| Seeds |

| |
|General Information - Seeds can be purchased from Timor's shop east of |
|Arkane. While in their sold form they are worth little, but with a little |
|care and a greenish thumb you could benefit greatly. |
| |
|Planting - To plant seeds, find any patch of soft earth with decent |
|lighting and simply place the seed on the ground, and then "plant" it. |
|After planting the seed you can stand there and watch it or go about |
|your business and return to collect your harvest afterwards. Druids |
|are able to enhance seeds to produce more efficiently, but chances are |
|if you're reading this book you're not a druid. |

|Normal planting instructions in soft soil, regular water consumption. |
|The lilicin plant takes a while and nurturing to sprout. But the wait is |
|well worth it. Enhancing ones detection, one who consumes the leaves of |
|a lilicin plant will be able to sense the auras of people as well as |
|rough idea of their magical energies. Becareful, after harvesting this |
|plant does not keep well. |

|General Info - Herbs can be gathered about Algoron in forested areas |
|by rangers, druids, or shaman. They can also be purchased, made into |
|teas, or grown. To receive their effects one will have to consume, |
|if you've no room to eat...you will be in a pickle. The good news is |
|if you have room you can eat large quantities of herbs. |

|First the common Herbs: |
| |
|Strange Greenish Herb - A common greenish herb, consumed it provides |
|curative effects against all manner of diseases. |
| |
|Brownish Herb - The common "brownish" herb when consumed will cure |
|immediately poisons and toxins within the body. |
| |
|Yellow Herbs - Commonly known as "Kings Foil" is a general curative |
|herb that lightly heals wounds. |
| |
|Thorn Apple Weed - This weed has a toxin that is a powerful sleeping |
|agent. Useful when applied on arrows |

|The Holy Grove |
| |
|The druids of the holy grove carry an assortment of useful herbs, |
|present day and ancient. |

|blackish herbs - Good for curing blindness |
|orangish herbs - much like Yellow herbs, these cure light wounds |
|purplish herbs - Known to have hormonal effects, dubbed the change |
| sex herb |
|reddish herbs - Raise ones senses to magic |
|grayish herbs - While increasing your force, also cures poison |
|pinkish herbs - Double the poison curing power |
|bluish herbs - A holy herb used for blessing |

|Tropica |
| |
| Mebn Ehlweb - Within the wild elf settlement on Tropica, there is |
|an alcove with an altar. This altar is normally stocked with a |
|sachet of mixed herbs that when consumed have triple action poison |
|curing properities. |
| |
| Brrerhahrr pridelands - North from the Leonine settlement there is |
|a cave of mystics. There they have a collection of strange herbs |
|that cure light wounds. |

| Assorted Herbs and Pastes |
| |
|sickly green paste - Along the Tropica Trails through the crevice in |
|the Crystal Bay you can find an old shaman who sells this paste. |
|It's exact ingredients are a mystery to me, however, consuming this |
|paste removes ailments and curses from the soul with triple acting |
|curse removal. |
| |
|Herbal Tea - This tea is sold by Strick from the Mages Tower through |
|Shadow grove. Absolute poison at a discount price. |

| Roots and Mashes |
| |
|General Information - There are a myriad of roots growing in the |
|forests of Tropica. Each with its own unique properties when |
|consumed and then in combination with other roots can be made into |
|mashes that have additional effects. I will explain how to arrive, |
|how to gather the roots, their effects, and then in a subsection |
|how to combine them to achieve a desired mash. |

|How to Arrive and Gather - |
|The most direct method is to use a nexus to "spirit link". You |
|will find yourself in a room, you'll need to head out through |
|the door south and then leave through the flap to the east. |
|Take another pace east along the path, follow it northeast and then |
|north. You may see a badgerlike creature digging about. |
|Normally the roots grow in clusters of four. Dig up four roots, |
|then continue north, northeast and more two paces north. Dig up |
|four more roots. Now go three more paces to the northeast. Dig |
|four more roots out of the ground. Take the turn northwest and |
|curve again to the northeast two paces for four more roots. |
|Double back southwest two paces, then southeast, and then two |
|paces south. You will find four more roots there. |

|You won't find many more roots at one time than that, so from |
|this point you'll need to find a shaman to make your mashes. |
|Head back northwest, then northeast. Follow the trail back |
|southwest three paces, south, then southeast. You'll continue |
|south, then southwest and then enter the tent to west looking |
|for the shaman. |
| |
|He'll likely be hiding in the form of an angry moose. You will |
|have to use aggressive negotiation tactics (beat him) to make |
|him revert and help you. Handing him roots in the right |
|combinations will produce the mashes desired. |
