Feet

Artist Statement:

The subject of this photo is my shoes and the setting is on the bus. I used my Canon camera to take this picture, and the Photos app on my laptop to edit it. This photo contains the elements/principles of line, because of the many lines on my shoes and jeans; shape, because of the different circles on my shoes; color, because my sneakers and jeans; space, because all sides of the photo are activated; and pattern, because I feel like the shoelaces create one.

This photo contains both the composition rules/techniques of soft focus and sharp focus, because one of the shoes is blurry, while the other is crisp and clear. Originally, the photo was pretty big, so I cropped it to make it more interesting, and to make it activate all edges.

This photo was taken on my busride home from school. I decided to take it then, because the lighting was really nice at that time of day. This photo relates to my life because it is a photo of my shoes which I wear almost everyday. If I could change something about this image, it would be to clean the edges of the Converse logo, because it looks sort of rough.
