Organic Forms and Textures

Floating

FEBRUARY 11, 2019

For this image I wasn't quite sure what to do at first. The assignment was organic forms and textures, a.k.a. photographing nature and natural items / things. I knew that this was going to be pretty easy to incorporate with my concentration, which is water / liquid, because water is a naturally occurring thing and can be found easily with organic materials. However, when I got home at night, I realized that I didn't really want to go outside to take pictures of the natural items out there! But, we do have a vase of a bouquet of flowers in my house. I thought that these flowers could immediately be put in a bath of water or something similar, and was reminded of my milk silk experiment that I did on my Hands image! I thought that this process might look pretty cool with the colorful flowers, and proceeded to toss them into my sink with water and milk mixed in, to make the flowers look like they were floating in an interesting substance, and maybe even a cloud!
