Let not our Light Diminish
An Invitation for Inspiration
For the Knights of Gareth, their Squires and pages new to the Keep:
The Lord Knight extends this invitation,
To take part in writing a book of inspiration.
A collection of poem, prayer and song,
To praise our Gods, and show our faith strong.
A phrase is offered to help you finish,
This simple theme: "Let not our Light diminish"
From all submissions, just one will be named,
The prize - a crafted weapon to be claimed.
For this, the Lord Knight's contest,
Will see one Knight equipped with the best.
Entries are due by thirtieth September,
By the old calendar, please remember.

When the torches go out it will be dark
but the swords of the 'hood will make their mark
when the Sentinel paces the War Room up there
coughing up furballs in the cold night air.
For although some will fall in the glorious 'hood,
keeping evil at bay because we're all good.
gather fallen swords and move to where they were stood.
defined by the principles of our dear Knighthood.
For Gareth Keep here will never fall
while men true of heart stand on that wall
and although the wall is made of a strong firm stone
what is stronger still is a knights spirit and bone
which stands in the way should evil harm good
our light will never diminish because we're in the 'hood.

We seek to find clues for the shards of hope
enough to recover our Lord from the dark moon
Upon His release Devion will be smote
and glory and honor come to Good soon

in hope that something will lead us to
the answer which will His bonds will loose
and bring His wrath to evil anew
