Perspective

Artist Statement:

The subject of this piece is in the hallway of the school, at the end of the day. I used graphite pencil, and a ruler to create this piece, and I used one-point perspective. In this piece I used line throughout the whole thing, because of the perspective I used. I also used space, because I filled almost all of the space on the paper. I also think I used a little bit of balance, because it looks balanced when you look at it.

In this project I used leading lines because all of the lines in this piece lead to the vanishing point. I also used informal balance, as I explained before. While creating this piece, I had to remake the back wall about seven times, because it was difficult to make it accurate. I also had to erase the vents on the lockers and make new ones, because they weren't accurate.

This project relates to my life because it is of my school. I think if I could revise the work, I would make the lockers taller, and fix the first door on the left, because the top is incorrect. I would also fix the celing tiles, and lights.
