London Rubber Ducks

Ever since I was a little girl, my Grandma, my mom and my aunt have sworn by the British “Woman's pill” also know as paracetamol. It's like Tylenol only better. I used to take it for cramps and headaches etc. We used to make fun of my uncle for taking them too. We stopped at Boots pharmacy today and I tried to buy 3 boxes, but they only sell a max of 2 per person. We hit up a third pharmacy so I could get my fix. I am bringing them back for my Grandma, mom and aunt. The other neat thing is that the boxes actually have braille on them too.

We toured Charles Dickens' house today which was brilliant. Afterward, we walked to the British Museum and spent almost 3 hours there. I was in antique book heaven. U already got to see old leather bound copies of every book Dickens has written and then I got to see tens of thousands of books in the library in the British Museum. I would have loved to have had the key to those cases of books. The room was filled with hundreds of bookshelves and the upper level of the library that you picture the rolling staircase leading to also contained hundreds of bookshelves too. By the time we left the British museum the pages of my mind were bursting with knowledge.

In addition to gaining a plethora of knowledge today, we also indulged in my rubber duck fetish. We went into Imperial News to buy postcards and stamps. We were wandering up and down the aisles and then I saw their beaks pointing out over the edge of the shelves-British rubber ducks.

It was a tough choice and Colin wouldn't let me buy two, but I decided on the British royal guard rubber duck.
