Our 1st London Geocache

Since it was rather rainy and we slept 3/4 of the day away, we decided a good way to get out and explore the neighbourhood would be by doing some geocaching. We weren't able to find the first two that we looked for, but we did get to explore two really cool parks. While trying to find the first cache in Blythe Park, we sampled wild blackberries. While trying to find our second cache, we went through Honor Oak Park. There is a 400 year old Oak tree in the centre of the park and Queen Elizabeth sat under it in 1602. There is also a beautiful church in the park St. Augustine. Therefore, even though the cache is no longer located in this park, I have to thank the cacher for hiding it and helping us discover the park.

Colin found our first cache abroad-the Peckham Rye Park cache. It was located in the middle of two trees covered in Ivy. We didn't take anything, but we left a Canada pin. This great caching also gave us our exercise and a wonderfully warm humid walk in the rain too.
