Raspbian Settings

Introduction

Here are some of my Raspbian (Debian) settings for my Raspberry Pi computer. See also: Operating Systems, Programs.

Raspbian "Wheezy" 2013 (Debian 7 LXDE): Raspi-config

Start: sudo raspi-config

Expand Rootfs

Do only once, if you have a big SDHC card in use.

Overscan

Enable

Configure Keyboard

Keyboard model: Hewlett-Packard Pavilion dv5

Keyboard layout: Finnish - Finnish (classic)

Key to function as AltGr: Left Alt

Compose key: no compose key

Use Control+Alt+Backspace to terminate the X server: No

Change Locale

[x] en_US.UTF-8 UTF-8

[x] fi_FI ISO-8859-1

[x] fi_FI.UTF-8 UTF-8

Default locale: en_US.UTF-8

Change Timezone

Europe

Helsinki

Overclock

None (700 MHz ARM, 250 MHz core, 400 MHz SDRAM, 0 overvolt)

SSH Server

Disable

Boot Behaviour

Boot straight to desktop: No (use startx to launch desktop)
