Green Means Go

For this project, I really wanted to include my concentration, because I haven't really been focusing on that a lot lately! The objective of the project was to create an image that has monochromatic color, meaning one color throughout the whole image. I was kind of struggling with how to get this effect at first, because I couldn't think of any backdrops or areas that are a whole wall of one color, other than school walls, which are all white. Then, I remembered an image that I took of my sister last year where she was in the yellow light that we have downstairs in our basement. I thought of the idea of bringing a clear glass of water downstairs, and using our colored green lightbulb to light the glass up in green. The glass created an interesting shadow on the wall behind it too, so I made sure to include that in the image. I also took an image of the bulb at an interesting angle, which is under this text box. For editing these images, I darkened them a little bit and then brought up the color, so the color was more saturated and more stark against the darkness of the rest of the image!
