Dear Mulwala School Community,
I am delighted to connect with you all as we embark on an exciting new term at Mulwala Public School. I am excited to be back in this wonderful community, and I look forward to working alongside our students, staff, and families to make this a fantastic start to a year of learning and growth.
Over the holiday break, our school underwent some wonderful improvements that have already sparked excitement among our students. The enhancements to the playground, office, and learning spaces have created a refreshed and welcoming environment that supports both play and learning.
Our students have settled into the term exceptionally well. Classrooms are actively focusing on establishing strong routines that promote positive learning habits and create a supportive atmosphere for success. Selected students from Years 3 to 6 have been participating in successful stroke correction swimming sessions, further supporting their skill development. K-6 students also engaged in a great Future Academy session last Tuesday.
It was great to see the families that attended our first assembly of the year on Friday. During this assembly, not only did we celebrate student learning achievements, we also acknowledged the newly elected Sport Captains. I am sure that they will do a great job at leading their respective houses at our swimming carnival tomorrow.
During the assembly, I had a chance to introduce myself and begin the process of connecting with every family at our fabulous school. Hopefully I will get a chance to meet more families tomorrow at the swimming carnival and also at our welcome bbq, Monday next week. The bbq will be a great opportunity for staff to connect with families. It will also be an opportunity for you to see some of the great changes that took place over the holidays. There will be a short P&C meeting that will follow the bbq. I hope you are all able to make it.
In the coming days, I will be emailing every family a survey, to help reflect on 2025 and to assist with planning for 2026. We are in the process of reviewing our communication methods and how and when we celebrate our achievements. Please take the time to complete the survey when it arrives.
Thank you all for your ongoing support. Together, we will continue to foster a safe, engaging, and inspiring learning community for all.
Kind regards,
Mrs Emma Quinn
