Windows 7 Updates: List

Introduction

Here are some Windows 7 updates sorted by Description. This list helps me avoid installing non-working updates for Windows 7. There are OK updates, NOK (not OK) updates, and failed updates (was not installed) – see the Result column. The dates are in format dd.mm.yyyy. This list has been created with the help of NirSoft WinUpdatesList by Nir Sofer.

Tips for Successful Updating

• Try installing in chronological order. For example "Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB24...)" before "Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB27...)". In Windows Update you can reorder the updates by clicking the "name bar".

• Try installing only about 10 updates each time and then restart Windows.

• Make notes on a different computer what you have already updated to find the problematic update. Or send your notes file to the "cloud" (for example to Google Drive).
