Cloning and Overlays

This is the cloning and overlays project. The goal of this project was to make two new images by editing two of our old images, using the cloning and overlay techniques from photoshop. For the cloning aspect, I decided to use this picture of my sister that I took. I removed the elastics from her wrist, because I feel like they were a little distracting, and did that using the cloning tool on photoshop. I found that this was a lot harder than it looked, especially since the light that I was using lit up behind her hand so that her wrist wasn't all one color, and the wall behind her made a light ring of color around her actual arm, so when I tried to clone her arm skin tone, it looked like I was drawing on her arm and didn't look quite right. After messing around for a while I came up with this product, and even though I think if it spent longer on it it would look better, I think it looks pretty good for the patience that I had! In the second set of images I used a picture that I took of my friend Natalie Crawford in front of some colored doors. I wanted to add some flower aspect and brighter colors to the image, so I used an old image that I took of the goldenrod in my backyard. This process was a little easier, and the only trouble I had was making sure that the images were the same size so that the head wouldn't be cut off. Overall I liked this project a lot and I look forward to combining more images with the overlay tool!
