Mayerthorpe Geocaching

Last Sunday, we went to Mayerthorpe for my grandparents' 55th Wedding Anniversary. It was a beautiful day and as fun as it was to hang out in a community hall, we escaped for a quick hour to find a few geocahces. There were two new caches in town since we were in Mayerthorpe last summer.

The first cache we found was Prairie Pirates Lair. We traded a handheld game for two friendship bracelets that we gave to my friend's daugther and her friend. It was a nice walk and we even got to see some small town drama on the way. There was a car driving along with a girl walking beside it yelling at the couple. I suspect there was some sort of cheating going on.

The second cache we found was Seann Triubhas by a farmer's field and wasn't too far from the highway. My parents found the cache with us. My mom was super excited because there was an antique spoon in the cache. We traded a few items for the spoon (because my mom highly valued it). It was the first time we've found a spoon in a geocache. I would really like to find a rubber duck since I collect rubber ducks, but I haven't found a cache with a duck in it yet.
