Yarma (Welcome
As we reach the end of another term, I am delighted to reflect on the wonderful learning experiences and achievements that have taken place within our school community. It has been a busy yet incredibly rewarding term, filled with opportunities for cultural, academic, and sporting growth for our students.
From celebrating 100 days of school with our enthusiastic Kinder students to engaging in the Many Mobs Connections Bridge Walk to celebrate NAIDOC Week, our students have embraced a range of cultural experiences that have broadened their understanding and appreciation of diversity.
The Year 5 and 6 students had the chance to participate in the small schools Creative Arts Camp, where they honed their artistic skills and creativity, while the MPS Olympic Games brought out the competitive spirit and teamwork among our students.
Our talented spellers showcased their skills at the Premier's Spelling Bee final, and the fun-filled Teddy Bears Picnic brought our school community together.
The Festival of Choral Music, Riverina Choral Festival and Primary Proms provided exciting cultural and social experiences for our students.
Book Week activities sparked imaginations and inspired a love for reading, while the The Finley Zone Athletics Carnival and Riverina Athletics event allowed our students to showcase their athleticism and sportsmanship. Reading by the Lake provided students with books to immerse themselves in the world of literature.
Looking ahead, our Future Jarmbies are preparing to take on new challenges and opportunities, while the CWA Romanian Days further developed the students sense of diversity.
I am proud of the dedication and enthusiasm shown by our students and staff throughout the term. Their hard work, creativity, and resilience have made this term a truly memorable and successful one.
As we break for the holidays, I encourage everyone to rest, rejuvenate, and return ready for another term of growth and achievement. Thank you to our entire school community for your ongoing support and collaboration.
Wishing you all a safe and enjoyable holiday break.
Congratulations
We wish Mr Boyer and his partner, Sue, love and happiness for their wedding today.

We have an increasing number of students coming to school not wearing the school uniform. I encourage all students to wear the school uniform to show pride in our school. The school has a second hand clothing pool if any families require extra uniforms.
Lost Property
There is a large amount of lost property at school. Please encourage your child to retrieve their lost items.
COVID 19 Advice
Students and staff should stay home when sick. Students, staff and visitors should only attend school when feeling well and symptom-free. Follow NSW Health advice on Testing and what to do if you have COVID-19
Parents and carers of children with persistent or ongoing COVID-19 symptom should discuss these with their local health care professional. These symptoms may be related to other illnesses (such as allergies or hay fever) and benefit from treatment and management by a doctor.
From the start of 2024, rapid antigen tests (RAT) are no longer available free of charge to schools. NSW Health recommend Testing for COVID-19 if you have symptoms and are at higher risk of serious illness.

On Tuesday students participated in our annual CWA International Country of Study. This year the country was Romania. The International Country of Study program brought the spirit of Romania to life, offering an engaging and educational experience for all the students.
Students participated in the traditional art of weaving in Romania. Students were fascinated by the intricate patterns and techniques used in Romanian textiles. They also had the chance to discover the popularity of baseball in Romania, engaging in friendly matches and learning about the history of the sport in the country.
Students retold traiditonal fairytales in the form of comics using Romanian words and expressions. Through colourful illustrations and humorous narratives, they delved into the playful world of comics while learning about Romanian language and culture in a fun and interactive way.
The Romanian Cultural Day was a resounding success, providing students with a unique and enriching experience that celebrated the beauty and diversity of Romania. Through hands-on activities and immersive learning opportunities, students were able to connect with a new culture, broaden their horizons, and embrace the values of inclusion and global understanding.
Congratulations to Nevaeh, Zali, and Harper who performed in the Auslan Signing Choir at the Primary Proms event on Monday evening at the Sydney Town Hall. They joined 450 voices from Years 3 to 4, along with talented instrumentalists and vocalists from public schools across NSW. This event showcased the incredible musical talents of public school students across NSW.
The students spent many lunch times rehearsing for the event. A big thank you to Mrs Rosmulder for supporting them and providing this wonderful opportunity.
