School Uniform
I want to take a moment to remind everyone of the importance of wearing our school uniform with pride. Our uniform is not just a set of clothes; it represents our school community, our values, and our commitment to excellence.
Recently, we have noticed an increasing number of students wearing out of uniform. While we understand that personal expression is important, we encourage all students to wear our school uniform consistently. Wearing our uniform fosters a sense of belonging and unity among students and helps maintain a positive and respectful learning environment.
To support all families in this endeavour, we are pleased to announce the availability of our pre-loved uniform pool. This initiative allows parents and students to access gently used uniforms at a low cost, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to wear our school colours with pride. If you require assistance in purchasing uniforms, please do not hesitate to contact the school office. We are here to help and want to ensure that every student feels included and proud to be part of our school community.
Thank you for your continued support!

Pulse Deniliquin
From July 29 to July 31, students in Years 3 to 6 will have the incredible opportunity to participate in workshops in drama, music, and dance, conducted by expert tutors from the Arts Unit. This initiative, known as Pulse Deniliquin, culminates in two performances on Thursday, July 31, where our talented students will showcase their hard work and creativity.
For our younger students in K-2, we have designed a special one-day workshop in creative arts, where they will engage in a variety of activities and have their performance recorded on video for all to enjoy. We are excited to announce that there will be no cost for these workshops, as the Mulwala Water Ski Club has generously provided a grant to cover the transportation expenses.
We encourage all students to take the opportunity to participate in this outstanding event. Please sign the permission note on the parent portal.

NSW Public Schools Student Survey
Term 2, we are offering our students in Years 3-6 the opportunity to participate in the NSW Public Schools Student Survey. The survey gives students the chance to share their thoughts and feelings about life at school, including questions about their engagement, learning experiences and wellbeing at school. The students will participate in the survey from 16-20 June.
Hearing directly from our students will help us understand what’s working well and where improvements can be made to our school. The survey is confidential, takes around 10 to 15 minutes to complete, and will be conducted online during school hours.
Participation is voluntary. If you prefer your child not to participate, please complete the opt-out consent form, which has been emailed to all families, by Friday 13 June. Further information about the survey is available at https://education.nsw.gov.au/npss
Personal belongings
As part of our ongoing efforts to maintain a focused and safe learning environment for all students, we would like to remind you of our policy regarding personal belongings at school.
We kindly ask that you discourage your child from bringing personal items, such as toys, games, and sporting equipment, to school. These items can often become distractions during lessons and lead to conflicts during playtime, which can disrupt the overall school experience for both your child and their peers.
Additionally, we want to assure you that our school is well-equipped with a variety of resources and materials for students to enjoy during their time at school, including sporting equipment. Should any items need replenishing, we are fully capable of restocking them to ensure that all students have access to engaging activities.
Furthermore, we want to clarify that the school staff will not be responsible for any personal belongings brought to school. This policy is in place to ensure that all students can fully engage in their learning and enjoy their time during breaks without the worry of misplaced or damaged items.
We appreciate your support in reinforcing this message at home.
Digital Device Policy
Teachers use a variety of digital devices and online services to enhance the learning of students. These include desk-top computers, Chromebooks and iPads. The students are restricted to using the devices in class time under teacher supervision.
Students may not bring a mobile device to school (including laptops, tablets, wearable technology, such as smartwatches and headphones). If bought to school, the device must be stored in the office, and be collected at the end of the day.
Mobile devices are not to be taken on excursions or extra-curricular activities.
Please read the school's Mobile Device Policy here.

It was my absolute pleasure to take 9 athletes from our school to the Finley Zone cross country last Friday. Samuel, Amelia, Sadie, Poppy, Jakob, Jack, Ezra, Evie and Arabella ran wonderful races and showed incredible sportsmanship throughout the day. Thank you for exhibiting our Mulwala Jarmbie values in the greater community. A special mention to Jakob who stopped during the start of the race to check on the wellbeing of another competitor. Well done.
Mrs Rosmulder
We had the pleasure of hosting the talented author Adrian Beck. He shared insights about his books and even demonstrated an amazing illustration.
A big thank you to Federation Libraries for their generous funding that made this event possible.
What a fantastic day for our K-2 students! They were thoroughly engaged by the live performance of Alpha Show's King Arthur, which beautifully conveyed the important messages of being honest with oneself and the value of equality. The Yarrawonga Mulwala Artist Association (YMAA) is pleased to announce the 2025 Junior Art Competition to be held from 28 June to 12 July. The competition is free and open to all students from Yarrawonga College P-12, Yarrawonga Sacred Heart Primary School and College and Mulwala Public School.
The theme for this year's competition is 'Express Yourself'. Your mind is important. Unleash your artistic creativity to express who you are, what you feel. The style of work may be a painting, drawing, print, textile, mixed media, collage or any other 2D medium.
The competition will have four categories: Prep to Grade 2, Grade 3 to Grade 6, Year 7 to Year 9 and Year 10 to Year 12. A 'Best in Show' and 'Encouragement Award' will be presented to each category. All entrants will receive a 'Certificate of Participation'. The entries will be judged by local artists from YMAA, with winners announced at the Grand Opening on Saturday 28 June, 3pm.
In addition to the ‘Best in Show’ and ‘Encouragement Award’ will be a ‘People’s Choice Award’. So, make sure your family and friends visit the Gallery to cast their vote for their favourite artwork (yours of course!). The winner will be announced after the end of the competition.
Works must be delivered to the Gallery by Friday 27 June. The Gallery will be open until 4pm on Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26, and 5pm Friday 27.
Hope to see you at the Grand Opening from 3pm Saturday 28 June where the winners for ‘Best in Show’ and ‘Encouragement Award’ will be announced.
