SASS Appreciation Week
This week, we proudly celebrate SASS Appreciation Week, a special time to recognise the incredible contributions of our School Administrative and Support Staff (SASS). These dedicated team members are the backbone of our schools, working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly for our students, teachers, and community.
From managing school records and coordinating communications to maintaining facilities and supporting student wellbeing, our SASS staff play a vital role in creating a positive and effective learning environment. Their commitment, professionalism, and care do not go unnoticed, and we are truly grateful for all they do.
We encourage parents and students to take a moment this week to personally thank the SASS staff at our school. A kind word, a note, or simply saying “thank you” can mean so much and show our appreciation for their hard work.
To all our SASS team members – thank you for your dedication and support. You make a difference every day, and we are fortunate to have you as part of our school community.

Last Friday, Amelia, Zain, Sadie, and Grace took part in an exciting online Taiko drumming session, hosted by the Arts Unit. This interactive workshop introduced the students to the powerful and dynamic art of Japanese Taiko drumming, combining rhythm, movement, and cultural learning.
Through the virtual session, the students learned fundamental drumming techniques and experienced the energy and teamwork involved in Taiko performance. The workshop not only enhanced their musical skills but also offered a unique insight into this traditional art form.
We commend Amelia, Zain, Sadie, and Grace for their enthusiasm and participation, and thank the Arts Unit for providing such a vibrant cultural experience. Opportunities like these continue to enrich our students’ learning beyond the classroom
Xavier was fortunate to attend Stewart House for 12 days. Stewart House is a special place that provides a supportive environment where children can enjoy a range of activities, develop new skills, and take a break from their everyday routine. It offers opportunities for learning, creativity, and fun, helping students to build confidence and make lasting memories.
At Stewart House, I made pottery. I created a dolphin and a pot; then we painted them and put them in a kiln. I also made wood art. I crafted the soccer team Arsenal and the rugby team Melbourne Storm. I went to the wax museum and saw wax statues of famous people. I also visited the aquarium, where I saw fish, dugongs, and sharks. After that, we went to the museum. On the weekend, I went on the Manly ferry and watched the rugby game between the Sea Eagles and the Dolphins.
