Teapot Design

Artist Statement:

This presentation is a teapot I designed out of vegtables that I thought would work as a teapot. I chose to design the body out of a lettuce head, the handle out of a chili pepper, the lid out of a broccoli head, and the spout out of a green pea pod. I wanted the entire teapot to be a natural green color scheme, with natural textures. I liked the lettuce being the body, because it makes it easy to blend the other parts into the leaves. Originally, I wanted to have the handle be a red pepper, but I feel like that would be a weird area for a pop of color. My favorite subject to create in art is natural things, so this was a really fun creative project for me.
