iPhone 6 Settings
Introduction
Here are my iPhone 6 settings including miscellaneous notes. See also: iOS App Settings.
Snapshot/screenshot
Press the side button and then immediately the Home button.
Share/import/get photos from phone
Connect iPhone to your Mac computer using the USB cable.
Don't try to share photos using Google+ or Gmail. It just doesn't seem to work. Google Drive seems to work.
After connecting and syncing your iPhone with your Mac computer, use the Photos application on your Mac computer to import photos to an Album.
Drag photos from your Album to the directory you desire.
Create a Ring Tone from a Song
iTunes 12 (OS X)
Right-click a song, select "Get Info" from the popup menu. Go to the "Options" tab. Use the "start" and "stop" options to play the music no more than 30 seconds.
File, "Create New Version", "Create AAC Version".
Right-click the new song (30 seconds or so), "Show in Finder".
Click once the new song in the Finder window that appeared and change the file type from .m4a to .m4r. Leave the Finder window open.
Go back to iTunes, remove the new song in iTunes (not from hard drive). Select the original song in iTunes and remove the no more than 30 seconds limitation you made earlier.
Go to the Finder window again and double-click the new song to start playing it.
In iTunes select the three dots in the top left corner, and select Tones to see that the new song has appeared there.
Connect your iPhone 6 to your Mac computer if you haven't already.
Go to your iPhone 6 section in your Mac's iTunes. Go to Tones, Sync Tones, Selected tones, select the new song. Click Apply.
In your iPhone 6 go to "Settings", "Sounds", "Ringtone" and select your new song.
