Ancient Fountains and Squares

Colin and I visited an amazing fountain that was built in 1732. It's called Trevi Fountain. Like most of the fountains in Rome the water shoots out of some crevice on a statue such as the mouth. The fountain is made up of a number of statues. We saw many tourists kissing and throwing money in over their shoulders. We decided to do both for good luck.

Next, we walked to the Pantheon and toured the large dome and the various basilica mounments inside. Our last big item on the agenda for the day was to visit Piazza Nouva which is the nicest square in Rome. There are two fountains in the square and a monument. The square is also surrounded by beautiful old buildings too. There was an art sale on the day of our visit and Colin bought a small print of the colosseum for his journal.

We finished our day of touring with some geocaching and great pizza.
