I created this image for the minimalist project. It's of three balloons, one yellow, one blue, and one green, all of my favorite colors! The balloons are positioned against the outside wall of my house on our deck. At first I wasn't sure what kind of image I wanted to create and was struggling a little bit, but then as I was scanning my house for ideas, I noticed that I really liked the way this particular wall looked. I'm not sure what it is about the wall, but I figured it would make a good background! Then I wondered what else I could use to make an image, and my mom suggested a balloon! I really wanted a red balloon at first because I thought it would show up really nicely against the background of my house, but we didn't have any red balloons, so I decided on these three colors because I thought they created the nicest palette with the grey-blue color of my house! It was super windy outside when I took these pictures, so we had to tape the balloons to the wall and take the pictures really quick before they blew away.
One thing I think I could improve about this image would be the brightness / contrast between the balloons and the background wall. I messed around with the exposure and contrast quite a bit when I was editing the image, and compared to the original photo, this one here is the best edit I figured I could do. I like how I decided to put the balloons in the bottom left third of the image, in order to activate the rule of thirds!
