The Crown Knights of Austinian

The Order of the Crown Knights of Austinian

With our induction arm in the Shield, and our elite arm for the Lance. What for the Crown of Gareth?

"Service, Loyalty, Dedication, Denial."

This is written in the Dragonvale of what the Crown entails upon a crown of gold which symbolises the order which a gold dragon ought to find their warder.

The Crown would be long serving knights who had earned their dues and respect, and understood the inner workings of Knighthood. They are the senior directors and administrators of the direction and policy of Knighthood.

A Crown Knight need not progress through the Lance as the most fearsome warriors of the Lord are not always the most politically inclined, a case in point - San Gohdam. A Crown Knight have never have been considered an elite warrior - just show the service, loyalty and dedication to knighthood over time and be politically and diplomatically inclined.

Role of the Crown

The Order of the Crown is the highest rank in the Knighthood. Knights of the Crown have proved themselves in peace and battle, and are taught the importance of faith and other virtues. Due to the great requisites for becoming a Knight of the Crown, they are the smallest branch of the Knighthood and are rarely seen in battle except in command roles. In battle, the members of this Order are the most formidable.

According to the texts in the Crown Office historically the tasks have been leadership, liaison between the Keep, clans and kingdoms, Council to the Crown, Judiciary of Policy and of course the holder of the rank of High Justice, the highest non-General role in Gareth.

The Crown is a marriage of leadership, diplomacy, politics, intelligence and wisdom together with skill at arms of the Lance and wisdom/virtue of the Shield. Every sincere knight ought to look up to and aspire to the Crown.
