Principal's message

Yarma (Welcome)

Dear parents and carers,

As we approach the final three weeks of the school year, I would like to thank you for your ongoing support throughout 2025. This busy time includes important events and key dates, so please take a moment to check the school calendar regularly to stay informed. Your involvement is invaluable as we work together to finish the year positively and prepare for the year ahead.

Extended Leave

I wish to inform you that I will be taking extended leave for the duration of Term 1, 2025. During this time, the school will continue to be led with the same commitment to providing a high-quality education and supportive environment for your children.

Mr Gray, Director of Educational Leadership for the Hume Principals Network, will announce the appointed replacement principal who will oversee the school in my absence. I am confident that the appointed leader will ensure a smooth continuation of all school programs and activities.

Student reports

Our teachers are currently preparing student reports to give you a clear overview of your child’s progress this semester. These reports highlight their achievements so far and outline the next steps to support their continued learning and growth. The reports will be distributed via SchoolBytes on Friday 12 December.

Swimming

Learn to swim lessons will take place each afternoon during Weeks 9 and 10. Students are asked to bring their swimmers, rashie, towel, jumper, and thongs in a swimming bag. The weather will be monitored each day, and a determination will be made as to whether or not the swimming lessons will go ahead.

P&C News

Working with Children Checks

It is a requirement of the P&C association that all members have a current WWCC. Volunteer applications are free of charge. Follow the link to submit your online application prior to visiting the mobile centre: Working with children check. Once applications have been cleared a copy can be sent to the school office mulwala-p.school@det.nsw.edu.au.

Cod Classic Fundraiser

The Cod Classic is a major fundraiser for the P&C. Each year they man the merchandise stall and receive a substantial donation. The P&C require many volunteers From Thursday 4 December- Sunday 7 December, in particular on Friday evening and Saturday.. Please complete the form on parent portal to indicate your availability.
