Today brings us to the end of another term. As well as the excellent learning that has been occurring in the classrooms, the term has provided many opportunities for many of our students, in which they have excelled in many areas.
I hope all the students have time to rest during the holidays, and enjoy time with famiy and friends. Students return to school on Tuesday 23 July.Â
Student reports
The teachers are currently writing the student reports. The teachers know all the students well, and are able to idnetify their strenghts and future goals, both academically and scoially. The reports will be distibuted via SchoolBytes on Friday 26 July.

The school will be celebrating Public Education Week on Friday 9 August with the Mulwala Olympics. Parents, families and friends will be invited to join us for the day. The theme for Education Week is Proud to belong. Â More information will be availalbe early next term.
2025 Student Enrolments
It is a requirement of the NSW Department of Education that schools have accurate anticipated enrolment numbers. Please complete the form on SchoolBytes to indicate if your child is returning to Mulwala Public School in 2025.
Enrolements are now being taken for the 2025 Kindergarten class. The transition program commences on Wednesday 11 September. Please note that children must be enrolled to particpate in the program. Online enrolments forms are available here.
Lost Property
There is a large amount of lost property at school. Please encourage your child to retreive their lost items.
COVID 19 Advice
Students and staff should stay home when sick. Students, staff and visitors should only attend school when feeling well and symptom-free. Follow NSW Health advice on Testing and what to do if you have COVID-19
Parents and carers of children with persistent or ongoing COVID-19 symptom should discuss these with their local health care professional. These symptoms may be related to other illnesses (such as allergies or hay fever) and benefit from treatment and management by a doctor.
From the start of 2024, rapid antigen tests (RAT) are no longer available free of charge to schools. NSW Health recommend Testing for COVID-19 if you have symptoms and are at higher risk of serious illness.

I was fortunate to judge the school final of the Lion's Club Public Speaking competition last Friday. I am always very impressed with the standard of the speeches and the confidence in which they are delivered. It always makes for a very hard decision.
Years 2, 3, and 4 had the topic  'Favourite Fairytale or Book Character' – If you could talk to your favourite fairytale character or a character from your favourite book – who would it be, why are they your favourite character and what would you ask them?Â
Years 5 and 6 had the topic- 'Who is the most influential person in your life?' Interview this person and then tell us about them – who are they, what do they do and how have they influenced you?Â
Congratulations to the following students.
