Travel Planning...Full Steam Ahead

Busy, busy. We're planning a million things all at once, and I think we're doing a pretty good job at keeping it all organized...thanks to Googoe Docs, that is.

We've got some exciting confirmations to talk about, too. In Italy, we'll be staying with a young couple for a week on Lake Garda and the other week will be spent riding a motorcycle around the country. In France, we have two separate families that we'll be staying with for a week at a time each...both right near Paris, too. We're still all set to stay with some people in China when we get there, which will be nice. In Germany, we've heard back from one family who might just be able to give us a place to stay - they'll be getting back to us shortly. We're looking at the option of sailing around the Greek Isles instead of staying at a hotel since the price will be comparable. We've also just sent off the booking request to the Russian agency assisting us with booking the 6 day train to China. For the one night that we'll be in Moscow, we'll just couch surf.

We still have some holes i our trip to fill, though. The UK is a big question mark, including Scotland and Ireland. Japan is proving to be the most difficult, but we still have a few tricks up our sleeves. Thailand is quickly falling apart because we can't get in touch with the family friend. And then there's the Philippines. We're not really sure how things are going over there...we have a general idea of what we want to do and we know it will be pretty cheap and it's a long time until we get there, so I think we'll just ignore it for now.

Things will work out, they always do. In the next couple weeks, I hope that we can confirm the sailing trip in Greece and the train trip to China. I want us to figure what the heck is happening in the UK. And lastly, we need to figure out where we're going to sleep in Japan.

this trip is a lot of work and planning. Good times, though.
