Grandparents day
Grandparents Day was a wonderful occasion that brought many special visitors to our school. Each student had the opportunity to spend time with a beloved grandparent or special person, creating cherished memories and strengthening the bonds between generations.
It was heartwarming to see the joy on our students’ faces as they engaged in various activities. This day not only highlighted the importance of family but also reinforced the strong sense of community we have at Mulwala Public School.
Thank you to all the grandparents and special guests who joined us. Your presence made this day truly special

Stay Updated with Events
As we move through Term 4, it’s important to stay informed about school events and important dates. Please keep an eye on our school calendar, which is regularly updated in the newsletter and on School Bytes. This is your go-to resource for everything happening at our school, from end of year activities to special performances and community events.
I encourage all families to engage with the school community, attend events, and support our students in their various pursuits. Your involvement makes a significant difference in our school culture and reinforces the importance of education.
Important Dates for Term 4
Sunday 17 November- Kite Festival
Friday 6 - Sunday 8 December-Cod Classic
Monday 16 December- Presentation Day
Tuesday 17 December - Year 6 Farewell dinner
Wednesday 18 December- Year 6 Farewell assembly
Assemblies and partial absences
We would like to emphasise the importance of maintaining accurate attendance records as required by the Department. To support our students' learning, we encourage everyone to remain at school until the official end of the school day at 3:00 PM.
Starting with our next assembly, students will be asked to return to their classrooms immediately after the event. If you choose for your child to leave early, please note that they will be marked absent for part of the day. This is crucial for keeping accurate attendance records and ensuring that our students do not miss out on valuable learning opportunities.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
COVID 19 Advice
Students and staff should stay home when sick. Students, staff and visitors should only attend school when feeling well and symptom-free. Follow NSW Health advice on Testing and what to do if you have COVID-19
Parents and carers of children with persistent or ongoing COVID-19 symptom should discuss these with their local health care professional. These symptoms may be related to other illnesses (such as allergies or hay fever) and benefit from treatment and management by a doctor.
From the start of 2024, rapid antigen tests (RAT) are no longer available free of charge to schools. NSW Health recommend Testing for COVID-19 if you have symptoms and are at higher risk of serious illness.

Happy birthday to Amelia, Esther and Evie
Our students had an amazing day at the Bonegilla Migrant Camp, where they dove into the fascinating history of migration to Australia. They even found their ancestors' names on the Bonegilla identity cards, making a personal connection to the stories of over 320,000 migrants who once passed through the camp.
The day was packed with fun and creative activities like pasta making, embroidery, clay pinch pot crafting, and paper quilling. These hands-on experiences allowed students to really engage with the cultural heritage of those who came before them.
Visiting the Bonegilla Migrant Experience was a journey of exploration for our students. They developed understanding, empathy, and cultural awareness as they learned about the unique stories of migrants. This experience helped them appreciate the rich diversity of backgrounds and experiences that shape our community.
We are all very proud of Nancy's achievements to compete in two events; shotput and high jump; at the PSSA State athletics carnival.
Thank you to all our special visitors who joined us for our annual celebration of Grandparents' Day
A big thank you to the P&C and the local police officers for organising the Halloween disco for the students. Lots of fun was had on the night.
Xavier, Grace, and Amelia had an amazing time at the Corowa High School Experience Day! They joined students from other local schools for a fun-filled day of activities.
They participated in sporting activities, woodworking, engaging maths games, and a delicious cooking session. Our students truly embraced the opportunity to explore what Corowa High School has to offer.
A big thank you to Corowa High School for hosting such a fantastic event!
