Covid Guidelines
The NSW Health and NSW Department of Education has updated the guidelines regarding Covid-19. They can be viewed here. Please note the following
NSW staff and students may continue attending school to work and learn.
School excursions are now permitted into regional Victoria.
In accordance with the Victorian Government 'circuit breaker' restrictions, all staff residing in NSW and Victoria, and students who meet the vulnerability criteria or who are children of essential workers are permitted to attend NSW schools except for the following reasons:
They must remain at home if they are unwell, even with the mildest of symptoms. If they are unwell they must receive a negative COVID test and be symptom free before returning to school.
If they have been to a venue of concern they must comply with the self-isolation and testing requirements as directed by the relevant Health Department. If you attended any of the venues identified on the Victorian Government website at the times listed, please contact NSW Health immediately on 1800 943 553.
If they are travelling from outside the ‘border bubble’ defined by the NSW Victoria border map
they will need to sign a declaration in accordance with NSW Health requirements. The declaration form is available on the Service NSW website, and can be completed in the 24-hour period before entering NSW or on arrival. The information gathered via the travel declarations is vital in allowing NSW Health to contact travellers if necessary.
It is important that schools and families continue to follow the COVID-19 guidelines outlined on this page. In particular we wish to highlight the following:
Students should not attend school if unwell, even with mild symptoms of COVID-19. Any person with any COVID-19 symptoms should be sent home and should not return until they have received a negative test result and are symptom-free. In circumstances where children have other medical reasons for recurrent symptoms a letter from their GP is sufficient to negate the requirement for a negative test.
Anyone who is unwell with COVID-19 symptoms is strongly encouraged to get tested and self-isolate until a negative result is received. Locations of testing clinics are available via the NSW government website.
Schools must continue to implement:
Personal hygiene, physical distancing, cleaning and record keeping practices.
Where possible to use outdoor areas weather permitting or large open spaces to enable adequate physical distancing.
All visitors to a school site must be well and symptom free, comply with sign-in arrangements, and the 1.5m physical distancing requirements.
Visitors to schools should maintain 1.5m distance from other people where practicable. Avoid congestion of groups of visitors in specific areas where possible.
All visitors to a school site must comply with sign-in arrangements. This includes acknowledging that they will comply with the COVID-19 requirements for visitors, contractors and service providers each time they visit. Visitors must also check in using the Service NSW QR code. Parents and carers who are dropping off or picking up students do not need to sign in or use the Service NSW QR code.

On Wednesday some students in Year 3-6 competed in the Lions Club Public Speaking school competition.
Year 3 and 4's topic was Volunteering in the Community and Year 5 and 6 was The Environment: How it affects the native wildlife and our planet.
We all received great feedback. Anastasia, Amelia F, Nevaeh and Remi will compete at the next level this Friday. We wish them the best of luck.
By Izzy.
On Thursday the 10 June I went to Gundagai for the Riverina Cross Country. It was 2 hours and 50 minutes away. I was so excited.
When my Dad and I got there I had to put on a shirt that had Finley on it. The colour was brownish colour and white. It was too big for all of the kids so we had to tuck the shirts in, so when we were running our knees did not get stuck.
As I was walking the track it was all wet and muddy and there was a bit where it was all muddy. But there was bits of dry grass so I went on that instead of going on the mud. Some of the high school kids were volunteering on the track so we knew where we were going. We had to cross a road but a teacher was there to cross us. The man said that we might not be able to go when we were about to go across the road.
At the start if you came 1st or 2nd you went in the front row. But if you came 3rd or 4th you went in the second row. The man that told us to go warmed up first before we went. They called us up when we were about to run. We lined up and they ticked off our name.
When I was running at the end I felt like my stomach was inside out. All of the girls that raced with me were so fast I could not keep up with them. I came 39th out of 47 kids. I felt really tired but proud.
