Remembrance Day
We are proud to announce that our students have been invited to perform at the Yarrawonga Mulwala RSL Remembrance Day service this year. This is a wonderful privilege and a significant opportunity for our young community members to pay tribute and show their respect for the sacrifices made by our veterans.
The students will be both singing and signing the National Anthem, demonstrating not only their musical talents but also their commitment to inclusivity and honouring all Australians. Their participation in such an important ceremony highlights the values of respect, remembrance, and community spirit that we strive to instil in our school.
We congratulate our students on this honour and look forward to supporting them as they represent our school with pride and dignity at this solemn occasion. We encourage all families and community members to attend the service and join in remembering those who have served and sacrificed for our nation.

This yearโs Annual Grandparents Day was a heartwarming success, with 52 grandparents joining in a day full of fun, creativity, and community spirit. The event provided a wonderful opportunity for grandparents and their families to connect, learn, and celebrate together.
Guests enthusiastically participated in a variety of engaging activities, including coding sessions, an art workshop themed around Sheroes, and a lively trivia game that tested their knowledge and sparked friendly competition. These activities not only entertained but also fostered intergenerational learning and collaboration.
Adding to the dayโs highlights was a pre-loved book sale, which attracted generous support from attendees. Thanks to their contributions, $115 was raised and donated to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation, supporting efforts to improve literacy outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.
The Annual Grandparents Day once again showcased the vital role grandparents play in enriching family and community life, creating lasting memories while contributing to a good cause. We look forward to welcoming even more participants next year for another day of celebration and connection.
Last Friday Year 5 and 6 students participated in the Sydney Thunder School Smash cricket gala day at Corowa, competing against other local schools. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to put into practice the cricket skills they've been honing at school.
A big thank you to Mr Southam for organising our students and supporting them throughout the day. We're incredibly proud of their effort and sportsmanship!
We proudly acknowledge our students who uphold our Jarmbie value of being active citizens. Their enthusiastic participation in community events not only enhances their personal growth but also strengthens our local community. From volunteering at local charities to engaging in sporting activities, our students are making a meaningful impact.ย
