Caenarfon Corwen

Introduction

Caenarfon Corwen is a older knight from the early days of Knighthood, joining during the tenature of his mother, Krysten Corwen when she rose to the mantle of Crown leadership at the dawn of history. Spending most of his time as a warrior, he renewed his faith to Nadrik and serves anew as a priest of His cloth.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There has been much misconception over the words of our Captain of the

Crown, Cardinal Bolter Macleod, and the stance of Knighthood.

Firstly, this stance came about as the Master Tailor did not wish to sell

his wares to certain groups. This is his right.

Secondly, he spoke of the Church of Nadrik's enemies who sought the path of

Evil, and those of dishonorable profession. Gareth has always had the same

stance towards evil, and our membership restricted to those professions

deemed honorable. This is nothing new.

Thirdly, he answered the call of genocide which some had been interpreting

his words to mean. It is his personal view that rats and insects and other

non-sentient beings are akin to some members of certain races with evil

tendencies. This is his personal view.

Let us consider how Gareth's stance has changed during these 'revelations'.

Not at all.

We have not sought in invade Darkonin, nor sweep the lands in some

outrageous attempt to remove races in genocide, as the Shinalstin were long

ago. We have continued the wars that Gareth has held for some time in our

mission to protect the good people of Algoron.

If you are confused as towards Knighthood's values, then they are available

as shown by the Loremaster in the library.

Caenarfon: Answers to questions

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Reading "The Oath of Code of the Knighthood of Serpantol" discusses

Serpantol's stance towards different races. This was a time of the Triple

Alliance when some races sought to remove humankind from the face of

Algoron. The excerpt follows:

11. Let our civilisation not suffer nor lament through lack of protection.

The Knighthood of Serpantol is created and has charge of the defence of the

civilisation of good humans of the city of Serpantol, where many years ago

by the grace of Austinian, Ser'phan founded his city. There are many

aggressive races in the world of Ogres and Minotaurs and of goblinkind who

would strive to remove our culture from the face of Algoron. While we

accept that there are other good natured races upon Algoron, and they may

smile kindly on us, we can rely on only ourselves alone in the wilderness

fully. Many of the civilisations who would smile on us are not capable of

giving to us the aid we might require should evil befall us. And let us

acknowledge that this world is not yet fully explored and mapped, so that

other friends and foes of race and kind may yet come to seek in our

destruction or assist us in our Empire. In this light let all good humans

band together in our civilisation to protect it from the strength of outside

forces and let only them join the Knighthood of Serpantol so that the

protection of our people, culture and civilisation might be affected.

This comes from an ancient tome from Serpantol, and is a relic of a bygone

age. It has been many years since Gareth has required a human-centric

defensive mindset, as the threats against Good and Gareth are no longer

racial. The ethos of what Gareth embodies now follows the reins of

ideology. Good. Evil. Austinian leading the Trinity against those of

Necrucifer. Spreading their Evil, black magic, murder, disease and decay,

mischief and vengence and rage amongst the easily tempted and faint-hearted.

As such, there are no longer lines of race and culture which govern our

politics as they had in our barbarian past, there are only the clear

ideological lines of what is good and what is evil. What is right, and what

is wrong.

Caenarfon: A threat to honor

To: all nadrik devion imm religion rp

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To the Hand of Devion,

Since the dawn of time we of Nadrik have been at odds with those of mischief

and foul play. We believe this world to be better for men to be bound by

their word, for finding honor in themselves and other people. To do what we

know to be right by both word and action. To benefit our fellows who carry

the same belief as our own, to bring good and just law, culture and

fellowship to those of Algoron who can see past their own selves and seek

the betterment of their peers as well as themselves.

What would an Althainia under the Hand of Devion bring? Seeking a world

domination that His father would never allow? Necrucifer does not share.

Devion has not the discipline for such things. Should he be successful in

bringing Althainia under his fell boot? Not the same freedoms those of

Althainia currently enjoy. A city of freedom for all would be lost to the

opulant tyranny of a covetous few.

For those who would claim honor, the time has come to take your virtuous

words and turn them to action. Althainia has a need for the finest of

strength, morality, virtue, courage, character. This is what those of honor

who hear this call shall bring, while those of Devion will be left to skulk

and hide in their advantage of surprise.

Those who are of noble belief are ten times the worth those skulkers and

mischievous souls who bring nothing but misery to others. Those of honor

seek to make their fellowship better.

Hail,

In these ever-troubling times I have been impressed upon by the leadership

of nations. It is said that when times are at their darkest it is easiest

to understand how we are more similar than different.

In a bold and decisive stroke of leadership, the courageous Thane of the

Mountain offered peace to their ancient enemy, due to the worsening

conditions which threatened their mutual way of life. An equally visionary

and enlightened leadership of the Speaker of the Forest accepted the

arrangement, and it is left to the members of those two great nations to set

aside differences against common adversity as aligned by their leadership.

Days later, the Crown of Gareth and the Overlord of Greystoke set aside

differences to work together as a secret and sinister army appeared at their

borders. Slayers are not an evil clan, Knighthood is not a clan for

unnaturals. They considered their commonality and agreed in principle to

work together.

During this difficult time of tribulation there has been much honor shown

between nations who have been spilling blood since ancient times. May those

within show the same honor to their leaderships to see this common gathering

which in a new light. Evil threatens the way of life of those not evil, and

the enlightened people of Algoron are showing their quality.

Self-righteous talk comes from bringing glory to yourself rather than

your god. This is a flawed way for any sincere priest to speak of their

religion. The difference is spreading the message of the Lord rather than

listening to the sound of one's own voice.

Nadrik teaches honor, which centers on doing what is right. We look within

our conscience and determine what is best. Once our word is given, that is

our bond. We seek to improve the lot of the world in this land, by

bettering its fellowship. We seek to educate those who wish to see and

understand our way. We believe this to be the best way of aspiring to act

toward.

We seek to expose those false ways of evil who would stand against us, in

particular Devion the False, whose primary purpose is not to help and grow

together, but to deceive and trick those true of heart. He does not seek to

better the world, only to laugh and profit at the expense of others.

But there is one thing we may count upon, and that is that we know His

purpose is to deceive us. Thankfully, the longer the conversation continues

the more difficult it is for the Devionite to maintain lies, whereas truth

remains ever untarnished. To look to the Tenets of Devion makes you wonder

why they were ever made public if a Devionite was to be effective. Never

trust one of Devion, no matter how silver his tongue.

This alliance which will face evil rejects the chaos of Bloodlust and the

submission of Shadow. They stand for respect for their laws and freedom for

their nation.

Caenarfon: The Tenets of Nadrik

Fri Jan 16 16:08:26 2009

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

* Remain loyal to Lord Nadrik no matter what occurs in your life. He

may test you, but will not give more than He expects any one of His

followers to be able to handle. Know always that Lord Nadrik will stand by

you if you remain in good faith to Him.

Keep your faith. One who follows Him puts his life and honor in Nadrik's

hands.

* Speak truth in your every word, no matter what consequences may follow.

Before making an oath, ensure that it is one that you can keep, for breaking

your word is as telling a falsehood, both tarnish your honor.

Speak the truth, even if it leads to your death. Such brings trust and

respect. Believe you, and they will follow you anywhere.

* Do not seek friendship with those of the Darkness, for they are the

damned. Also know, by associating with any who are dishonorable of any

creed or ethos, you are seen to condone their actions, and Lord Nadrik

condones no dishonorable action.

Evil is in ideological conflict with that of good. They are regarded as the

enemy and not to be trusted. There is little sincerity or fellowship to be

found with evil.

* Speak and act with courtesy to all you meet, and of all you've met, no

matter the circumstances you find yourself in. Even the most despicable

tool of Darkness will not cause one of Lord Nadrik's faithful to break from

his courteous nature, for we are not to be baited by anyone.

It is important for those of good nature not to lose their moral high

ground. This starts with the patience to not lose one's temper.

* Work for justice, not vengeance, for vengeance is the path of darkness and

ruin. Justice is unemotional, it is the law, it is above yourself, and

beyond any personal goals that may be had.

Gareth Keep follows the letter of the law, which is absolute. Emotion has

no place in the definition of your actions. It is the means, not the end to

see law through.

* Show loyalty and friendship to others of His faith. Our diversity

strengthens His faith, and allows us to see different facets of worshipping

Him. Unity within His faith is required by the Lord, He frowns on those who

strive against His children.

Tolerance and fellowship will bring like-minded individuals together. You

must understand something properly before it can be condemned.

* Honor and respect yourself completely, only through these acts can you

truly honor and respect others

Know yourself, and be happy with who you are. Once you know yourself you

may know others. To thine own self be true.

* Understand that honor is a way of life, not a cloak that can be worn or

taken off as convenience would dictate. Clever words do not make you

honorable, your daily actions will portray your honor most clearly to

others, thus ensure your every action is one you can be proud of.

We follow the letter of the law, always. Do the right thing. The law will

protect those who do what is right.

* When a goal is set before you, whether by yourself or by another,

persevere with great determination until it is reached. The Lord has little

love for those who cannot see a task through, for it shows a weakness of

character.

Never, ever, ever give up. If giving in is an option you have already

opened the door to failure.

* Understand that you may have pride in yourself and your actions, but mind

that pride does not ever become arrogance. It is a fine line to walk, and

you must be ever conscious of it. Arrogance is a lack of humility, and the

humble nature which those of Nadrik's faith embrace.

Let others define your pride, rather than yourself. Humility is the path

for a knight, arrogance for the braggart.

* Know that greed is unacceptable, whether it be greed of money, greed of

attention, or greed in any other manner. Greed is a lack of humility, and

the humble nature which those of Nadrik's faith embrace.

We do not want things for our own glory, but the Lords. All we require are

the simple tools to work in His ways.

* Never arbitrarily take the life of an innocent, lest it condemn your soul

to the Darkness. All those are innocent who have not embraced evil or

dishonorable ways.

Know who your fight is with. We seek to undo the wickedness of evil who would

seek to do Good harm.

Caenarfon: Gareth's stance on Chaos and Freedom

Wed Feb 11 16:27:30 2009

To: all imm religion nadrik austinian siccara

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is the stance of Gareth towards the principles of Malachive.

Gareth stands for Law, and the right to Self-determination. Malachive

stands for Chaos and Freedom.

Gareth Keep is governed by law. The law protects people from the actions of

others which would cause adverse affects to others. If the law is wrong,

then it needs to be reformed. We believe in the freedoms of the state and

the individual, and the laws required to keep them free. We live in hope

that those will do unto others as they would do unto you, but the law brings

the strength of accountability to those who dwell outside of the law.

In a state of chaos, there is no limit to action that one may take, and not

thought to adverse affect upon others. Society requires law to protect the

freedoms of the individual and those of the Nation. With the absence of law

those of evil, greedy, selfish and power-hungry intent will seek to

subjugate the vulnerable and the weak into submission. This leads to

anarchy, despotism, dictatorship - only the strong shall survive. Complete

freedoms from the consequence of law mean none are free.

So in fact, Chaos and Freedom lie in a state of contradiction - they cannot

co-exist. True freedom can only be maintained under the protective rule of

law.

It may mean that Malachive only means freedom from the Gods, but freedom

means a lot more than that. Gareth will always follow the path of good and

righteousness irrespective of the intent of gods. In this we have the

support of the Father, the Son and the Gods of Good.

Hail,

I must confessed to be confused about the negotiation with this dwarf, and

his willingness to forsake his ill-gotten powers by which responsibility can

only lie with him.

It seems that some are under the impression that we speak to this poor soul,

captured by this demon who is so willing to break his 'curse' if only he

could hope to find a way.

However, from what I understand of vampires I know that the demon has taken

over the shell, and the dwarf is lost to the body which the demon now holds.

So any conversation held with the 'dwarf' is actually with the demon.

Now the demon may speak in sweet and penitent words, but in all reality has

-zero- interest bringing about the end of his existence. Any part of the

demon to attempt to sway us with its wish to 'repent' must only be seen as

using their beguiling cunning to show us the dwarven side of their memories,

where nothing tangible remains.

So I believe this to be a false promise of hope from evil undead, and does

not warrant any leeway to allow this demon to figure out the best way to

purge itself and bring back the poor (responsible) dwarf of whose well-being

it cares so desperately about.

That being said, as far as diplomatic turns go: the best way to not get

Wargar to follow your example is to tell them what to do. Open discussion

as to its nature may be the best path at present, with the tireless

explanation that it is not a dwarf, and that he bought it upon himself.

Caenarfon: The Prophecy of the Knights of Necrucifer

Thu Apr 2 07:01:23 2009

To: all ( Xuerin Imm Religion Necrucifer Nadrik )

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Deacon of Necrucifer wrote to inform us of the prophecy and how

Necrucifer is to take over the world and rule over us.

Shadow seeks genocidal despotic subjugation over Algoron. Destroy any

nation who will not bow to their might and rule over them in a way that

limits their freedom and conforms them to their own will. In this new world

order you will find few freedoms.

As most cultures in the world today hold freedom to be one of the things

most dear it is little wonder that this has not progressed past the Knights

of Necrucifer themselves. The Knights of Necrucifer would have to:

(a) subjugate other through arms and bully others into submission

(b) perform a considerable amount of coercive brainwashing

The prophecy states that Necrucifer will come to Algoron and lead his armies

in military world domination. Shadow will have much to gain were this to

come true. This would require all life on Algoron to swear fealty or have

global war brought upon them, much in the same way that Eclipse was bent on

world domination.

If successful, then Necrucifer would control Algoron, his knights ensuring

that there was "Enlightenment. Unification. The end of anarchy. The end

of chaos. The end of balance." But there is a more nefarious divine

thought to Necrucifer, to use his disciples to bring about the destruction

of Algoron so to destroy the other high Gods and their creations as well as

his own out of evil spite, then cast them away. His evil and twisted nature

lends much support to this betrayal.

For more details on the above on a fuller explanation of flaws in the

precepts of the Shadowknights, seek out the 'Falsehood of Necrucifer' and

heard about it, it is not acceptable.

The prophecy foretells the return of our Master of Darkness. He will once

again walk the lands and his armies will triumph. Together with the Goddess

of Dark Magic and his children, the Master of Darkness will rule the world.

This will be the end of chaos. Finally there will be order, and a leader

strong enough to uphold it.

The question is not if the prophecy will be fulfilled, it is when. The

glorified return of Necrucifer is inevitable. As the time draws near, there

is still time to learn.

I urge you to seek out any Priest of the Dark Master to learn more. If you

As evil in recent written word has spoken would consider themselves to be

more truth and good than the righteous of Nadrik I'll dispel the weak

accusations in a series of missives. There is little point in sharing with

those who would call the White Moon, Black and the Black Moon, White. Or

those who have sought this guidance unasked. We shall leave such petty

bickering to those who enjoy it.

Firstly, we have no policy of genocide. There is no race who is entirely

evil, and thus no cause of mass extermination just yet. We in Knighthood

follow the Rule of Law. If one breaks the law, then they become responsible

for the consequences of living in a just society. Law exists to protect the

freedoms of the individual, and the clan. In the example of Wargar, they

are harbouring a demon. They state they will defend any dwarf which is

attacked. I say this demon counts for no dwarf. The unfortunate creature

is but a shell and memory.

this.

In reality, we encourage those undecided to follow the preferable path of

Good. The choice will always remain to the individual. We do not seek to

rally all to the banner of Austinian or his kin and rule over Algoron. We

believe in our own determination. We consider each is responsible and

understand the consequences of their choice. We of Good and Gareth seek to

protect all those innocent who would bring harm to others. We bring

conscience to those who would hear it, and justice to those who break the

simple articles of good faith.

But the choice remains to the individual, and to the leaderships of clans

The Charge: The simple truth, the one that Gareth and it's loyal subjects

won't bother to mention is that want absolutely the same thing as those of

Shadow. They wish the entire world subject to their beliefs, their faith,

and will use any means necessary to achieve such.

This is leveled by a priest of Dragoth.

So do we want the same things as Shadow? Although the differences have been

explained in great depth in the 'Falsehood of Necrucifer' a short synopsis

can be made here as to what we both stand for.

Shadow wants: To prepare the world for the coming of Necucifer, to lead a

purist human-only group of lawful and evil Necrucifer followers against the

Algoron. They will attempt to subjugate through fear and propoganda, then

all-out war to any who will not follow them. Any who survive and do not

follow will be subjugated in their intended world order.

Knighthood wants: No end game as such. We seek to preserve the freedoms of

individuals and organisations through the rule of law, and hold them to the

consequences of their actions. We exist to protect the innocent from the

harm that evil would bring to it. Should the final battle eventually come,

we stand with the gods of Good to ensure that the world order that Shadow

aspires to does not take place, because that would be against the freedoms

of individual and organisation and would only benefit Necrucifer and his

subjugators and oppressors.

So really, to say that our purposes are the same shows a staggering lack of

understanding, though not uncommon from the priesthood of Evil.

Mencius is filled with emotional rage. We are not Knights who serve law and

Fatale seeks murder and death, without limit. We limit our justice to those

who seek to bring harm to others of innocence and to uphold the Law.

Dragoth spreads his disease and decay. We are concerned about the journey

of the soul, and the mortal shell holds little interest for us past our

passing. Dragothians consider themselves the natural circle of life, but we

do not subscribe to this view. As a son of evil in Necrucifer, we believe

To those who profess an interest,

In one of the most basic and central writings on religion, it states the

following:

"Giants are believed to be the distant offspring of a children who were

parented by the Gods themselves, although many Gods have made it clear that

while that is true, many Giants are born due to their ancestors simply

coming into contact with a Gods blood. A Cloud, Fire or Frost giant can be

born hundreds of generations after contact was made with a God or Goddess."

So for all the wayward, showboating rhetoric of bastards, hypocrisy, sinful

living, whoremongering, not to mention my personal favorite of "wanton acts

of lust with mortal women outside the bounds of marriage", circumstances

exist where a Giant could be given honorable birth caused by the seed of

Nadrik, and indeed any other God.

A reasonable assumption might be made that there were some Gods with a moral

code who would only have such children sired by blood. Others who perhaps

acted without moral law and ultimately more partial to the path without

moral virtue might well choose the self-gratifying path of lust.

All and Sundry,

We've faced our fair share of glaring hypocrisies since the death of Dearly

Departed Kadiya. War in the name of Peace. Genocide in the name of

Justice. Genocide in the name of racial cleansing. Blatant omission of

facts to demonize another group that refused to submit to the will of the

Light. The above have stemmed solely from the Light's earthly forces. They

are mortal and it could be argued that they are imperfect.

As of late we've seen the other side of the coin, that the very Divine

Lights in the Heavens are capable of what can only be termed corrupt

actions. The Father of Light has been caught attempting to deceive and

manipulate the Neutrals into abandoning the aim of their ethos and taking a

substantial side. He has done this with piss poor, unrealistic visions that

many of us saw through immediately, though there have been those whose

strings have been pulled.

And now, even more blatant, I hear tell of a Giant - the bastard offspring

of the "brightest star", Nadrik Himself - Lord of Honor - whose definition

of Honor evidently entails wanton acts of lust with mortal women outside the

bounds of marriage. One wonders if He was kind enough to leave a rose and a

poem next to whatever dumpy little thing He found capable of putting up with

a less than stellar night of making love. One further wonders why it's

dishonorable to steal food necessary for survival or coin for the purchase

of necessities, but it's perfectly within the bounds of honor to abandon a

very pregnant woman and leave her to give birth to bastard offspring.

Doubtless the sheep told the dumpy little thing she was blessed by the

Divine Pearly White Seed of Honor - but one wonders how many rose to help

her through the illegitimate parenting of a Giant offspring.

Once again, questions arise which will be either ignored or given roundabout

non-answers. And still people ask how I can serve the Laughing God.

Of course, let us chalk up Nadrik's bastard son to a simple "confusion" of

parentage.. But in either case, let us say for argument's sake that he is

not Nadrik's child. Claiming to follow the 'Lord of Honor' while being

nothing but a godborn bastard yourself

If is not Nadrik's son, would it make any difference in the entire

theological debate if he were say Austinian, or Kantilles's son?

Regardless, if any of the Gods of 'Light' condone impregnating random mortal

women and leave their bastard children to roam, is it not the same issue?

Clearly any of the God's of Light hold themselves to a 'Higher Standard'

than those of the Darkness, surely they should be above such things as

mortal lust.

Anyway, to reiterate, as you say he may simply be confused about his

heritage.. Or may have chosen to forsake his father and worship Nadrik,

clearly some resentment must have taken place.

Either way his existance alone proves the fact that even the 'Oh so

wonderful Gods of Light' are not above the lowliest of mortals giving

patronage in a brothel.

All and Sundry,

As I said, a non-answer. Saying Lord Nadrik is incapable of dishonor

doesn't prove He hasn't committed a dishonorable act. Unless Nadrik took an

impregnated woman as His bride, he all but abandoned her to raise a child as

her own and all but abandoned that child.

Furthermore, does it matter if the child was sired two days ago or two

milleniua ago? The point is that at some point Nadrik came, imparted unto a

woman His divine seed and then left her to return to His starry abode. In

the meantime he has struck down some for "sinful living" and no doubt given

commands on what is and is not acceptable.

We are left with two choices, either Nadrik is a hypocrite and an errant

father or He is allowing someone to bear His name as sire. He is either a

whoremonger or a weakling.

Cardinal,

Well now we're getting somewhere. I wasn't aware that all it took for a

sexual relationship between a Nadrikan and another to be honorable was the

presence of an oath, or the absence of an oath. Would it be honorable then

for Lord Nadrik to have impregnated a sleeping woman, as she couldn't say no

and there would be no need? Would it be honorable for Lord Nadrik to have

paid someone such as Traelana in the Captain's Booty for a good time? After

all, an oath of "I will pay you x amount for y services" is certainly every

bit as good as any other oath, if not more so since there is tangible

exchange.

In response to your other point, you ask for proof yet provide none that

Nadrik is incapable of dishonorable acts. All we have as proof in that

regard is your word. Thus, once again we find you acting as you claim we

and we alone act. I've yet to state that the possibilities are truths, I've

only raised suppositions. It was your job to tell us under what

I read a good number of words within your missive, but the primary

conclusion I arrived at was that Nadrik may very well still be a virgin, all

in the name of moral virtue of course. That aside, writings are well and

good, but until I witness such a thing as a woman getting impregnated by

mere contact with "Gods blood" I'll still have my doubts. That rather reads

like a line of garbage someone feeds their children about storks until such

a time as the children are ready to hear about the birds and bees. This

furthermore leads me to wonder why the morally virtuous always couch

sexuality behind the veils of animal names.

To: Aenarion Damerus Gwaine Bolter Nadrik ( Immortal Religion )

Sons of Nadrik,

Some things we ought to consider.

1) The Avatar has bade us to put honor before all else. Every way which we

live our lives ought be aspiration to embody within ourselves and display to

others. An ideal that followers will aspire to.

2) The Avatar has bade us to proclaim the same message of honor to all,

regardless of the style. We all have our own styles to follow the path of

honor, but it is the overall message which must remain consistent.

We have many voices in His Church, each with their own styles. It is

established that Cardinal Bolter and Colonel Aenarion follow the ideal of

Nadrik being a warrior God, who does not tolerate nonsense. Who uphold

honor at any cost. This is a view consistent with our conservative and

militant history founded in Serpantol. However this approach does not lend

itself well to political diplomacy, and the winning over of the masses to

what ought to be a righteous cause.

Let us all proceed together, not to be divisive, but to understand how all

of us use our styles to better understand Nadrik. Where a situation where

diplomacy and consideration be given to those who consider it their

strength, and when His action and justice is required, let those with such

rhetoric speak. Above all it is important that we who are sincere treat

each other with respect and honor. Remember we are a family of individuals

in service to the Lord, rather than copies of the same voice progressing a

stale message.

Hail,

Gareth too believes in Unity of the Light, and the progression of the

Greater Good. Unity comes easier to those who are pure of heart, and

consider others first, rather than themselves. Gareth has long struggled

with the tactics of the Wrath, as they do not hold the morality and virtue

of Gareth Keep. However the Wrath is not answerable to Gareth and we do not

seek to impose our values upon them or others. We only seek to encourage

towards good and morality and virtue are important together then let them

act according to their will for they have their own judgements to make

according to their own code.

The Wrath, now moreso than ever, exhibit the hard power for the advancement

of good. Gareth seeks to temper with the virtue and moral soft power of the

Shield and the hard power of the Lance. Many Lancers will share the

opinions of the Wrath.

Moving together towards the goals of good are common to all. Bickering

cheapens our cause. There are many ways to work together to advance the

Fri Jun 26 06:44:21 2009

To: All Devion Immortal RP Religion Nadrik

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I do not claim to understand all, but the Priest of Devion asks why

Nadrik did not go in place of Kadiya on the initial assassination attempt of

Malachive.

As history recorded to all libraries by the Balanx tells us, the path chosen

to resolve the mistrust dilemma, was bindlingly decreed by the Fathers of

Good, Neutrality and Evil.

Kwainin to His credit chose Raije. Austinian in good faith chose Devion as

the least-bad-option and least dangerous to the mortals of Algoron. Most

likely he looks upon His choice with regret. Necrucifer chose Kadiya. Not

only was she the least suitable for the mission, Necrucifer performed this

choice placing more importance of politically irking Austinian than aiding

the Gods in their mission, and reducing chance of success.

Nadrik had no recourse to intervene, it was ordained by the Three.

Certainly if Necrucifer had sent Him instead of Kadiya, we may not be in the

position we remain in today.

The last point of untruth lies with Devion passing off his premeditated

murder as an act of kindness. Devion stood idly by and performed no action

while he allowed the Goddess of Peace to engage the Abhorrent. She was

hurt, but there is no record of her being beyond repair. As to Devion's

complicity, after he broke her neck he grinned and proclaimed his pride at

starting the biggest war ever.

No, I do not believe that anyone who claimed a mercy killing could grin,

then be proud of the fact that he'd started a war.

To: All Devion Immortal RP Religion

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Let's have an example of both used together:

Both sides of the fence, as well as the fence itself, by now has heard

about the big bad Devion killing poor, sweet Kadiya. The question, my

young but perfectly capable friends, is why was Kadiya even there in the

first place? We've all heard stories about the brave, glorious Nadrik.

Surely He was in a better position to hunt Malachive with Devion and Raije.

This was clearly a joint venture by all three sides, and He lets a Goddess

that is revolted by violence go? A bit silly if I say so myself.

So there's the question. Now for my answer, which may not be your answer,

but part of life is seeing seeing what answers you like and don't like. My

answer would be that Nadrik commands His people in Gareth and the like not

to be with the dishonorable. By the rules of Honor that would mean he can't

either. Devion is decidedly dishonorable. Rather than being reasonable,

saying "I love my sister and do not wish her to be put in harm's way" and

acting as a hunter of Malachive, He instead allowed His non-combative sister

go in His stead while He sat around telling more people what to do. This

tells us a few things. 1) Honor gets the innocent killed. One need only

hear Bolter talk about killing -every last- evil person, which apparently is

anyone that doesn't do exactly what he thinks, to recognize this as true.

2) The sensical person breaks rules when they need to be broken. 3) Honor

isn't reasonable nor does it allow for reason to intrude upon its self-

important self-buggery.

(For added fun - ask mom and dad what buggery means and learn another fact,

adults lie. Everyone lies. You can too.)

Another question from the same story. Was what Devion did really even bad?

We are told She was beaten quite brutally by an Abhorrant. It's quite

possible she could have been irrevocably disfigured and perhaps even

permanently disabled. How many of you have had a sick pet? When it's too

sick to heal, don't you sometimes have to put it down, even though it

breaks your heart? Isn't it within the realm of possibility Devion did the

same thing to a Goddess Her Brother allowed in harm's way, as an act of,

dare I say, mercy?

Just some thinking points. And tell me it's not a little fun imagining

the stories that flow from the first question.

I think I've taken up enough of your times for now, though. Remember:

Question. Imagine. Never accept. And by Devion, have a little fun.

And if any of those questions happen to be for me, I'm often around.

1. When Knighthood warred Eclipse, it was not in the name of Justice,

rather to put an end to Eclipse's ambition to conquor the world and submit

all free peoples to their will. Knighthood does not seek to bend all to

their will or seek to take the freedom of others.

2. We of Nadrik's fold do not call for Justice because our Lord needs aid.

We will rush to the aid of our Lord because we hold a profound respect for

His way of Honor and virtue, and He is our champion of virtuous

righteousness.

3. I cannot speak for Nadrik, but all which He has taught us stems not from

the heated emotional response of vengeance. Nadrik teaches an honorable

interpretation. The means being more important than the ends. It is

natural to show anger, but discipline and consideration of good and law is

the steady hand that guides us. We carry out the will of the Lord through

His deeds, rather then the emotive will of the rage of Mencius.

Greetings Algoron,

I spoke to a man the other day over Justice and Revenge and I wished to

share the message that came from it. In the current times of turmoil

Justice is a word that is often thrown around to justify many means. I am

here to say to the world that Justice is just an illusion used by the

current leaders of light to justify their means. When Knighthood fought

Eclipse back in the day, justice was called for by the Knights, and now when

Nadrik needs aid, the light calls for Justice. However I ask all to see the

truth. When Nadrik went after Devion it is said by the light that it was

Justice, but yet was it not Vengeance that was within Nadrik's heart? I do

not speak for a God but yet it is common knowledge that Nadrik was angered

by the brutal slaying of Kadiya. I am not saying that Light should not

fight for its beliefs, but yet I do ask that it is seen as it really is,

Revenge.

A rose by any other name is still a rose. Revenge by any other name is

still revenge. Justice by another name, is revenge.

Justice is an illusion.

Algoron,

A non-Talienite has imparted the word of Taliena to you. Or not. It seems

more like not, since all we were fed was the usual spoonful of sugar-coated

drivel we've been reading since... Well... Gwendalen decided she was the

voice of the Light.

Neutrals - you've already had the Father of Light attempting to push you

their way with visions about "dark forces amassing against you" and how if

you "don't side with the light" both will die. To my knowledge no one but

perhaps the most fanatical of Darkness has ever called for the death of

Neutrality. What does Darkness stand to gain by destroying Nature? What

does Darkness stand to gain by destroying War? I assure you, even if

Darkness reigns supreme, there will still be war and there will still be a

planet we live upon. What would be the point of domination if there was

nothing dominated?

Now, had Gwendalen been about as long as I or his majesty King Dialook, she

would know all too well the Light's quite overt stance on Neutrality.

Mladen put it quite succinctly at a service to Gwendalen's Lord of all

places. Some of the Light may recall this particular service as well. I

believe Sirro was there and in agreement that such concepts stated were

terrifying. We were told in no uncertain terms that -all- who stand in the

way of the Father of Light's dominion would be incinerated in Holy Flames.

This is not a new concept, or at least it shouldn't be. Bolter rather

overtly stated these same principles. As the more astute of you will note,

both belonged to Gareth Keep. This would imply that either Gareth is wrong,

the Cardinal of Nadrik which Nadrik Himself appointed to such a position is

wrong, or that perhaps someone is being deceived by a non-Devionite.

Sadly, Gwendalen missed her Lord's service where this was all panned out in

no uncertain terms. Or perhaps she was there and didn't yet have her sense

of self-important leadership. I'm afraid I wasn't paying attention to

peripherals at the time.

Suffice to say, if Darkness is a threat, the Light is every bit as much of a

threat to those of Neutrality. Tell me, who will be unrighteous should

Darkness ever fall? Who will be the new sources of ostracization and

eventual elimination? It doesn't take a master Logician to come to the

necessary conclusions to those questions. Already the Light would ask you

to breach the word of your Gods, who do not care about this matter so far as

we know and who are likely more concerned with elimination of an entirely

other threat, one which already took one of your Goddesses.

Don't be tools. It's unbecoming for servants of Kwainin, Zandreya, Sebatis,

Cliath and certainly Raije. Be good little boys and girls and think rather

than following the route of the sheep going to the loudest shepherd. And do

note which side is telling you what to do and which is not when choosing

whether to compromise your beliefs or not. I personally will be serving

Devion until the end. I would be a fool to expect anyone to do any

differently with their Lord or Lady.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hail Knights and Althainians,

This missive is in response to some missives which have been recently strewn

about with loose tongue but held little truth. Apologies for the length,

but there was an awful lot to clear up.

I realise that the Verminasian Public Relations Office mobilizes a small

army of publicists every time a 'struggle between Good and Evil' arises.

They seek to quickly turn it into a tale of difference between 'Light and

Dark', and claim that moral high ground for themselves under a vague heading

of 'Darkness'. Since the dawn of Algoron there have been apologists for

Evil, those who would shroud themselves behind this veil under the guise of

morals, virtue and honor.

To do so is wrong. This is an issue of ideology between Good and Evil. We

may as well call ourselves 'Red and Blue' and start arguing which is better.

Good versus Evil is best characterised by the children of the prime Gods

themselves. Honor, healing, good magic, love and happiness and peace versus

murder, disease and decay, mischief and vengeance and rage.

The Morality of Evil. So Evil is claiming morality in the same breath that

it seeks to leave those who cannot pull their weight. In coming to this

conclusion, you have learned that efficiency and morality are not the same

thing. Good holds the ideal of morality over the any guide or

organizational efficiency, as it is more important to do something for the

right reason than to drop all morals and do what is expedient as Evil does.

Living up to an ideal. Good aspires to the moral perfection of our Gods,

but being mortal we cannot hope to hold that ideal. To suggest that Good

needs to work harder, or cannot attain perfection misses the point. It is

the aspiration to live a moral life because it is the right reason for doing

so. Good holds their ideals over themselves and will do what is good for

society, the means justify the ends. Evil will put themselves first with

their ideals coming a poor second, the ends justify the means.

Morality limiting your potential. Virtue has nothing to do with popularity,

it is about doing what is right - the means are more important than the

ends. Being a virtuous soul will not limit you, unless you wish to become a

master of deceit, a murderous killer or sultan of stealing.

Working together in unity, collaboration and co-operation, Evil has set

aside their selfish desires to work for the collective. It sounds awfully

like the principles of Good, rather than the traditional self-centered Evil

which we have come to know and love, so for this I applaud Evil for their

joining of our path.

May I direct anyone with a further interest in the differences between Good

and Evil and the part that the Gods play in it to consult two works in

Gareth's Library below. These ought to assist in removing Evil's deceit.

I look forward to further works which show how a moral Evil tells truth,

while a deceitful Good lies.

Nyxt: The Fundamental Lie of the Light

Thu Mar 4 13:51:53 2010

To: all Drakkara ( rp imm religion )

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Fundamental Lie of the Light

The Light is fundamentally flawed.

It is an ivory tower built on a hill of eggshells because they matched the

color of the stone.

The lie of the Light is that it is somehow superior to the Darkness because

of its "values." These "values," however, are either 1) shown equal use by

the Darkness or 2) are such that if the Light actually followed them they

would quickly be swallowed up by the Darkness.

The problem is that the values of the Light not already used by the Darkness

are a hindrance, not a benefit, and since the Light and Darkness have

essentially the same mortal material with which to work*, the Light can not

afford to sacrifice any benefit without being consumed.

Let us take two human men as examples, since they are a morally pliable

race. Let us suppose that they are both highly intelligent with a fairly

high level of knowledge. Let us suppose further that one of them follows

the Light and the other follows the Darkness.

Take a moral question: the protection of the weak.

The follower of darkness will, contrary to the expectations of the ignorant,

protect the weak. This is because even the weak, under certain

circumstances, have value. There are many tasks suitable for the weak

amongst us, and it would be a waste of talent to have the strong perform

them. In exchange for the protection given them, the weak are expected to

work. If protecting them costs more than they are worth, then they will not

be protected.

And what would a follower of the Light do? They must either waste effort

better spent elsewhere caring for the weak or they must do what the Darkness

does and only provide what is appropriate. If they waste time, energy, and

resources on the weak, they fall behind the Darkness and will eventually

become consumed by it as the Light itself becomes withered carrying too many

parasites. On the other hand, if they act as the Darkness does, they fail

their ideals.

The only other option open to the Light, therefore, is to work doubly hard

to become stronger than the Darkness so that it can bear the weight of the

weak and still fight back the Night. But, as time and the battles for the

shards have demonstrated, this is not possible; a mortal is only as strong

as its body and spirit will allow. If it were possible to work doubly hard,

then the Darkness would merely do that as well and would succeed, not

encumbered by the weak.

Some may claim that the greatness of the Light is that they strive to meet

their ideals, even if they fail in practice. The problem is that their

ideals are completely unreachable. Those of the Light can NEVER live their

lives in keeping with their espoused morality, for doing so would follow

soon after with their death at the hands of the Darkness.

And so I call upon those of the Light to stop living a lie. Your faith is

built on an illusion that Devion himself would be proud of (if he is not, in

fact, responsible).

Either realize that you are no different than the Darkness and join us (for

why would you stay on the losing side if there is no difference between the

two?) .

Or recognize that you will perish at the hands of the Darkness, sucked dry

of your vitality by the weak.

And before martyrdom excites you too much, recognize that when the Darkness

triumphs the Light will be extinguished entirely. Those who refuse to

conform will be slaughtered, and those who do conform will hardly look back

to remember those who were too stubborn to live.

For Her Glory,

There have been several of late who have awoken from the illusion that is

the light and the trap that is the "balance."

Some may be confused by these choices, but there is a simple explanation:

Darkness is the only morality and the true source of power.

The Light espouses virtue, but the light's "virtue" is nothing more than

peer judgment. This judgment inhibits proper action by forcing its

followers to do what is "popular" instead of what is correct.

In the light you are exposed to all and adapt your behavior to suit those

around you. In the Darkness, you are left alone with yourself and your god.

Your actions need not be popular, only proper.

And what is proper? That which focuses on improvement over mediocrity,

power over weakness. The Darkness is for perfection of self, not equality.

When you realize that you cannot achieve your full potential burdened by the

weak,

When you realize that the light and balance seek only to limit you, not to

set you free,

When you realize that true morality is for yourself and your god alone, not

to impress those about you,

Then you are ready to embrace the Darkness.

Come bask in the glory of the night.

parasitic, when there is nothing to decay, then it cannot exist alone.

Dragoth's Disease and Decay are Evil in ideology, where the intent is of

wickedness towards others. Gareth Keep has long maintained that when the

ideology of Evil is applied to Disease and Decay, then this amounts to

willful imposition of sickness and plague to the Good and healthy by the

The Cardinal's proud statements that Dragoth's sicknesses and plagues

The clergy of Dragoth sought to steal Zandreya's thunder by calling the

equating cruel murder with death. What follows is a review of this new

primer from Good.

Death is certain. But the manner how we enter it is not. Those of Fatale

would seek to bring death through murder, rather that allowing life to

fulfil its potential.

Life is fleeting. Fatale makes the point that we are not here long, so

attempts to justify the brutal taking of a life for whatever cruel pleasure

they may wish to concoct because life is finite.

Death can come swiftly. Fatale seeks to blur the moral lines of death and

murder. Death comes to us all, but only some of those are foully murdered

by those with evil intent.

That many unexpected things may kill. Too much of anything may cause harm,

accidents can happen but this is no excuse for cold-blooded murder.

A curious inclusion of Taliena's love, which those of evil can never know

it's full extent, because of lack of trust and honesty and other virtue

which is love's amplification.

To: All Charok Lanival Beydalar Shadow

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I, Saulron of Arkane, do hereby state publicly that I am a devout servant

of Necrucifer. I have finally seen the light of His ways, and I have seen

the truth about Nadrik. Honor rests with those who use it. And Necrucifer

displays such honor through everything he does. Many of you probably will

have come to this realization, but I intend to join Storm Keep when I am

seen ready by the Dark Lord, and Necrucifer himself. Any service I can

provide to the true Master of this world is an honor and a privelege, one of

which I would be a fool to not strive for.

To the Master Black Dragon, Charok, I apologize for all the talk and games I

spoke of with others. It was foolish to even -claim- such lies and

indecency when I spoke about taking arms against you. I saw the error in my

ways, and I have come to terms with such behaviour. I will -never- take

arms against dragons of Necrucifer's family.

Furthermore, this missive was penned more as a lesson of my own wrongdoing,

and to claim what I truly am. Necrucifer will make his return upon this

world, and I intend to serve him faithfully no matter what.

Sincerely,

Saulron

We Knights of Shadow do not serve honor. We serve Necrucifer. We serve

to bring His Prophecy to Algoron. We have never claimed otherwise. Anyone

who truly knows anything of the Prophecy knows it is worth doing anything

for. If anyone wishes to learn more of His Prophecy and what its impending

arrival means for you and Algoron, please feel free to contact me.

It is Gareth who fetishizes honor, who hold it to be the purpose of their

Sun Oct 10 12:07:26 2010

To: Beydalar All ( Imm Religion Nadrik )

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Those who are interested in Necrucifer's prophecy, and what it would mean

should it come to pass, shouldn't have to seek you out, Warder. A preview

of such can easily be seen in what Necrucifer did to Arkane, when Octaivius

was meandering between his faiths.

Those who oppose Necrucifer, are exposed to his wrath. And even then, if

his wrath is invoked, it will spill over to cause consequence to those

around the so called heretics from Necrucifer's point of view.

From his actions in the past, its pretty clear that any who would oppose

Necrucifer, would be targeted for elimination. I believe if you wanted any

sort of confirmation on such, you could ask most Arkanians who bore witness

to his wrath-filled attack.

Your so-called higher purpose is simply the destruction of all who oppose

Necrucifer. This pertains in most cases to the Light, for now, as the Light

moves against the Darkness to stop its progression. Though I think we both

know, Warder, that Necrucifer will not stop there.

Necrucifer has proven, time and time again, that he will use anyone, or

anything, to gain an advantage. The consequences of such do not bother him,

so long as they do not affect his goal of dominion. This is seen in the

birth and introduction of Malachive, which I do not need to begin to explain

what havoc and harm he has done to Algoron. It is also displayed in using

an attack against Malachive, to slay a Goddess of the Light. I might also

point out, that Necrucifer's "Unity" stretches only so far as to encompass

those he can use to further his goals. When you fall outside of that range,

you are left at the wayside.

My case and point for this, will be Devion. Yes, Necrucifer returned a hand

to Devion after Nadrik removed it. This was only done, after Devion slew a

Goddess of the Light. Necrucifer could have done this all along, yet chose

only to do it, when Devion had betrayed Algoron as a whole.

That is not a nurtured or caring reaction from a Father. That is a reward,

for doing Necrucifer's will. Necrucifer's unity is synonymous with

"Servitude to Necrucifer" When I question if Necrucifer will even care for

the other worshippers of the darkness, or even his family, if he should

truly seize his own "power" or dominion. After all, Malachive was first

banned from the dark moon after refusing his Father's will I do believe.

Just a few interesting points I though I would share on Necrucifer's

prophecy and potential dominion.

As long as we're pointing out certain obvious things, I would like to

state that I find it incredibly amusing that a man who once led a party that

sought to slay an entire kingdom's populace because a single guard was

INCAPACITATED feels the need to speak on matters of mercy and brutality.

Honor and justice are far more the tool of Gareth and their former

wife-and-fiancee-stealing ilk than I believe any could place at the feet of

the Knights of Storm Keep, men and women who live to a certain standard of

behavior through thick and thin, and not just in public.

In my own lengthy and often tension wrought dealings with the Keep I have

yet to see a single man or woman within it break the Code they live by or

their personal honor, which far from being some mindless standard of

behavior instead allows them to accomplish what needs to be accomplished.

As Beydalar pointed out, they serve Necrucifer, not Honor. That they happen

to serve Necrucifer honorably speaks to what they are and how they carry

themselves with a certain measure of distinction those which claim to do the

same but in truth only put on airs in public could never fully grasp.

But then, I believe the good Emperor knows all these things - as well as

knowing how many of the Honor-Thing's pets come to Verminasian women in

private to attempt and sate their appetites. Devion knows he made his

attempts with one or two. That the women of my kingdom turn them down, I

believe, speaks far more highly of the virtues of my people, as well as

their taste.

As to Devion's returned hand, I fail to see the problem in your example,

this coming from Lord Devion's Bishop. He accomplished a task He was

allotted. He was rewarded. If He had failed, the punishment would have

been every bit as dire. This is the way Darkness works. Those that succeed

receive accolades. Those that fail are at best ignored, at worst removed.

This directly relates to the problem raised concerning Octaivius - a man who

the Arkanian Crown had been warned was of flimsy faith - a man who was put

in charge of the entire Church of Arkane - a man who then turned his back

not only on Necrucifer but Algoron itself by turning to the Enemy of All -

Malachive. We as mortals might be inclined to think the action taken by the

Master was an extreme one, and it was, as was the stupidity of the action of

the man leaving His fold while responsible for the entire religious section

of a kingdom. Any that have ever experienced Necrucifer's pleased presence

understands that a symptom of His power is a headache. What could be

expected when He came in a rage other than that some would fall?

In short, the problems raised by the good Emperor, far from reflecting

failings of Darkness, instead reflect virtues of Darkness. We do not hide

behind honor as a guise. We do not use token words as means of achieving

our wants. Instead we work out of an integral faith in our Pantheon and

that which the Dark Family holds as a united desire. This is why when

Devion was given a task, He accomplished it. This is also why when Nadrik

was told not to do something, He ran off like an Insolent Child into a trap

and has placed not only Himself, but His entire Family as well as His and

Their faithful in mortal peril.

Just a few interesting points on a nonsensical world-view given by a servant

of Doomed Failure.

Caenarfon: The Knighthood of Necrucifer

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Knights of Gareth Keep take great comfort that The Shadowknights of

Necrucifer do not pretend to the Virtue of Honor. Shadow had long

maintained the position of honorable evil, as Eclipse did before them.

The work of Shadow's founders is seeped in this dogma. The seminal works of

Shadow refer to, "We act with compassion towards our enemies. We treat them

as we would wish to be treated. We fight with honor. We aid those weaker

than ourselves." The Will and the Way mentions 'honor' no less than ten

times.

You demand Lawful following and yet laws may be broken to secure the return

of Necrucifer. If the purpose is Necrucifers return, why pretend to honor

and virtue when convenient, then throw it all away as it suits your cause?

Because you have learned from Good that virtuous action creates the

inspiration required to maintain your following. Otherwise, what fellowship

is there in Storm Keep? How will Algoron come around to follow your vision?

Shadow has but one purpose, which it will pursue at the expense of everyone

and everything else. The ends is more important than the means.

Knighthood finds more value in the journey, doing what is right will lead to

the right action. The means are more important than the ends.

So it is written in the 'Falsehood of Necrucifer'.

Hail,

My charges against Storm Keep are threefold.

1. Storm Keep has lost the detail of Malcom drak'Martys' Prophecy, and past

doing anything they can do to bring Necrucifer to Algoron, have little

understanding what this might bring, or any idea if Necrucifer will support

the 'Shadow's New World Order'. They gladly risk evil Necrucifer to keep

His word should He return.

Shadow's original purpose is contradictory and flawed. Because Shadow must

do anything to see the Prophecy, Shadow is:

2. Not Lawful - Shay Kayen's original texts describe the creation of a

Lawful order. Shadow cannot claim to be lawful if they can break any law,

lie, cheat, murder and steal to see the Prophecy fulfilled. This

contradicts and makes a mockery of their vaunted "Enlightenment.

Unification. The end of Anarchy. The end of Chaos. The end of balance".

Either you follow the law, or you don't. When you can break any law to see

the Prophecy come to pass, you are not lawful.

3. Not Honorable - Shadow cannot claim to be honorable if they disregard

morality and virtue to see the Prophecy fulfilled. Evil has little use for

the morality which drives honor. To lie, cheat and steal is honor's

antithesis, and allowable under Shadow's code. 'The Will and Way' mentions

'honor' ten times. "It is By His Will and His Way that His Chosen shall

find Honor In Darkness." Shay Kayen's original texts describe the creation

of an Honorable order. "We are Knights of Necrucifer, and thus we are held

to a higher standard than any other. We act with compassion towards our

enemies. We treat them as we would wish to be treated. We fight with

honor. We aid those weaker than ourselves." Warder Beydalar asserts that

"We Knights of Shadow do not serve honor."

Shadow has little idea of the detail of their purpose, and their founding

principles are contradictory and flawed.

Priest,

We find your attempts at propaganda unfortunate. Indeed, you have engaged

in the eternally useless exercise of pick-and-choose. You target specific

phrases or sentences out of context, and you twist them to suit your own

ends. Devion is surely proud. While we lament these words of yours, we

understand that they are a convenient alternative to actually getting off

your ass and doing something about the state of the world. Kudos, then, for

attempting to carve out a niche for yourself in a world in which you are

rapidly becoming irrelevant.

I will nonetheless address your "charges" for sport.

1) This is false. The Prophecy is our most sacred belief. To suggest that

we have somehow "lost the detail" of it is preposterous. I was present when

it was first given to Malcom, and I know exactly what it outlines. Simply

because we will not share it with you, a sworn enemy of ours, does not mean

that it is lost. The leadership of Storm Keep retains the secrets of the

Prophecy, and that is how it shall remain.

2) This too is false. You say, "either you follow the law, or you don't,"

but this is a child-like understanding of law and its complexities. Whose

law, Priest? We do not follow the laws of Gareth, this is indeed true. We

also do not follow the laws of Althainia. We follow our own codes and laws,

and we do not break them. Our laws specifically allow acts that we would

otherwise frown upon and find odious if it can be proven that they advance

the Prophecy. You seem to think this is some empty clause. It is not.

When our codes are broken, the offendor must come before the leadership and

defend the actions as necessary to advance the Prophecy. If the offendor

cannot, he is punished. I simply do not see how any of this is not Lawful.

3) You force upon us your own relationship with the concept of Honor, and

this is folly. We are, indeed, an honorable order. And it is equally true

that we do not "serve" honor, as Beydalar has stated. You, Priest, may

SERVE honor as some religious ideal. We do not. We serve the Prophecy and

Necrucifer. We do, however, require honor from our knights. It is codified

in our laws. This is quite different from serving honor. You see, we view

honor as a means to an end. You view honor as the end itself. We thank you

in advance for recognizing this important distinction in the future.

I long for the days of men like Leumas Circe and his ilk. They were men of

action and not merely of the quill.

To: Knighthood Nazca

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Knights,

Upon reading Lord Lanival's long winded complaints against our High

Clerist's complaints about Shadow Knights, I noted a heartening difference

(well, a number of them really) between our Orders.

The Prophesy they so fervently serve is only truly known to the leadership

of their knighthood. Therefore, if it were to happen one day that the

entirety of their inner circle was on a boat that sank to the bottom on the

sea, their evil order of knights would be in ruins. The fact they do not

trust their rank and file with the details of the core beliefs of their

Order speaks of the paranoia and self hatred they have of one another. With

no guidance, purpose or leadership, they would completely come apart.

Compare this to our own Knighthood, where our lessons and history are kept

in the open on shelves all may reach. Freely given and handed down from one

knight to another. It is even said in our ancient scrolls: "As long as a

single member of the Keep, true to the Ideals and Tenets of the Shield doth

stand, still, even so shall those under Gareth's charge live on, and Hope

shall grow anew. " Should all the officers of the Knighthood meet our ends

in a tragic Underworld boating accident, we have complete faith that the

knights we leave behind would recover and continue with the Knighthood's

mission of Good and the battle against Evil.

Consider this a lesson of a difference between Good and Evil. How it is

that Goodness will overcome and renew in the face of hardship, and why Evil

stumbles and falters. This is why the Knighthood has remained as it has

since the days of Serpantol. The Knights of Eclipse faltered and fell; one

day, so will the Knights of Shadow.

Hail Dark Lord,

I am attacking the prophecy, and Shadow's grip on it. It may be true that

you harbor it within your inner council, but I have my doubts. Should your

own followers not understand what is required of them? What is the point of

keeping such a thing to yourself? Surely in your attempt on world

domination, you need everyone on Algoron to see the logic of joining in your

New World Order, and understand why this will bring them benefit? As you

hide your sacred prophecy it will only seed more doubt about its

authenticity.

Also, as the prophecy is of paramount importance to Shadow. I expect you to

lie about it because it is more important to you that the prophecy be

protected than you speak the truth. Your laws are dishonored and the trust

of the people of Algoron degraded when you comment on the prophecy, as you

are able to act without law or truth to further it. Algoron knows this.

As to your state of lawfulness, I do not expect a lawful order to follow any

laws but their own. You say you do not break these laws. Shadow sanctions

breaking its own laws for the prophecy. Shadow has only one law, to follow

the prophecy. Everything else is secondary, lesser laws. Exceptions which

are permissible to break for the prophecy show Shadow's true respect for

law. It is shed like a serpent's skin when it gets in the way. Achieving

Shadow's prophecy is more important than how Shadow goes about it.

Finally the charge of honor. You state that you consider that the means is more

important than the ends, and that for Gareth the opposite is true. This is

clearly vice versa. The ends (the prophesy achieved) are clearly more

important to Shadow than the means (acting honorably when it suits us).

Shadow cares not how they return Necrucifer to Algoron. Knighthood does

what is honorable and right, and it leads Knighthood to whatever outcome.

We once lost Gareth Keep for staying true to honor over expediency.

The Sunset Dawn states the main reason for the break of Eclipse from

Knighthood was that Gareth was too rigid, and that in Knighthood the means

was more important than the ends. This frustrated San Gohdam to such a

point that he created Eclipse under the auspices of the ends justifying the

means. Law and honor played second fiddle to Eclipse getting what they

wanted. When your founders scoured the libraries of Eclipse, they took this

premise with them for the purposes of ensuring prophecy was paramount over

trifles like honor.

The evil order of Shadowknights insincerely codify good virtues such as

honor into their laws. It is contradictory for evil to look to morality and

virtue in order to do evil. Shadow seeks to cheaply gain a following by the

inspirations that morality and virtue bring, much like Eclipse before them.

You may find within Gareth's library why Gareth truly considers the means to

be more important than the ends.

I invite you to retract your initial statement of Shadow being honorable for

honor's sake so that you may begin anew.

for error, just as your Pages are not either. That is the way of the

You grossly misinterpret the writings of our Order, as it has already been

You speak of honor as if you and your Order are the only one privy to it's

foreign from one another, that we cannot possibly see eye to eye.

You are mistaken.

If you are so concerned about learning His Way, and His Will, and of His

My statement will be brief. We have never mislead or misguided anyone

dictates that a world under one God will see less of the strife that plagues

our world now.

The priest rambles so because he is trying to hide something. He hides from

the fact that the Light has no such plan to make the world a better place.

They are content with things as they are. In fact they revel in the current

state of affairs - it gives them something to feel smug and superior about.

Anyone who truly has an interest in bringing order to this chaotic world

should examine the means by which they are going about it. Will you while

you submit and be strong, giving your everything to make that better world

While the Warder of the Templar claims Shadow does not mislead people,

how would Necrucifer's Algoron affect you? For those who are heartened by

Shadow's claim to be seeking to make the world a better place, first

consider:

Look to what the Gods stand for. Algoron under the lordship of Good,

through love, good magic, honor, peace and healing: or under the lordship of

Evil, through evil magic, murder, deceit, rage and vengence, disease and

decay?

To which world will you put your purpose? Which provides the stability for

order? Which holds the premises of peace? To which will the greater

civilization and prosperity take root? Where would justice and equality

thrive? Where shall the love be greatest to bond to greater unity?

We in Gareth do not strive to force all to turn to our Gods or die. We

believe that each has free will and shall be held responsible and

accountable for their actions. We pray that those that lead immoral,

unethical lives of vice will come to see the error of their ways. It is a

Knight's duty to protect the weak and innocent from those that would bring

them harm. We are not smug or superior about this, our code demands that we

be honest and humble.

Shadow will sacrifice anything to see their Evil done. Storm Keep cares not

for the right action, they are single-minded in their pursuit. Gareth will

do right to arrive at an outcome that they know will be Good, because it was

arrived at for the right reason. To think that honor is purposeless, unless

he uses it when it suits him is not to know honor.

I have heard no response that would contradict my three claims, although I

look forward to discourse with your High Mystic.

Disclaimer: I have not written this to be inflammatory. This is a work of

fiction to prove a point. I am genuinely pleased that some Evil sincerely

lives and breathes the principles of Good. It is a far cry from darker days

when death to the Sons of Malice resulted in losing everything you owned,

and that the word of someone Evil meant nothing. How they consider Good,

noble and moral action part of the remit of Evil I have not come to terms

goodness and honor comes from good and honorable action, rather than the God

A deep crimson blur faded to reveal a family of six red-auraed divine

beings.

"We have a problem." Said Necrucifer, vexed.

"What problem is this Father?" Frowned Fatale.

"Ever since I tried to assassinate Austinian, the followers of Austinian and

Kwainin have been more plentiful and willing to do their Gods bidding.

Meanwhile our followers of Evil are in disarray. They argue, lie, cheat and

kill one another. They don't work together at all." Grumbled Necrucifer.

"We're losing ground in our efforts to make Algoron our own."

The Gods of Evil looked between one another nervously. They knew he was

right.

A maniacal laugh reverberated amongst the divine red aurans, enough to chill

even a divine spine.

"Oh Father. Everyone is just doing it wrong!" Cackled Devion, the Lord of

Deceit.

Necrucifer frowned darkly at his most irreverent Son. "I am listening."

"What you need Father, is a complete rework of your public relations. Why

are the followers of Good doing well? They're working together! They're

helping one another. They're following of morality and virtue, you know all

that stuff we hate, and it's inspiring those foolish mortals to jump on the

bandwagon of Good." Laughed Devion pausing before continuing in a whisper.

"But what if we stole their ideas? What if we took all the things that are

making Good thrive? Then our followers would stop killing each other and

start working together!"

The group of divine red-aurans looked at each other, looking completely

unconvinced.

He flounced up to Dragoth, picking up a fallen diseased finger, and gave it

to Drakkara for reattachment.

"You who are the Lord of Disease and Decay. Have you looked in a mirror

recently? You're a public relations disaster. You want to marry evil to

'disease and decay' for all living things. Not exactly building up a

sustainable following are we! Not a crowd-pleaser at all. I tell you what,

let's take a lesson from Zandreya from this one, and claim that not only do

you wither and decay everything, but that you are also responsible for

nature's circle of life. Now there's a product you can sell."

Devion rounded to Fatale, carefully dodging the armory of death that he

carried.

"You who are the Lord of Murder. "Murder"? That won't do at all. Let's

call it "Death". Much more of a neutral connotation. No mention of

'murder' in your tenets ya'hear? One day we'll give you a sick and bloody

kingdom where you can murder to your heart's content. All death is certain,

which is fine - you just get involved to hurry up the process is all."

Laughed Devion before prancing over to Mencius.

"You who are the Lord of Vengeance and Rage. All that anger and wrath. No

good, can't sell that. How about we call it passion and divine justice?

People can believe in that. Not everyone works by logic you know. Some

people just have to lash out." Grinned Devion, patting Mencius on the head.

The Gods of Evil watched Devion skip over to Drakkara then collapse

dramatically in Her arms.

"Dear, dear Mother, who raised Us in our evil ways, who with our Father are

responsible for what We have become. Tarry with evil magic no longer. Let

us call it "Magic of the Black Moon". Far better. We can't have people

worrying about consequences and ideology whilst casting their evil spells

now can we? Don't forget to tell them that Your magic is more powerful than

the magic of Kantilles or Sebatis." Giggled Devion, stroking his mother's

cheek.

"And Father, the Lord of Evil and of all things tainted immorality and

vice. You will inspire a Knighthood of Honor!" Chortled Devion

mischievously.

"Honor?" Asked Necrucifer, his aura deepening to a darker red.

"Of course! Do you see Austinian's steadfast knights? They are ordered,

well trained and disciplined. They will give their lives for each other,

and inspire the general populace of Algoron to follow them with their noble

deeds. What do you have? A bunch of uncouth bullies who are looking out

for themselves, fight alone and will flee at the first sight of the battle

going against them. Wouldn't you like some of Austinian and Nadrik's

Knighthood instead?"

Necrucifer sneered, and then his expression relaxed as He paused

thoughtfully.

"I could have an order of Knights?" He asked suspiciously.

"We're Gods Father, they listen to anything we say! You just have to dress

it up right! The Lord of Knighthood is weak. A couple of Your choice words

in his ear and he will be yours. You don't mind lying do you? Haven't

grown a conscience have we?" Laughed Devion rudely.

Necrucifer took a mighty swipe at him, which Devion dodged with ease. "So I

lie, I say I'm a higher evil which is a greater good?" Asked Necrucifer

when he had composed himself. "I can preach things like peace, which

Algoron can have after I have asserted my completely selfish rule of course,

and rule with an iron fist as I have always dreamed! The creations of

Austinian and Kwainin will be wiped from existence and history!"

"That's good copy Father." Agreed Devion, winking at Dragoth as his ear

fell off. "Does that mean you wipe out everyone but the Ogres? What of

humanity?"

The Lord of Evil laughed harshly. "Yes, I see it now." Mused Necrucifer.

"We pose as a greater Good whose morality and virtue will overcome a blinded

Good. Then instead of all our evil followers looking out for themselves,

I'll force them to co-operate under the banner of 'Evil Unity'!"

"Excellent Father, but you can go even further! How about we take this Good

and Evil ideology out of the equation, and call it Blue and Red instead?"

Devion gasped at his own inspiration. "Better yet, let's call it LIGHT and

DARK!"

The Gods of Evil gave him a round of applause and clapped him roughly on the

back. Devion buffed his fingernails modestly.

"And You my Son? What will you do?" Asked Drakkara.

"Me? I'll do what I've always done. LIE!" Cackled Devion. For some

reason, mischief and lies sell a lot better than any of your specialties.

I'll go on about freedom and people being allowed to be all they can be,

when really I'll be fooling everyone!" Laughed Devion, doing handsprings

down the divine chamber.

"So hang on, who gets to be Evil?" Snarled Mencius. "I want RAGE! I want

VENGENCE!"

"MURDER!! Bloood!" Echoed Fatale.

Devion held his head in his hands.

"You're all still Evil you dopes, you just TELL them that you're nice so

that your religions can be popular and you can get a decent following! Have

you been listening at all?" Shrieked Devion, rolling his eyes. "Oh for

goodness sake, just tell them what I've told you. They'll listen, they HAVE

TO!"

"Wait." Drakkara frowned. "Won't Evil figure out that they're being Good?

It's going to be too obvious."

Necrucifer scratched his head, then smiled. "I suppose we just shun and

punish them if they start asking the wrong questions. Alright, let's do it

Devion's way. Well done my Son."

Devion revelled in His master work, His triumph.

The six red-auraed family of divine beings faded to a deep crimson blur.

A bright golden blur faded to reveal a family of six golden-auraed divine

beings.

"We have a problem." Said Austinian, vexed.

"What problem is this my Love?" Frowned Taliena, moving swiftly to His

side.

"Evil have understood their shortcomings and have changed their strategy.

They have re-invented themselves." Said Austinian.

The divine golden-aurans looked at each other, perplexed.

"What do you mean Father?" Asked Kantilles.

"They have returned to Algoron professing to be a greater good. They have

already formed a new Knighthood. Necrucifer has bent all his will to San

Gohdam's ear. The Lord Knight has split from Serpantol taking a large

following of our Knights." Said Austinian.

There were cries of dismay and despair from the divine golden-aurans.

"Stealing our following using deceit Father? Surely Devion is at the heart

of this. We must show those of Algoron that this is false, and that there

is only one path to Good, and that is through us." Urged Nadrik.

Kantilles and Siccara gave a shout of approval. Kadiya was silent.

Austinian folded his arms and considered long before speaking. All looked

to him.

"No. We are the Gods of Good. We have given our followers the gift of free

will, to choose. We have issued our divine tenets of Good, our laws which

we ask them to respect and follow." Spake Austinian.

Siccara stepped forward, a faint smell of lavender filling the air.

"When mortals are commanded, their soul is in their keeping alone. When

they stand before Judgment they cannot say "but I was told by others to do

thus" or that "virtue was not convenient at the time. The responsibility of

mortals will be decided by their actions." She said gently.

Nadrik nodded to His sister, his flawless platemail and sword of honor

making the room even brighter.

"Goodness is in right action, and courage on behalf of those who cannot

defend themselves. What we desire of men is in their heads and hearts.

What they decide to do every day determines if they will be good, or evil."

"What man is Good who does not make the world better?" Asked Kadiya

solemnly.

Austinian heard what had been said and smiled.

"Let us consider this holistically. Let Evil preach for doing Good deeds.

Knights of Evil serving our treasured concept of honor. Necrucifer

preaching peace, respect, unity and co-operation. Dragoth preaching life

anew. Devion offering truth and freedom. These virtues were not previously

in the hearts of our enemies. Surely some will begin to look within and

start to understand their responsibility in their choice of path." Spake

Austinian in measured tones.

"Although mortals follow the Evil Gods, they will carry Good in their

hearts. Is it not more important that Our children do so, than on whom they

choose to follow?"

The six golden-auraed family of divine beings faded to a bright golden blur.

I can only agree, your parable is a very clever work of fiction - not to

mention a nice bit of propaganda. It caters to precisely the mindset that

will smile and nod along with any priest that happens to say the words one

wishes to hear or read. Unfortunately, reality seems to attest to the exact

opposite of your presentation of possibilities in the Divine realm and

moreover the carry over effects here within this mortal coil, unless I'm

very much mistaken on the flow of recent events. I suppose it could be that

I'm irrevocably insane and am hallucinating that the Darkness has gathered

the first there shards for precisely the reason that the servants of Evil

have worked in a unified manner to achieve the ends dictated to them by the

Gods they serve.

More importantly, and more interestingly, the why of this transpiring does

not matter. Why one individual or group has achieved their forward momentum

is irrelevant. The only thing that has mattered is what has been achieved.

And what has been achieved? Thus far, success. Why? Because some of us do

not care about why. We care about what. I fully agree with the gyst of an

earlier statement you made wherein you more or less claimed the Darkness

cares about the ends and not the means.

I am left to wonder just why it is you examine us so keenly in the wake of

your evident failures. One wonders why you aren't more keenly examining

just why it is, for example, the Light lost the bid on the second shard.

Was it perhaps greed? I certainly know hundreds of eggs were gathered for

the cause from, and I know this will be shocking, Althainians, Wrath and

even, horror of horrors, Gareth on our end through the simple process of

targetted marketing.

By the by, as you've been all to inquisitive towards the Darkness, I can

only hope you're open to answering questions posited as well. Was it more

dishonorable for the Darkness in the aforementioned timeframe to sell items

of war to their enemies for the purpose of achieving the end they were

commanded to, or was it more dishonorable for those of the Light, up to and

including those within Gareth, to purchase said items, giving their money to

the enemy for self gain instead of taking a step towards the freeing of a

Lord of Light? I look forward to your no doubt intellect raising response

Bishop of Deceit,

I knew you would enjoy the parable, as the ego of Devion is central to it.

Its primary purpose was to show Algoron the intent of Evil gods, rather than

the popular picture they would paint for us thanks to those such as your

Evil self.

While my Lord is still imprisoned upon the Black Moon, I give credit for

putting aside the self-interest we are used to from Evil and coming together

for their common Good. Good has been out-maneuvered at every turn so far.

I am not sure of the lengths that evil has gone to secure these victories,

although getting to some of the outcomes have been imaginative.

But as to your question. Law drives Gareth, and knights are forbidden to

trade to those of evil. If they have done so they will be punished, from

the Page to the General. Gideon Bane knows this, he has felt it. Nadrik

tells us to speak only the truth, even if it leads to our death. So it

shall be that honor neither sells or buys from enemies in accordance with

the law. They are both infringe on our honor. Yet do not be surprised if

the word of a Bishop of Deceit is not taken seriously without proof.

You explain how Evil has sacrificed honor to win a day of finance. Good has

a harder path to tread, and the path is not meant for all. We do not

apologize for this, or offer it as an excuse.

Dahakon: A lesson on Rage

Wed Jan 12 16:20:59 2011

Algoron,

Rage.

A word that many only think relates to the Darkness. Why? Rage is in us

all, in our souls, our minds, our hearts, and our actions. Yet it is one

that is commonly referred to as evil.

When the Knights dispense their "justice" upon the infidels is it not their

inner rage that is used? Call it what you wish, but it is rage.

When Nadrik himself cut off Devion's hand, was that not pure Rage? Call it

what you wish, but it the end, it is what it is, pure untouched Rage.

The power of Rage is undeniable; it is the strength of Kingdoms, cities,

nations, and the power for change. Rage burns deep within each mortal upon

Algoron and it is the Church of Mencius' Mission to show all where it lies.

In the final battle of mortal-kind, no matter which side you look at. Evil,

where shadow will strike down the Good and open the world for Necrucifer, or

Good which the Knights will vanquish all evil on Algoron. Rage -will- be

used. It is undeniable.

The Great Lord Mencius is a part of all people upon the realm of Algoron.

None are immune from the Rage which can fill the mind at a moment's notice,

we just choose to call it under different names.

The Church of Mencius wishes to recognize it for what it is. His power upon

Algoron. The Church demands all people to thank the Lord of Rage for His

gift which has altered nations, entire societies, histories, and ways of

thought.

In the final days before the entire world is given to Necrucifer, his wife,

and his children, His Rage will be shown upon those that do not recognize it

and accept it in their hearts and minds, thanking the Lord for His gifts.

Thank you for your insight into the inner workings of the light. Though it

pains me to do so, I feel that I must point out the folly in your statement.

Might I remind you of the actions of one of your cloth, who held one of the

highest offices in your keep and now serves as Emperor of Althainia no less.

I am well aware that the memory of the light is selective, so allow me to

recreate the event for you. Some time ago one of our own was noticed inside

the walls of Althainia at the same time a guard was found asleep (no doubt

tired of your drawn out squabbles over how to be the prettiest butterfly).

Mercerion threw wild accusations and stormed the gates of Abaddon

single-handedly, slaying our guards and citizens in blind fury. Oh how I

still hear whispers of how the followers of Mencius watched in awe as this

holy champion of Nadrik showed them true, unbridled rage.

Though perhaps I am looking at this wrong. Yes, now I see it, your so called

reason and application of law. His reason was that he wished vengeance and

he simply named his blade 'law' before running off to unjustly slay

innocents. Perhaps we should all take a chapter from the light's book.

Perhaps one day I can join the Knights of Gareth and learn the same skills

What I can say is that all are held to account under the eyes of the law,

which is appropriated to action of all responsible individuals. I am sure

that the entire murderous city of Abaddon has much to answer for in this

regard.

Those who blinded by rage and driven by vengeance are less likely to arrive

at a just outcome. We use formal disciplined control and reasoned extension

of law to claim the element of fairness which a just and Good society have

come to expect of us.

You draw account of those who sometimes in their mortal capacity sometimes

err in their aspiration for doing Good. Mistakes will happen where mortal

For long have you been throwing around statements based entirely on your own

definitions of what you call 'Good' and 'Evil', and for long have I been

tired of it.

If you are referring to those of the Darkness, they do in fact lend

themselves very well to unity, something that has been proven time and time

again. Just because you state that 'Evil' is only looking out for itself,

does not somehow make it true.

Instead of making up your own definitions of words and dictating who is

what, perhaps it would suit you better to look deeper into your own

organization, as based on your definitions your comrades of Gareth and those

you ally yourself with, commit acts just as 'Evil' as those you label such.

Trying to shroud the nature of these acts in words like 'Good' does not

change anything.

The Shadow Knights will do whatever it takes to fulfill the Prophecy and

bring order to this world. We do not hide our goal and purpose.

Evil is unpalatable.

Make no mistake, this is not a war between light and dark, red and blue or

Good worships the moral Gods of Good who would have us make Algoron a better

Good aspires to honor, healing, peace, love and happiness.

Evil seeks murder, disease, decay, mischief, vengeance and rage.

The reason we fight this war of ideology is to see the principles of Good

So please, do not reference Good as the 'light', and Evil as 'darkness'.

His spirit has long felt this shame, and we feel that it is in the best

If we confess our transgressions and make amends for them then we shall

Perhaps in committing this sin it gave him the drive and desire to form the

Dunnikin: The Head of Cardinal Bolter MacLeod

Mon Mar 28 20:55:37 2011

To: Caenarfon Dialook Imm Religion Nadrik RP Darkonin Knighthood Althainia

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

With His Majesty's blessing, I write to further explain why the

Cardinal's head is where it belongs.

When those of the Darkness were pitted against those of the Light, Nadrik

Himself was taken captive by Lord Devion. His life still hangs in the

balance, dependant on the mortals of this realm. Shortly before the

Cardinal's death, those of the Light were given an opportunity to spare

Nadrik's life with a simple act of generosity: the price of a shard.

Instead, those of the Light saw fit to squander their monies. For what?

It's difficult to say. Althainia, the new bastion of Light, must be worth

thousands of eggs solely for the reasons that it is an ancient and powerful

city with a robust population, bustling commerce and an active arena which

must pay handsomely each time those of Algoron go to bet on the fights.

Nevertheless, the monies were selfishly with-held; not even Nadrik's life

was worth the price. What would you do, if you were a priest of the Light

and suddenly realized that those who speak of love, of honor, of goodness

and charity would put their own selfish desires above the life of a god?

The Cardinal was devastated. He was broken, driven mad with despair by the

hypocrisy, by the selfishness of those he thought loved Nadrik as he did.

He came to Darkonin seeking release from this anguish, and it was granted to

him. King Dialook, out of a mixture of respect and pity, removed Bolter's

head from his body. Before his death, Bolter's mind was touched by the hand

of Lord Dragoth, poisoned and decayed into madness. His head belongs always

to the Darkness. It is where and how Cardinal Bolter MacLeod chose to die.

It would be dishonorable to remove his head from its final resting place.

Instead, let those blue eyes forever watch the world that turned its back on

honor.

Never forget.

Mon Mar 28 23:51:54 2011

To: Caenarfon Dialook Dunnikin Imm Religion Darkonin Nadrik RP Knighthood Althainia

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I would like to clarify a few things, regarding Bolter Macleod and his

death, as none who are proceeding in this chain of missives, were with him

the day he died save myself, and the one who slew him.

Also, to the point of generosity, I would like to add, as I managed the

funds as they came in. Generosity was not a question, as the light gave

every silver piece we could collect. We were short, yes, but let us look at

a few things.

First: The darkness used vampires to coerce people neutral to the affair

into giving eggs to the cause. This is documented in several cases, one

such, being Ghyt of Arkane. This doesn't sound generous to me at all.

Secondly: The darkness was under the impression that after collecting their

eggs, and offering them, they would then get to KEEP their eggs. As if it

were a simple competition to see who could collect the most. Again, not

very generous.

Thirdly: The Darkness gathered eggs from such organizations as the Slayers.

Who's only claim to helping was because, and I quote, "Metallics will be

helping the Light." When indeed, Chromatics donated to the Darkness,

nullifying said argument.

I cannot claim to speak for the darkness, as I do not attend your meetings

or masses, but I will say that I have many doubts that the acts you

undertook to gather said shard, were in -ANY- way, generous. You were

simply acting to fell another God of the Light.

If you can honestly claim that you would give your eggs to the orphanage,

regardless of having won or lost the shard, I would then be willing to claim

that you were indeed acting Generously.

Back on topic, I would address the matter of Bolter's head upon the pike on

your wall. Goblinkind has every reason to be upset with what Bolter had

said about them during his life. He had misunderstood them, and believed

they could not show pity, remorse, or generosity. That they could not show

Honor, Dignity, Respect, Love, Compassion, or any of these things. He

believed them to be evil, wicked, and incapable of anything else. So I can

understand why, with how he regarded your kind, why you would keep his head

upon the pike.

I would simply ask one thing. Are you ready to prove all of the things he

has claimed?

You show no respect or Honor to a man whom was the leader of a faith for

many years.

You show no generosity in returning his head for a proper burial.

You show no remorse in the death of one whom was loved by his family.

You show the opposite of love, in your condemning hatred and lack of

forgiveness to the man

You show no pity to the man who lost sight of things in his life, and had

that life taken away at your own hands.

In short, You have served only that which you claimed poisoned Bolter's

mind. Dragoth, and Vengeance.

If you are prepared to prove the man you have hated all this time, then keep

the head. If you want to disprove him, then you will return the head so it

can properly be buried. The choice is yours, Darkonin, but Althainia will

ask you return the head to us, as he was one of our citizens.

If there is some goodwill which Knighthood and Althainia could offer for the

Gareth Keep wars Wargar and Conclave because of their sad acceptance of

undead demons into their ranks. We object in the name of all that is Good

that undead demons be allowed in a place meant only for dwarves, and a place

where higher learning is supposed to be paramount.

That both these clans have chosen to accept these undead demons into their

ranks, and the former shell of the living being is allowed citizenship. The

Knights of Gareth Keep look upon this with regret. Surely Cliath and

Kantilles will be make their objections known as Zandreya once did upon

these abominations.

That being said, Gareth Keep recognizes the sovereign differences between

Wargar and Thaxanos, and remember that when our own sovereignty is

threatened by Evil or Chaos then the dwarves have ever stood by our side.

We have an offer of peace with white robes, and hope that in time the evil

undead demon who has taken over the Conclave is exorcised and that we can

find a safe way to return those poor lost souls like Biem wandering in the

ether to their bodies. At this time we will be able to have more sensible

Verminasia, Others,

This past evening. An unfortunate tragedy struck the Arkanian continent.

It has been no secret, that, an overzealous group of crusaders, bent on the

eradication of evil from the continent of Arkania, as well as all of

Algoron, for months, has been camped nearby, between the kingdoms of

Verminasia and Arkane.

Be they of the Light or the Balance, last evening, they made their move.

Verminasia has been preparing each day to meet this challenge and to

overcome them. We find no difficulty whatsoever in answering the call to

arms and meet our enemies on the battlefield, whomever they may be.

Until last evening, our spies and scouts have been unable to determine to

which kingdom or cause these crusaders belong to. This group did indeed

strike as they said they would, and in honor of Lord Raije, we welcomed this

war. However these so called men of light and of balance, united against

evil, did not attack Verminasia as we had expected.

Instead, this group, whose purpose and message, for months, having been the

destruction of evil, did not attack evil. No. These crusaders, in the name

of the Light, instead, began several fires with the nearby woodland village.

Not only were several structures set ablaze, and still burn in these dawn

hours, but as well, they slayed enormous amounts of women, children, men,

and even animals. Their families, and loved ones, innocently murdered, during

the middle of the night. Their homes, and their very way of life, gone.

I suppose one could make a case for the side of these crusaders, if these

villagers had indeed been practitioners and worshipers of evil. They were

not. Each and every member of this innocent woodland village, prays to the

Light. In short, these so called crusaders of the light came in the middle

of the night to slaughter their own people, from their own pantheon.

After they bathed in the blood of innocents, they eventually did move to

attempt to march upon the Kingdom of Verminasia, but they have failed.

Vermiansia is heavily defended and guarded by brave men and women at each

and every possible entrance. Units are stationed throughout our walls in

anticipation of any possible means of attack. Our walls themselves are

built to defend against the most advanced types of possible attack.

Regardless of difference of faith and opinion and fervor towards us, the

Dark Pantheon, and His Followers, we have not marched on anyone, and we

especially have not killed innocent people, especially our own people, in

the name of war. The Light has. They have proven it this past evening.

One of the many signs of whom these crusaders are and whom they serve, lay

within the fact that they used crucifixion as trophies of their kills.

These crucifixes bore symbols of the Light, and in particular, Taliena.

I reiterate that the Dark Pantheon does not bathe in the blood of innocents,

but instead we are immersed in honor, loyalty, love, healing, and peace. It

is ironic that the Light has now proven that though they will preach these

very words, they are willing to kill innocent people of their own kind in

order to preserve themselves.

The Light has spoken, and actions recent have proven their ways. So too

shall the Dark Pantheon, give a response, in the name of true justice for

innocents who have nothing to do with such wars.

Above us now rages a Godswar between the forces of Good and Evil and

For this unconventional battle of the fifth shard, a win for Evil will see

the death of Nadrik, the God of Honor. Good must win all remaining contests

to save the Lord.

To those of Good I would say if you believe that there ought to be honor

upon Algoron, the hour is at hand to ride again to the cause. This is not

the last time you will be asked to do this.

To those of Balance, particularly those within Evil organizations, I would

say that this is your chance to improve balance the scales of Gods and

morality, as 6 of Evil, 5 of Neutrality and 4 of Good would tip the scales

further away from Neutral.

To those of Evil, particularly the significant proportion of you who would

claim that you follow all the principles of the Gods of Good, I would say

that if you believe in Good, Honor, Healing, Love, Peace as you profess,

then you will not strike at the divine beings who champion these virtues. I

Evil may lash out as they do not require the discipline to follow the rule

Evil is in disarray after their failure to claim their last shard for the

death of our Lord. The momentum lies with Good by gaining the last two.

The Lord of Honor can take heart that in all shard contests, we have held

His principle of Honor in our hearts as we competed, whilst Evil had the

luxury of whatever route to ensure their success.

Furthermore, although Evil seeks the death of the Lord of Honor and the

other Gods of Good, there are many within Evil who cherish the principles

such as those of Nadrik, Taliena and Kadiya.

There are Knights of Evil serving Nadrik's honor. Necrucifer preaching

peace, respect, unity and co-operation. Dragoth preaching life anew.

Devion offering truth.

We are each of us defined by our actions. For Good, it is more important

that Evil does Good, than their choice of which God they follow.

At some point hence, they will look to their actions and wonder with

amazement at why they sought out a God of Evil, when their nature was one of

Good, and lament the part they sought to play in seeking His destruction.

But for now followers of Good, rejoice and live by the morality and ethics

which the Gods of Good wish for their mortals, and we shall find Algoron

better for it.

Caenarfon: On the subject of morality

Wed Sep 5 16:16:53 2012

To: All ( Necrucifer Nadrik Religion Immortal RP ) Elaynah

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To clarify a few points from the Evil Bishop of Necrucifer.

We are Good, not 'light' or 'blue' or whatever other label you care to call

us. Good people aspire to do what is ethically right when facing choices,

not what might benefit them or be expedient.

Morality is not about choosing the best course of action, rather the Good

and right action in a given situation. The 'best' Evil action would not be

the moral right action, but served themselves.

You claim that Evil uses rationality and logic, yet in your parthenon is the

Rage of Mencius, that would overlook these things due to his nature. Yet

Good exhibits the law of Nadrik which must be adhered to or punishments

assigned.

You misunderstand the nature of a moral dilemma. The intention of the

construct is that there is no right answer. Only to use our moral and

ethical understanding to reason which action we would take were we faced

with it, and be able to defend that position if challenged. Indeed it shows

us to which of the virtues we hold most dear over another.

You say the key difference between Good and Evil is that Good Gods dictate

their will, and followers of Good must bend beyond their nature to fit to

this unattainable goal, whilst those of Evil will 'trust' followers of Evil

to make the right choices. Most Gods of Algoron have a set of tenets which

they will expect you to follow, and we all interpret the words of the Gods.

Our soul is in our keeping alone, if your God makes a claim on morality and

you stand before them, you cannot say, "But I was told by others to do

thus," or that "virtue was not convenient at the time."

If you follow the ways of ethics, morality and virtue, then you do not serve

Evil. Evil only serves itself.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Elaynah: On The Subject of Morality

Tue Aug 28 20:06:47 2012

To: All ( Necrucifer Religion Immortal RP )

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Morality comes into play whenever people interact with each other. It is

a system of values which justify an action, or actions. More simply put, to

be "moral" is to decide on the best course of action in a given situation.

Conflict arises whenever there isn't an agreement on a the justification of

an action, as with the Light and the Darkness.

The way the Light tell the story, their ways are more righteous ways of

deciding what actions are just - but rest assured, this is false. We of the

Shadows can be every bit as honorable and virtuous as they, and in fact, it

is the Light that guilty of perpetrating the very things they sling against

us as "wrong", to boot.

Firstly, let us understand that, unlike the Light, The Darkness seeks to

introduce a degree of rationality and logic into our moral deliberations.

There are no abjectly emotional choices that are based wholly upon the

prejudices of our community. That is to say, our morals must be justified

by some form of reasoning, and these are not acceptable if they are based

upon poor reasoning or inaccurate facts.

In fact, moral conundrums of the Light are not formulated by the principles

of their "right versus wrong", but instead focused on "right versus right",

which not only complicates matters, but is infinitely more difficult to

separate personal opinion and prejudice from - and thus their "moral

superiority" is false.

A beggar that steals food to feed his family. He is breaking the law, but

he and his loved ones needs to eat to live. Moral or immoral?

Saving yourself with a blast of acid toward a brigand when being waylayed

for your money and perhaps your very virtue. Moral or immoral?

Even the Light will find not everyone agrees with the answers to these

questions.

How about more vague situations? For instance: "Murder is unjust killing."

This question, of course, begs a whole host of new questions. Is it okay to

kill? Yes? No? Some times? Who decides? What constitutes "murder"? Do

the Light not wage war and kill upon the field of battle? Do they not have

assassins living within the walls of Althiania?

Ah ha. So it appears the Light DOES murder. So... When is murder just and

when is it unjust? You cannot kill an unarmed man, for it is dishonorable.

But if he's got a weapon in his hand, even if he's out-classed by his

opponent, it's just. If he falls down and you stab him in the back, it is

dishonorable. If he is on his back and you stab him in the front? Just.

How relative is that? It is ridiculous to assume the world works on a basis

that: "On the one hand is the good, the right, the true, and noble. On the

other hand is the awful, the wicked, the false, and the base"? Hardly. And

yet here they of the Light stand, equally attracted to each the right and

the wrong, yet call us debased and impure? Hypocritical.

Be not fooled. Decisions where it is "right versus wrong" are very easy to

make, decisions where it is "right versus right" are not.

The key difference is that the Light would have you believe these answers

come from a set of laws set forth by their Gods, trying against their nature

and logic itself to fit themselves into a tiny box of 'good' where as the

Darkness knows that our Gods trust us to be smart enough to come up with

these answer for ourselves.

Do not be blind as a sheep. Enjoy your freedoms of whole-brained

intelligent choices, verses half-assed righteousness.

Join the Darkness.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To the Kingdom and Clan of Good, and to those who would love their God's

purpose, Hail.

The purpose of this missive is to highlight the difference between 'good'

and 'light'.

We follow Gods of Good. Their intentions are Good, they aspire to be

benevolent, ethical and moral. We can understand this because of the

principles that they are devoted to, and in turn so are we.

Long ago, the forces of Evil were struggling and there was an effort to gain

more followers. They sought to make their appeal more wide reaching, and

they saw how the principles of our Gods were inspiring our following and

sought to emulate it.

Their own followers were lying, cheating and stealing. Some decided to no

longer call themselves Evil, and called themselves the "Darkness" and us the

"Light".

They did this in order to remove themselves from the principles of Evil,

Disease, Rage, Murder and Deceit upon which their Gods are founded and claim

that they were now principled people of the "Dark" who believed in Good,

Honor and Love.

Needless to say, they are quite confused, and if they thought about it for a

moment and were sincere in these intentions, then they would recant their

faith to their Gods of Evil and follow a God of Good which represented the

principles they claim to stand for.

They use this as a tool to struggle to maintain the Unity which their

natures are naturally opposed to, which is essential for their shared

success.

We of Good are principled people who respect and aspire to the principles

which our Gods stand for.

Yet there are those of Good who have heard the forces of Evil speak of

"Darkness" so much, they have reverted to the use of "light" to represent

the principles of our Gods. This is understandable, because of the rate of

rhetoric that Evil presents us with to try to convince us that they are a

greater good than us, ignoring what their own Gods stand for.

The purpose of this missive is to remind us that we are Good, because we

aspire to the principles of the Gods we follow. To say that we are

followers of 'light' or even 'blue' does not represent the principles of our

Gods, and plays into the hands of Evil who claim there is no difference.

The very reason we chose our Gods was the principles they stand for. Thus

can we be assured of the sincerity of our beliefs.

Austinian is the Father of Good. His wife and children embody the key

principles of Good. This means something, something which Evil lacks. To

claim this for 'light' misses the point of the principles they stand for.

So be mindful of these points in a discussion of faith, a sermon of love, a

philosophical point of truth, or an act of compassion. Good is our

all-encompassing principle.

Be mindful that to refer to 'Good' as 'light' only furthers their own agenda

and forsakes our own.

Let Evil continue to act in Good ways, it only embeds our principles and

furthers our cause. One day they may understand the inconsistency of their

position.

For those who do not, then I am certain that the Evil gods to whom the

principles which they choose to ignore will punish them for it in a manner

which one would expect of Evil.

But for now, I encourage you to continue following the principles of our

Good Gods, and that those principles inspire you as much today as the day

you made your decision.

I leave you with the Parable of Two Divine Councils, which is an allegory of

the above thinking.

To: All ( imm Religion Necrucifer )

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hear all the lands of Algoron praise unto the Master Necrucifer.

Look, followers of Light, into the mirror and see the faces of His servants

staring back at you. Your own assertion that you are Good no more makes you

Good than declaring yourself a balanx makes you a balanx. We are the same.

By His providence, we are liars, we are murderers, and we are seekers of

power. By His Evil hand do we seek vengeance, even if we call it justice.

By Darkness do you and I alike see all things rot away: the castles, the

kings who inhabit them, and the loyalty we feel for them. Look across the

battlefield into the faces of your adversaries and see yourselves.

His power is great, unyielding, and terrible. His Way is Truth. Look within

yourselves and see His Darkness already in residence there.

In service,

Liviya Madaur

Princess of Verminasia

Kahlyn: Mirror, Mirror

To: All ( Imm Kantilles Religion )

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Too All Children of the Light of Goodness,

When I look into the mirror, I see myself. I see my dedication to Goodness.

It is well known that assertion and words do not make us whom we are.

Our actions, as Lord Kantilles teaches, how we walk, what we do makes us

whom we are. When we walk in purity, when we walk with love, when we act

with compassion, when we forgive, when we embrace each other in Unity, when

we follow our Tenets laid out by the Pantheon of Goodness: this is how

we are Goodly. Yes, we may make mistakes, for we are mortal. What separates

us from evil is our progress to the Perfection of Goodness, not the act of

perfection as this is impossible for mortals to achieve. We are strong in

our Unity, in our Love, in the Grace that our Gods bequeath us and we shall

never be ashamed of such.

Forever in Service to the Light of Goodness and Althainia,

Emperor Kahlyn Snowdragon

Priest of Lord Kantilles

Caenarfon: Diseased? Suffering? Dying?

The High Priest of Dragoth claims that Dragoth will give life. If you

are diseased, suffering or dying, then it is likely that it is the very

curse of Dragoth which afflicts you. The Evil ways of Dragoth means that He

spreads his disease and decay for the purpose to harm.

If you seek healing, look to Siccara.

If you seek creation, look to Cliath.

If you seek the circle of life of nature, look to Zandreya

If you seek love, happiness and peace, look to Taliena.

If you seek disease and decay, look to Dragoth and He will grant premature death.

All you need do is recant your ways, and follow Lord Dragoth. Give Him your all, and perhaps

He will give you life.

Dunnikin: The Plague

Thu Oct 18 21:58:03 2012

To: All ( Dragoth Imm Religion )

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

See how they fear my Master? See how the priests of Light scramble madly

to make sense of the pestilence that I have brought to this world by my

Master's hand?

They tell you that only their goddess can heal you, but they lie.

I died willingly for my Lord Dragoth, and I was reborn. This was His doing.

Not so long ago, when the King of Darkonin lay dying of a deadly pestilence,

did we call in healers? No. Did we pray to Siccara? No. We turned to

Lord Dragoth and praised His truth, His gifts, His power. I sat with the

King, awaiting his death, but the Lord of Disease saw his faith and knew it

to be strong. Dragoth healed the King, for what He gives, He can take away.

Cease your wailing, unless you are weak. Turn from the Light, and kneel

before the Darkness. Give praise to Dragoth, give Him your All, and perhaps

He will find you worthy.

Dragoth bless,

High Priestess Dunnikin

To clarify, we are not Priests of light, but Priests of Good.

While no one doubts that the Gods of Algoron have divine powers, and have

the power to grant and take life, healing and the sustenance of life are not

the principles over which Dragoth presides.

Dragoth and His followers seek to bring disease and decay to Algoron, just

as it is the role of Siccara and Her followers to heal it.

Only such Evil could seek to bring life to an end in such a nefarious way,

insomuch as it is the role of Cliath to create, and Zandreya to be

responsible for nature's circle of life.

You may say as often as you wish, 'It is Siccara's role to heal,'

Perhaps it is, but that does not mean Dragoth cannot remove the Plague that

He has given. Just as the Pestilence passed over those places where Darkness--

call it Evil if it makes you feel better somehow-- has hold, He can remove it.

Just as your goddess once used my Master's pestilence to punish a believer for

turning away from her, my Master can remove pestilence if only you will

praise His name and accept what He offers -- gladly, willingly, and unquestioningly.

Dragoth bless.

Caenarfon: Sincere acceptance of Dragoth's gift

Sat Oct 20 16:34:04 2012

To: all imm religion

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I can not begin to understand the High Priest would ever desire Dragoth's

"gift" of pestilence removed from her person, the blessing that it is.

If I was sincere and took His gift both gladly and willingly that I would

wish this gift of pestilence removed - I ought to be prepared to submit to

disease and premature death. Why would I wish Dragoth to remove his

precious gift, His blessing of disease and decay?

I cannot fathom why anyone would ever be sincere in this. But it does make

a difference clear between a Good Siccara and an Evil Dragoth.

All that come before Siccara seeking cures to Dragoth's diseases and decay

shall be cured - be you Evil or Good - Siccara will heal you.

Dragoth holds the sick hostage with His Evil disease and decay, He says,

"Follow Me and I will remove the gift of pestilence I have blessed you

with."

As a priest of Good, I would wish that he kept His "blessings" to those who

would accept them such as the High Priest.

Prayer

Upon this day I appeal to our Lord Nadrik, and his Avatar Lezra Lezul. Much time has past since we have heard of the grevious position of our Lord Nadrik, trapped upon the Black Moon.

Much time has been spent seeking the knowledge from Your father's words, to seek the Shards of Seanan. Conclave's masters asked, the Library of the Balanx searched, the homes of Sinarious and Nagash, Seanan's contemparories sought, yet naught has yet come to His servants to deliver the Lord from the clutches of Evil.

I appeal to you if you or your greater servants are able, to send word to your faithful as to your deliverance, for should you fall to the denizens of Evil, then a wail of great grief and despair will be heard from Your faithful.

Too long have we dallied without guidance as to where to assist You O Lord, and we will do our utmost to see you returned to Your place of Good's protector of honor and righetousness.

Upon this day I considered the following premises

That honor is often subjective to personal subjectivity, and that something more generic might be considered for everyone to get behind.

Taliena has such a statement in "All you need is Love". Not everyone may agree with all parts of love, but no one can disagree with such a central tenet.

In the interests of delivering you from your captivity, we need to bring the Good people of Algoron together to fight for Your freedom, and in doing so need something they can all get behind. As there are many subjective views on honor we need to reduce the concept to something which everyone can rally behind.

When Cardinal Bolter fell, it was because he would not stand with those who were evil, but willing to help in Your deliverance. As a consequence of this Good's path together fractured.

The issue is obvious, honor under the subjectivity of some is rigid and inflexible and it ought not to be this. As we draw from our experience our understanding of Truth changes which will affect our honor.

As our mortal law is imperfect, we reform laws to improve them when justice is unfulfilled, so must our honor improve as experience teaches us.

Honor ought not to be a shackle which holds us back from seeing honor done. Rather it grows and improves with experience, learning when we learn.

Upon this day I have continued to reflect upon a simple position of honor for all to follow, based around my recent considerations around the issue of honor's subjectivity and how in our Lord's hour of need we need a common bond which all can gather behind.

Central to this premise is that honor need not be a rigid and inflexible casing which binds us well after the facts change, but a pragmatic and virtuous way to express the concept of honor which allows us to work with those who are honorable, but do not hold to our strict ideals.

It ought to be possible for those of Knighthood who hold ourselves to high ideals to work with those of differing honor, so long as it is not evil in nature. Like those before us in Serpantol who became trapped by inflexible laws, we should be more understanding and tolerant of the honor of others.

In this way, Your word will become more accessible to those who consider the concept of Knighthood and Honor to be elitist and arrogant, without us having to step back from the moral high ground.

Upon this day, I argued with a young aspirant of Necrucifer who sought to claim Your honor for Evil. As I made plain, Evil will use honor when it suits them to inspire others, then cast it aside when it is not needed. This is not Honor.

The Challenge is sent forth for worthies from Shadow to justify their Order and their existence. Although these were not formerly discussed as bishop tasks, Lezra Lazul bade pursuit of this line of enquiry being a righteous one. And if it is possible I would like to choose this attack on Shadow as a worthy task of a Priest of Honor." Too often the battle is taken to the enemy by only force of arms where most things are equal. To strike where they hurt the most, in their purity of purpose can we do the most to discredit and defeat them with the most ease. Shadow seek to get Algoron to follow them in the creation of their world order. By showing the error of their ways, can we best ensure that they do not gather a significant following in this war of ideology.
