Tournament and Sport

On Dueling

There is to be no dueling or sparring with any of our enemies. We are at war,

not a friendly game of tiddlywinks .. combat is reserved for the honorable

field, not the training exercises of the arena. This applies to all those

who are enemies of the Keep and evil at heart.

Gwaine: Response to the call to the Tourney.

Thu Jan 5 13:32:35 2012

To: Knighthood ( Imm Immortal Immortals )

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Men and women of Gareth's Keep,

The prompt response by many is certainly reassuring for our efforts in the

Tourney this year. I look forward to fighting beside you.

The Pages of the Keep who wish to avail themselves for the Tourney must

complete their Page tasks and earn their squireship. This is the only

requirement set those whom would represent the Keep in the Tourney.

I would like to encourage those whom have not notified Captain de'Troyes of

their availability to do so immediately. Our first match is scarce five

days hence.

If you have any specific lack, be it in weapons or armors, make it clear in

your missive, that we can begin to gather what is needed.

d'Aggravaine, Crown.

Gwaine: Tournament of the Clans.

Wed Aug 11 15:22:10 2010

To: Knighthood ( Imm Immortal Immortals Nazca )

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gareth's,

The announcement for the format for the clan tourney has been made by the

battlemasters:

There shall be three seperate events on each night of the tourney. To field

a full complement, we shall need 9 individual fully trained fighters each

night. In order to represent the Keep, one must be at least of squire rank.

The events each night shall be as follows:

2v2 (Tag)

3v3 (AGL Format)

4v4 (ACFL Format)

Gwaine: Criteria to participate in the AGL.

Fri Jan 7 08:38:28 2011

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gareth's,

Those who seek to participate in the AGL, find here the criteria demanded

before such permission is granted by the Keep.

1. The individual must have progressed after knighting to specialising

either as Knight of the Crown, Knight of the Lance, or Knight of

the Shield Clerists or Guardians.

2. The individual must be of good standing in the Keep, with permission

to participate in the AGL. This permission remains granted so long

as the individual remains in good and active standing with the Keep.

3. The individual must be properly equipped for his guild and show suitable

knowledge of tactics and strategy.

4. The individual must present themselves to an officer of the Shield, to

to explain their reasons for participating in the AGL. The Shield

officer shall submit a brief report on this to the Generals of the Keep.

5. The individual must duel an officer of the Lance, to demonstrate their

ability in single combat. The Lance officer shall submit a brief report

to the Generals of the Keep.

6. Finally, the individual will need meet with the General of the Crown

for final permission. If approved, the individual will be given a

standard bearing the Keep insignia to bear into the arena.

Men and women of Gareth's who fight in the Arena need remember that at all

times, they stand as representatives of this Keep. As such, the highest

standards of decorum and behaviour are demanded.

Those who participate shall also make offering of any sums they earn, a

quarter to the Gray Order, a further quarter to the coffers of Althainia.

If there are further questions on this, do revert to me.

d'Aggravaine, Crown.

Knights who have been granted permission to participate in the AGL:

Sir Rassilon Shiroken

Lord Rithor Thorne

Gwaine: Lanistas and the AGL.

Fri Apr 22 20:42:00 2011

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gareths,

You are doubtlessly better familiar than I with these new developments in

the AGL allowing slavery, and slaves fighting to the death in the AGL.

Till now, there has been no restriction from this Keep on viewing and

betting on the activities in the Arena.

Indeed, given the last discussions with the Del'nichi's, we have come to

accomodate even participation in the AGL by those who have met this Keep's

criteria in securing permission to do so.

Whilst this can be accomodated with those whom choose to undertake these

risks of their own free will, where this is been demanded of those who are

bound by slavery - this Keep absolutely rejects such and demands of each

whom is sworn to this Keep to do the same.

In this, I mean attending Lanista events and betting on the outcome of such.

Think well on our virtues and purpose before you risk your place in this

Keep by supporting such events which are anathema to this Keep's existence.

Guidelines for participating in the ACFL

Thu Apr 28 00:56:34 2011

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Men and women of Gareths,

I have considered the previous guidelines issued for the ACFL

and decided that for the benefit of this Keep and enforcement

thereof, certain amendments are necessary.

1. All the rules and guidelines of the Keep remain in force,

except where amended below for the ACFL, and ACFL only.

2. To be drafted for a team does not mean you suspend your oath

as a knight. Hence, only those who have taken a knights oath

will be given permission to register in the ACFL. If you had

registered in the ACFL before entering the Keep, speak to me

for special dispensation as a non-knighted Keep member to

participate.

3. If you are drafted by an owner who serves evil, you are absolved

from any slur on your honor in breaking that contract, by choosing

not fulfill it. All of Algoron knows of our stance with those of

Evil, any owner that chose to ignore this, then let them deal with

the consequences.

4. If you decide to field for a team owned by evil, be prepared

to accept the disciplinary consequences of the Keep.

5. Our standard regulations do not permit us to enter formation with

those of evil. If a team owner employs those of evil aura

this you cannot control, therefore allowance will be made for this.

Knights will not be censured for fielding in a team that have

team members who are not of the Light or Balance.

6. You are expected to maintain knightly conduct at all times, and

behave in a manner that brings credit to this Keep. Through the ACFL

we shall show them the glory and virtue of the Light, and spark a

change in these groups.

7. Fratenising with our enemies is forbidden. You may attend team

strategy meetings and events as required by your owner, but

mingling socially with our enemies beyond this is not allowed.

8. Participation in the ACFL is being granted to further the cause of

the Light. If you prove yourself unworthy, through your actions

to serve as a true example of the Keep, your privilege to participate

may be revoked as part of your punishment.

If you wish clarification, speak with me.

d'Aggravaine, Crown.

Gwaine: Algoron World Games.

Fri Aug 12 16:16:32 2011

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gareths,

The time is upon us for the Algoron World Games. The Althainian Empire, as

always shall field for it.

This Keep has ever had strong bonds with the Empire. Indeed, many amongst

us have taken shelter in the Empire during our time preparing to enter the

Keep.

It is in this spirit, and for the cause of triumph of one of our staunchest

allies in the Light, that this missive is scribed.

I shall be sponsoring two sets of papers on behalf of House d'Aggravaine,

for two members of the Keep to assist Althainia in the Games effort. Those

of Gareth's who are knighted and in good standing shall be eligible for such

papers.

Those whom seek to aide Althainia, seek a place in the Althainian Team by

offering your service to Emperor Mamoritai. Once the Emperor confirms

acceptance in writing to myself, the necessary paperwork will be done to

ensure your return to the Keep once the games are done.

Knights who have their own funding to return to the Keep may apply directly

to myself or one of the Generals.

Those who have not such shall need await confirmation from the Empire that

such funding will be provided. Kindly secure this confirmation from the

Emperor by missive copied to the Generals of the Keep, so that appropriate

leave may be granted.

d'Aggravaine, Crown.
