Back to School vouchers
The Back to School NSW Voucher program has been very popular with families across our school communities. Families are keen to use their vouchers at school, and have redeemed more than $1.5 million worth of vouchers in NSW public schools so far.
The Minister recently announced that the voucher program would include excursions. A broad range of excursions are eligible, including excursions, incursions, camps, and travel to and from sporting and other extra-curricular activities. The excursions can be scheduled for any time in 2023, but the vouchers payment must be made before 30 June 2023.
Colour Fun Run
Mulwala Public School will be holding a Splash & Dash colour fun run on Friday 10 March. Please read the attached letter for more information then go to School Fun Run to create your child's profile. Funds raised will go towards reducing the cost of a whole school excursion to Altina Wildlife Park in Darlington Point in Term 2.
Your child will need a change of clothes for the Splash & Dash. White or light coloured clothes are the best. The clothes will be stained with food dye. They will also need a towel to dry themselves off. Goggles or sunglasses may also be used.
2024 Future Jarmbies
The school will be holding an information session for parents with a child commencing school in 2024.
When: Wednesday 22 March 2023
Time 5 pm - 6 pm
Extra-curricular activities
The school encourages all students to be active citizens and we like to acknowledge their participation in the community at assemblies. To ensure your child is recognised for their community participation, please remind them to tell the teacher during Jarmbie time each Monday morning, or alternatively, parents may contact the teachers.
Labeled items
Please ensure your child's items, in particular, hat, jumper and drink bottle, are labeled.
Bringing toys to school
The school has ample equipment and toys for students to play with at recess and lunch times. We ask that students do not bring toys and other items from home.
Bring your wheels to school
The students are invited to bring their wheels (bikes, scooters, skateboards etc) to school each Thursday to ride at lunchtime. The students must have a properly fitting helmet. This will begin on Thursday 16 February.
Voluntary School Contributions
Parents are invited to make a voluntary contribution of $40 which goes towards all classroom supplies.

On Friday 24 February we had the Finley Zone Swimming Carnival at Cobram. It was lots of fun and it was a good day to do the swimming carnival on. We had 9 students who swam- Nancy, Layla, Tommy, Nevaeh, Finn, Scarlett, Natalie, Caitlin and Harley. Everyone tried their best and had a go. They got lunch from the Barooga P&C. This is what they got -a sausage in bread with a drink and a cupcake. It was delicious. Good luck to Nancy and Finn who made it onto the Riverina Swimming Carnival.
