) 'I'm curious, do the White Robes work much with mages in the various kingdoms?'

Cedany says softly (to Datai d'Aggravaine) 'That is something we are working on establishing more of, yes.'

Cedany says softly 'I do not know, but I will not buy it either. I am of Kantilles, and I will not compromise to gain power.'

You say 'What would be the outcome if a White Wizard and the White Robes refused to fight those of Good?'

Cedany says softly 'There are many that do. I do not go against those of Good on the field unless I am attacked. And only in defense.'

You nod.

You say 'As it ought to be.'

You say 'The Gods of Evil are probably laughing at our war.'

You frown.

You say 'But you are bound by the rules of the Conclave of course.'

Cedany says softly 'I was just mutinied this last week, and I won. There are several changes that are about to come into play...'

Cedany says softly 'One of which may well be that my magi are forbidden from attacking those of Good, should I be able to get it passed.'

You say 'This I see as a fine thing.'

You say 'But if Knights and Ivory mages are good, then why would we need such a directive?'

Kuririn nods.

Datai says 'Well, there is plenty of confusion on the field. Those who arrive late and what not. Compassion, on both good parties, is needed to understand mistakes, deadly ones, will be made.'

Cedany says softly 'Because bloodlust gets the best of many.'

You say 'We must remember who we are.'

You say 'Why a Knight chose to don his armor of virtue.'

You say 'Why a Ivory Mage decided to choose the moral robes with responsibility.'

Cedany says softly 'Another thing you must remember however, is that Kantilles' himself has spoken that His tenets on not aiding evil do not apply to those within the Towers, pertaining to others with the Towers.'

Kuririn nods at Cedany.

Cedany says softly 'My mages need to be reminded of exactly what he said however. This news of them with Shadow and Bloodlust is disturbing.'

Cedany says softly 'After the Master vote...our wars are to be re-evaluated...'

Kuririn says (to Cedany) 'I had believed them assisting Shadow and the Horde had just become policy, which I found disturbing. I will refrain from my attacks on all white robes... unless in defense. I will inform you if I witness the... joining of the two again.'

Cedany says softly (to Kuririn) 'Thank you.'

You say 'And I hope you spread your reason and wisdom to your followers Sister Cedany.'

Kuririn says 'However, I must depart for now.'

You say 'Leading them by such an example has got to be good for them.'

Kuririn salutes.

Kuririn prays for transportation!

Kuririn disappears.

Cedany says softly 'I can only hope.'

Cedany smiles faintly.

Cedany says softly 'The one that challenged me, switched professed religion to do so...'

Cedany says softly 'And what upset when he lost. He was also renegaded last evening, though that was for attacking another mage within our hall and refusing to stop.'

Datai gets Lost Psalms of Kantilles' Faith from a Robe of Many Pockets.

You say 'Like an Oak his faith must have been.'

Cedany says softly 'I was not impressed, nor apparently were my magi.'

Datai rolls her eyes at you and grins.

Datai says 'yah, I'm afraid that poor little gnome is crazy.'

You say 'I hope you continue to enjoy their popular support Sister Cedany.'

Datai gives Lost Psalms of Kantilles' Faith to Cedany.

Cedany says softly 'I hope so. I only seek to serve Him within the Towers as he deserves.'

Datai says (to Cedany) 'This was collected more for my Knights, but maybe yah would like it?'

Cedany smiles.

Cedany says softly (to Datai d'Aggravaine) 'Very much so. Thank you.'

Datai smiles brightly at Cedany.

Datai says (to Cedany) 'Yah are welcome, Wizardess.'

You smile at Cedany.

You say 'Would that we would meet more Ivory Mages like yourself.'

You salute.

Cedany says softly 'I hope to train them in such.'

Datai says 'Its been good having yah here to speak with. It seems we get sequestored away with our wars. And in that more misunderstandings may occur.'

Cedany agrees with Datai.

Datai says (to Cedany) 'If we could get out more, and see yah and yer White Robes in more civilized venues, I reckon it would be good for all.'

Datai grins wryly.

You smile.

Cedany says softly (to Datai d'Aggravaine) 'That sounds like a very good thing indeed.'

Datai says (to Cedany) 'There has been an idea of a festival, kicked around for far too long with little action in my opinion, for our Gods of Good. Have the White Robes been approched in this, to yer knowledge?'

You say 'Is there anything you would ask of us Sister Cedany?'

Cedany says softly 'I have actually been speaking to a young priest in Arkane about such a festival...he is new to the priesthood but doing quite well.'

Datai nods at you and looks to Cedany.

Datai says (to Cedany) 'Oh good.'

Cedany appears to be deep in thought.

Cedany says softly 'At the moment, I think that we should certainly try to have something where my magi and your knights can be in peace in one room, reguardless of our other affiliations we do share several bonds.'

Cedany says softly 'Be it a prayer meeting, or simply something that gets us together.'

You say 'I'm sure if we did, the fellowship of Good could be remembered and rekindled.'

Cedany says softly 'Off of the field.'

Datai says 'We do have a number of Knights who follow Kantilles. I'm sure some sort of religious service or lessons could provide adaquite excuse.'

Datai grins wryly.

Cedany smiles.

Cedany says softly 'Good in general but yes.'

Datai says 'We will have to think on it, and be sure what meetings and so forth for the fellowship of Good remember to include the white robes.'

You say 'Well, it has been a pleasure to host you Sister Cedany.'

Cedany smiles.

Cedany says softly 'It was a pleasure to be here. There is quite the disconnect, being up in my Tower from the forces of Good.'

Cedany says softly 'How if I could talk to Justice without them killing me, hmm?'

You say 'I shall pray that you are successful in your political objective.'

Cedany says softly (to You) 'Thank you.'

You pray, saying "Upon this day, we spoke at length to the White Wizardess Cedany. She seeks to become the Master of the Conclave, and it is in the best interests of Good that she becomes so, rather than the fell undead Demonic vampire of the Black Robes.".

The gods have received your prayers.

Datai says (to Cedany) 'Siccara bless, Wizardess.'

Cedany says softly (to Datai d'Aggravaine) 'And may Kantilles bless you as well.'

Cedany smiles.

Datai says 'Whatever comes, know yah and yer mages are in our prayers.'

Someone says softly (to Datai d'Aggravaine) 'Thank you, very much. It means more than you know.,'

You salute.

Someone says softly 'Should you need anything, or wish to discuss anything else, please, seek me out.'

Someone tips her head forward slightly in respect.
