Complementary Color

I really like the objectives of these color projects, because I really like including unique, not necessarily bright, but interesting color in my pictures! For this complementary project, I knew right away that I had to do something with blue and orange, because that is my favorite complementary color pair! I also wanted to include liquid somehow, in order to further build my concentration. When I was looking for random, brightly colored things around my room, I came across this pair of really bright orange sunglasses (that I no longer wear). I was like, "Hey! These could definitely work!", however I didn't really have any clue what to do with them or an appropriate backdrop, because I really wanted the image to be just focused on the sunglasses. I decided to build my own mini photography studio, which I should've taken a picture of, because it looked really silly! I pinned a blue piece of construction paper to a little book I had to create a backdrop, and lined up flashlights against cups to light my little backdrop. Then, I took a really nice, glossy blue paint that I never really used, and just poured it all over the sunglasses, to make it look drippy. I don't really know what this image means, but I like the intense shadow in the back, and the saturated, bright colors. I think now, looking back on it, it kind of reminds me of someone's vision clouding over.
