I have full trust in Mrs Rosmulder and the rest of our dedicated staff to continue providing a safe and supportive learning environment for our students. I am grateful for their commitment and professionalism during this time.

Riverina Principals Conference
Mulwala Public School's Auslan Signing Choir was invited to be the opening entertainment at the recent Riverina Principals Conference, which focused on the theme of productivity.
The Riverina Principals Conference brought together educational leaders from the region to collaborate, share best practices, and explore strategies for enhancing productivity and excellence in education. It was a great honour for our school's Auslan Signing Choir to have been selected to kick off this important conference with their unique and captivating performance.
The Auslan Signing Choir at Mulwala Public School had received praise and recognition for their talent, creativity, and inclusivity. Their performances not only showcased the beauty of Auslan signing but also promoted diversity and unity within our school community.
As the opening entertainment for the Riverina Principals Conference, our Auslan Signing Choir had the opportunity to inspire and uplift educational leaders with their heartfelt and expressive performance. Their participation in this event was a true reflection of the dedication and skill of our students, as well as the support and guidance provided by Mrs Rosmulder. Their performance left a lasting impression on all attendees, highlighting the excellence and innovation that define Mulwala Public School

COVID 19 Advice
Students and staff should stay home when sick. Students, staff and visitors should only attend school when feeling well and symptom-free. Follow NSW Health advice on Testing and what to do if you have COVID-19
Parents and carers of children with persistent or ongoing COVID-19 symptom should discuss these with their local health care professional. These symptoms may be related to other illnesses (such as allergies or hay fever) and benefit from treatment and management by a doctor.
From the start of 2024, rapid antigen tests (RAT) are no longer available free of charge to schools. NSW Health recommend Testing for COVID-19 if you have symptoms and are at higher risk of serious illness.

Happy birthday 🎉
Evie M, Savannah, Tex and Remi celebrated another birthday recently. Happy birthday.
Our students displayed joy and enthusiasm during our recent Book Week celebrations, where we celebrated our love of literacy and creativity. The highlight of the week was the Book Week costume parade, where students showcased their favourite book characters with great enthusiasm and creativity.
In addition to the costume parade, our students engaged in various activities inspired by the Children's Book Council of Australia short-listed books. I am delighted to share some of the wonderful activities that took place:
Group 1 created story maps retelling the heartwarming tale of One Little Duck by Katrina Germein.
Group 2 expressed their creativity by designing their own concrete gardens with chalk art, inspired by the beautiful illustrations in The Concrete Garden by Bob Graham.
Group 3 embarked on mapping activities and used colours to represent Australian animals, plants, and landscapes after being inspired by the vibrant illustrations in Australia: Country of Colour by Jess Racklyeft.
Group 4 showcased their artistic talents by creating watercolour drawings representing how they spend quality time with their family, drawing inspiration from the touching story in Timeless by Kelly Canby.
It was wonderful to witness our students' engagement with these wonderful books and their creative interpretations of the stories. These activities not only fostered a love of reading but also encouraged creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration among our students.
Our dedicated P&C has once again generously donated a bag of books to every student in our school. The students have been eagerly awaiting this special gift and are overjoyed to take their new books home to read.
We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support and generosity of our P&C, whose contributions continue to enrich the educational experience of our students. These books will not only provide our students with hours of enjoyable reading but also help foster a love for learning and literacy.
On behalf of the entire school community, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the P&C for their thoughtful donation and unwavering commitment to our students' education. Your generosity is deeply appreciated and makes a significant difference in the lives of our students.
On Friday 6 September, Milla, Zali, Nancy, and Layla represented our school and the Finley Zone at the Riverina Athletics carnival, competing in various events with determination and skill. We are incredibly proud to announce their outstanding achievements:
Nancy demonstrated her exceptional abilities by securing 1st place in the high jump event and an impressive 2nd place in shotput. We commend her for these remarkable results. Nancy will now compete at the State Carnival.
Layla put in 100% effort in the 2oom and 1500m
The relay team showcased teamwork and perseverance as they competed in the relay event. Their efforts and commitment led them to a commendable 9th place finish.
We had 8 Future Jarmbies participate in session 1 of the Future Jarmbie Transition Program last week. This program is designed to help our incoming students transition smoothly into school life, allowing them to become familiar with our school environment and routines before officially starting Kindergarten.
During the program, our future Kindergarten students engaged in a variety of activities that aimed to introduce them to the school setting and foster a sense of belonging. Some of the highlights of the program included:
Immersion in a class routine to experience a typical school day and understand classroom expectations.
Guided tours of the school, where students explored different areas and facilities, becoming acquainted with their new surroundings.
Playtime on the playground equipment, providing opportunities for social interaction, physical activity, and fun.
Participation in a literacy activity based on the book Meanies by Joy Cowley, promoting early literacy skills and a love for reading among the students.
It was heartwarming to see our future Kindergarten students actively engage in the program, displaying enthusiasm, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. The positive interactions and experiences shared during the program have laid a strong foundation for their transition into Kindergarten and beyond.
Together, with staff and families, we are building a welcoming and supportive school community where every child can thrive and succeed.
Broad brimmed hats are now available at Judds Mensland in Yarrawonga.
The next P&C meeting is on Monday 14 October commencing at 7 pm. New members are welcome.
The P&C receives a substantial payment for organising and selling merchanise at the Yamaha Cod Classic. This will be held from Friday 6th - Sunday 8th December 2024. The P&C would like every family to volunteer some time over the weekend. More details to come soon.
It is a requirement of the P&C association that all members complete a Declaration for Child Related Workers. The completed form needs to be returned to the school office.
