Google Gadgets can contain information for example about news, time and weather. They can also be used to search from dictionaries, translate languages, convert currencies, etc. And, of course, they can be used for entertainment purposes, such as for games, comics, videos and chat. Some Google Gadgets are meant more for personal use on your own iGoogle pages rather than on public Google Sites pages. See links below for a few Google Gadget examples. Note that gadgets come and go, so some of them may be missing some day, and I'm not actively checking them every day.
