Home Exchanges

We're going to attempt to exchange homes with as many families as we can as we trek across the globe. This will inherently take us off the beaten track and place us delicately into the lives of an average citizen of the country we're in. Catching the tube in London, grabbing a cappuccino in Italy and picking up some bread and wine for supper in France, getting stuffed into the subway in Tokyo and jumping on a Jeepney in the Philippines will all shortly become part of our daily commute.

We made the plunge last weekend and added our home to 3 websites that advertise our home available for exchange. Days later we received a few responses which elevated our spirits. This weekend we broke the language barrier by contacting dozens of people across the world letting them know who we are and asking if they would like to exchange homes.

This is our first round of contacting people and we'll follow up later this week by contacting even more people. With some luck, we may even have a home or two lined up.
