his manuscript was written by Lord Leumas Circe which dates from the Rise of Knighthood. There is more on this within the Crown’s Library under Ethics, Code and the Way of the Paladin which, as the later work, has since taken precedence, but this remains for historical value. Iolius.
The Paladin is not only the holiest of Knights, but also by far the most moral and upstanding of them. For this reason, Paladins and those who aspire to that position are required to hold to a higher standard. Of course, Paladinhood is a birthright, but by holding oneself to these restrictions, those who are truly intended to be paladins, will rise above the rest
1. There will be no plundering of the dead, with the following exceptions ONLY.
2. Paladins are required to attend 1/3 of all weekly sermons held by the High Clerist. Paladin aspirants are required to attend 1/2 of those sermons, as that way they will learn more.
3. Paladins must remain pure and at peace with their god. Therefore, they are required to take weekly confession with the High Clerist. Actions which merit confessing are listed below - Twould not be wise to withhold such information.
*Voluntarily attacking a fellow Knight is of course only permissible in an arranged duel or sparring session.
4. Paladins will not abuse or insult anyone over any possible means of communication.
5. A paladin will display good manners to everyone at all times. A paladin is also expected to behave in a manner befitting a senior member of Knighthood. Fooling around and/or making a nuisance of yourself does not reach the required level of conduct.
