Introduction
Here are some video capture device application settings for me, so for example in the case I need to reset a video capture device I can look at my notes to make it faster to apply the settings again. Blackmagic Design Intensity Pro
Notes
Description: video capture device.
Comments: Mac Pro has Media Express software, but I can't find Media Express software on Wings PC Desktop.
Digibox: Composite Video Capture
Connections
Insert the Blackmagic Design Breakout Cable (contains component, composite, voice, etc. cables) in to Intensity Pro.
Insert the yellow video RCA cable to the green 8 Y IN cable in Breakout Cable.
Insert the left audio RCA cable to the white 14 AUDIO IN LEFT cable in Breakout Cable.
Insert the right audio RCA cable to the red 15 AUDIO IN RIGHT cable in Breakout Cable.
Blackmagic Control Panel
Settings
Set output: [HDMI & Component]
Set input: [Composite Video (Y In) & Analog RCA Audio]
Use video setup in NTSC
(*) At 7.5 IRE for use in the USA
[x] Remove field jitter when video is paused (maybe not necessary)
Select output processing: [Off]
Select input processing: [Off]
Blackmagic Media Express (PAL-50)
Preferences
Project Video Format: [PAL] (use "PAL" with PAL-50)
Capture File Format: [AVI Motion JPEG] (AVI Motion JPEG is smaller than AVI 8-bit UYV and AVI 10-bit YUV)
[ ] Use dropped frame timecode (this setting is not available when Xbox 360 is in PAL-50 mode)
[x] Capture to DPX from a YUV source
[ ] Use absolute frame numbering when capturing DPX
When capturing DPX files, use [8] digit numbers in the frame count
[x] Stop capture if dropped frames are detected
[x] Stop playback if dropped frames are detected
[ ] Use Anamorphic SD 16:9 (I can't remeber this one and it takes time put devices and cables together)
[ ] Continue playback when in the background
Set deck to [2] second pre-roll for cueing
When capturing use a [0] frame timecode offset
When mastering use a [0] frame timecode offset
Blackmagic Media Express (PAL-60)
Preferences
Project Video Format: [NTSC] (use "NTSC" with PAL-60)
Capture File Format: [AVI Motion JPEG] (AVI Motion JPEG is smaller than AVI 8-bit UYV and AVI 10-bit YUV)

Connections
Remove the Blackmagic Design Breakout Cable just in case from Intensity Pro.
Insert the HDMI cable to the farthest (not the middle) HDMI port in Blackmagic Design Intensity Pro.

Set output: [HDMI & Component]
Set input: [HDMI Video & HDMI Audio] (only HDMI cable needed for sound)
Use video setup in NTSC

[x] Capture to DPX from a YUV source
[ ] Use absolute frame numbering when capturing DPX
When capturing DPX files, use [8] digit numbers in the frame count

When capturing DPX files, use [8] digit numbers in the frame count
[x] Stop capture if dropped frames are detected
[x] Stop playback if dropped frames are detected
